I feel this piece was a massive step into my current art style

Im back with portal scar kitty (still catra and jinx twin sister au, always)

Catra, not looking up from their book: Spear.
Jinx: BLOCKED.
Caitlyn: *turns on the kitchen light*
Catra: *sitting at the table, eating bread*
Caitlyn: its four in the morning.
Catra: turn the light back off.
Ok, so two questions about the chaos gremlins:
1 can they be left alone or will there be collateral damage?
2 what would they think about the other falling in love/ having a lover?
OK NUMBER 1
It depends on when. When they were little, collateral damage wasnt even a question like if u blink theyve eaten the furniture and cornered a cockroach into selling out its mob boss husband but it would be an accident and they would be able to pout their way out of trouble, season 4 catra could definitely be persuaded into wreaking havoc on etheria (she'd probably suggest it) as long as theres no way vi could find out, season 5 and beyond catra could be persuaded into standing on the sidelines while jinx does what jinx wants to as long as neither vi or adora have any way of finding out.
So in short
Baby twins: 100%
Teenage twins: 55%
Adult twins: 38%
They r maturing 🎉🎉🎉
Question 2 is a layered question bc
Im not exactly sure why I did this but it adds another layer of angst and it's funny but lemme explain
Catra doesnt necessarily HATE lux it's just that she doesnt trust her at all like. Jinx and lux got together soo quickly and jinx is so of the rails that she cant really trust anyone that would want to date her which sounds mean and it is but she just doesnt qant her crazy sister near another crazy person yknow? Her hate is out of love yeah
And lux doesnt like her because she keeps side-eying her and making snide remarks. So lux does it back
BUT good news is jinx and adora sort of get along. Jinx thinks it's funny when adora and vi fight and she knows that adora worships the ground catra walks on and adora knows jinx would burn everything to make catra feel better so yknow common uuhh common goals
Although adora doesnt like it when jinx visits etheria just bc something always gets blown up and she didnt a appreciate that jinxs first reaction to finding out about adora was to kidnap her and give her the shovel talk in her evil lair

Listen one time i read a fic where like jinx and vi were singers but they couldn't talk for some reason and i didn't finish it so i don't know what the reason was or maybe i forgot it and i cant find the fic any more but like it gave me an idea where like my twins au but catras taylor swift (as in she just like sings her songs yk) and when she first started singing and all that powder wanted to learn too so catra taught her and silco was living with them as sort of like a distant, scary uncle whos a businessman or like a music manager maybe and hes on his deathbed so powder shows him what catra taught her and hes like thats great kid shes your competitor and ive just signed a restraining order on your behalf and you can never see your family again and he fucking dies right after so everyones like devastated and vis also a musician like shes in a band with mylo, claggor and ekko i just didnt know who to make her. I didnt draw her sorry vi idk i know this doesnt make sense dont come at me
Shes so lost in life dude like she doesnt know what the hell to do with herself shes tied between wanting to honour silco and missing her family and legally not being allowed to see or talk to them and then since shes famous like ppl know if she does yk

been thinking abt her lately
I've been trying to be less reliant on blend modes / gradient maps and focus on picking colors by eye-- all I used was add for details and making the sword and shera transparent
I am super proud of how it turned out (definitely need to add more color to the skin in the future but this is a good start)
