And I just now found out this was true for this one podcast I haven't listened to in awhile (Mythology by Parcast) and one of the recent episodes covers Guanyin's goldfish (here are the other episodes too).
No pressure on answering this, but I’m obsessed with your pocket monkey Au and I have to ask, how does Sha Wujing’s fish-y attributes mix with the other genes?
🌸Okay so here we go !
He's more of fish,hamster than monkey, so only people who know how to take care of fish and hamster are able 2 adopt them. you got to live somewhere where there's water so he can live comfortably.
They're omnivores they can eat plants and meat but their favorite ones are fishy meat. So you make sure you get a pocket monkey treats like fishy crackers specifically for this pocket monkie
Like plants they do need sunlight for their flower head, they can live without the flower head you can buy a little top for it if you're not a plant person but .... they won't like it.
The special plant on top of their head are miniature flowers that are usually big but made to look smaller just the right size to be a top, they protect the water inside the bowl of the pocket monkie. their specifically made for this type of pocket monkey they won't grow anywhere else if you try to plant them somewhere else. just on the top of this hamster head.
If the a plant over grows you should water them or trim the plant to a reasonable size the pocket monkey might feel light-headed or a bit dizzy if the plant is not taken care of.
These pocket monkies are usually as a go-to for cutie pageants.

I know as of now asking this you already answered a question about this- but I'm also obsessed with the pocket monkie au- I was curious about its living conditions...does the Sha Wujing one need both land and water?- kinda like a turtle I suppose?- if Sha Wujing is like a hamster and a fish?-
🌸Yeah, he does need a land and water but he can survive on land for a good whole day, he just needs to sleep in some water. other than that he's pretty much okay. but they do like to play in water splashing swimming around it's one of their favorite play times✨
