Chisaki was wasted

With the MHA manga ending and getting an end to Chisaki’s story I have just a couple of things to say.  Most importantly wtf was that. Fortunately in every other piece of media I chose to consume my favorite character is usually one of the main ones or at the very least they are a fan favorite, originally when I started to watch MHA I fell in love with Bakugou but then everything changed when I saw season four and laid my eyes on Mr. Evil Bird Man. I was not expecting Horikoshi to dive into characters who really despised quirks and their existence. It was a fresh perspective on the series and as we got to learn more about  Chisaki I started to understand him more and more. I know fans of the show sometimes make jokes about being reincarnated into the show and being born with a hammer for a head. At first it would be fun to go into your favorite series, but the implications of that universes rules can seriously mess you up. For example Dabi’s flames burn him. Quirks are not always a blessing they can be a curse, a sickness.

I believe Chisaki was the first character to bring this up maybe besides characters like Skinner showing that he was bullied for his. Quirks are terrifying when you think about their potential effects, Eri accidentally killed her parents when she got hers and Shigaraki killed his when he manifested an altered version of overhaul. This brings up my next point. Why did nobody dwell on the fact that decay is the first half of overhaul?? Dose this not imply that Chisaki was experimented on as a kid as well? Is that why he is fine doing it to Eri since he clearly shows no remorse to her for his actions, only Pops? Is there some sort of trauma with him and that that he never addressed so he believes that what hypothetically happened to him was okay? Is that why he doesn’t care that he did the same pain onto Eri? This is where my issue lies. Chisaki was used as nothing more than a plot point to push the story further. We barley know anything about him. Why is he the way he is? There are so many unanswered questions.

Chisaki was used to introduce Nighteye, the big three and Eri’s quirk so there was a way to defeat All For One. He doesn’t get expanded on past the bare minimum which I think is insane for a show that has as many flashbacks that it has. The time line we have is that he was in one of All For Ones orphanages, he was somehow on the streets, Pops picked him up, he got into fights growing up defending his fathers honor and he was never really stopped from continuing to do so, then he’s a grown adult and we see his crazy plan being told to his father and he freaks out to then Kai needing to please and repay him so bad he did with anyway. Did Pops not give him enough love and reassurance growing up? Why did he feel the need to go out of his way to help his family. We know the Yakuza was weaker, were they being mistreated? If so why were they allowed to exist if they were just going to be mistreated?

Next thing I want to talk about is Pops and Kai’s reunion, I’m so upset that Pops was somehow woken up via technology. They should have just left him in the coma if Chisaki wasn’t going to get his quirk back. Now I like how Chisaki didn’t get his quirk back but it would have been so easy for him to with the way other characters quirks evolved, like Toga being able to use other people’s quirks of the blood she took, why couldn’t Overhaul turn into creating matter or having skin touch not just hands touch? How hard was it for Pops to be one of the civilians Shigaraki killed and Kai to go into such a panic that his quirk evolves and he helps the heros or goes after Shigaraki himself??? Which brings me to my next hot take. The only reason people hate Overhaul is because we got to meet his victim personally. Shigaraki, Dabi, Toga, all killed and hurt others but their crimes get overlooked because we never knew the names, faces, or anything really about the people who’s lives were taken. I’m not excusing Overhauls behavior whatsoever because the whole Eri thing was insane. I don’t understand why he couldn’t have just taken her hair, or sweat or something. Why blood??? If he needed her DNA it’s literally all over her, you really needed her blood? Okay crazy. ANOTHER THING THATS CRAZY IS POPS COMMENT. What do you mean Hari should have done better? This guy seems to love putting his problems onto other people, Kai is Hari’s problem, Eri was Kai’s problem. Dude you are his Dad maybe if YOU parented him he wouldn’t have turned out like this. Hari was his somewhat equal you had power not him.

Another thing people get mad about is the killing of Magne, she attacked first, just saying.

Lastly him losing his arms was beautiful irony. Yakuza getting fingers cut off for messing up in missions, him cutting off Compresses arm, him wanting to destroy Quirks. Shigaraki was a twisted genius when cutting off Overhauls arms. I’m not mad about him getting the consequences of his actions. I’m just upset he was never expanded on and the fandom collectively hating his surface level character when he had and has so much potential.

I might type more later I just wanted to get this off of my chest.

Rappa Fanart

HIII! It's been a hot minute haha! 😄School is starting soon, so expect a decrease in posts 😔 But I will still try to post atleast twice a week! Anywho, Rappa fanart. We all remember him for... (SPOILERS HAHA😜) fighting against Fat Gum in the Shie Hassaikai arc? well, I looked and there really isn't much fanart for him 🙁. but, he's a pretty cool character! He was super fun to draw too!🤩

Anyway, I have made two wheels, one is all the FNAF characters and one is all the MHA characters. I mentioned this in my last FNAF art post too, but soon, I will share these wheels for y'all to use. 🎉possibly later this week. anywho, I have been spinning these wheels to decide which character to draw next. It's getting a little drab though 😔 so, I just want to remind y'all that you can totally request characters! 🎉🎉any character from FNAF, MHA, or a popular TV or Movie I can do.❤ I would love to widen my variety so, it would be awesome! thanks for reading my rambling!! love yall!❤

Give a random headcanon for any character

That is SO vague, but okay

Mha headcanon, WOO!

Chisaki (aka Overhaul) has his minions deep clean the shower every time before he showers, and he showers twice a day; right when he wakes up and right before he goes to sleep. He uses latex gloves in the shower, and when he gets out he uses 4 towels: 1 to put on the floor so his wet feet don't have to touch the floor, 1 to dry his body, 1 to dry his private parts, and 1 to dry his hair.

Once he accidentally forgot to shower before bed and he woke up at 4am crying because he felt so disgusting

Ok ok! There’s all the change the villain to the hero fics which are wonderful!! But imagine,

The entire Eight Precepts of Death, Chrono, Mimic, and Overhaul as hero’s in a hero agency called the Shie Hassaikai.

It’d be so op and amazing! Change nothing about their personalities, maybe less violent, but boom!! Successful heroes!

Chisaki and Chrono would definitely stay ‘in the shadows’. Not doing much actual hero work, they just manage the business mostly.

Mimic focuses on the finances while also doing hero work, not much though.

Nemoto works with the police a lot, so he’s their bridge if their ever needed.

Rappa, Kastukame, and the Trash Trio (Setsuno, Tabe, and Hojo) are the poster boys basically. They rack in the most big bucks and have the most publicity. Tengai is too but less so.

Slosh works the night patrol but stays away from civilians because of his quirk. Often, Nemoto will join if he is not needed by police.

Unlike most agencies, they aren’t sidekicks. They are each separate pro heroes that grouped up for an agency. Similar to Kamui Woods, Mt Lady and Edgeshot, but to an extreme.

Most of their outfits are the same, but Nemoto changes the cloak for a suit during the day. The masks are used but not worn except when on missions and patrol.

Despite being not the most popular of the group, Overhaul is in the top ten, maybe number 3. He wasn’t happy when he found out bc he hates publicity, it makes him feel dirty.

Occasionally, there will be a rumor or accusations of shady dealings but they shrug them off. (Sometimes there are shady dealings, but nothing illegal.)

Overhaul has a personal moto when dealing with trigger happy villains. ‘It isn’t murder if they’re don’t stay dead.’

Now, he never uses his quirk like this in public but has removed and replaced hands before. He tries to make it so no one can see it though.

They don’t use it but they have loads of blackmail on every hero angency and high ranking pro. They know everything.

They share any new information but don’t actually use it. Though, if they don’t find anything, they’ll send a care package without a label and a congrats card.

is Kai Chisaki incapable of love?

platonic and romantic

Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?

(Ik I'm probably not the first person to point this out but whatever)

One of the most important people to Chisaki is the Boss who he clearly sees as a father figure though because studio bones fucking sucks they cut a lot of there interactions out of the anima

Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?

The Boss is one of the only people we see him show care or empathy towards

although as soon as the Boss goes against him with what he was planning on doing to Eri, Overhaul put him in a coma

Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?

But it's clear this comes from Kai wanting to make him proud it is still an incredibly fucked up way to do it

But I don't believe it's entirely Kai's fault I believe it's part of his quirk instincts (ie like how Himiko Toga's need to drink blood and La Brava loving people more intensely) make Chisaki more controlling

Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?

I mean, it's not outright stated, but come on, he can manipulate matter with his bear hands it's not a stretch to say part of the reason he's such a control freak is because of that

Which brings me to his relationship with Chronostasis, the only other person he cares about

Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?

We know Hari is one of his childhood friends though we don't know much else but he is Kai's right hand man and one of the only people we see Overhaul consistently trusts with Eri and his plan for the Shie Hassaikai

Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?
Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?

And even during the raid, we see Kai going out of his way to heal Hari while he eminently fused with Nemoto (probably killing him if Eri didn't rewind them) as soon as he wasn’t able to fight anymore

Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?
Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?

The big difference being that Chronostasis never disagreed with Kai to the extent Hari was more loyal to Chisaki than the actual Shie Hassaikai

While the Boss definitely loved his adopted son he wasn’t okay with his plan (understandable) and was worried about the path Kai was going down but in the end he was too late and didn't give him the help he needed

Is Kai Chisaki Incapable Of Love?

In conclusion, Chisaki is definitely capable of loving and caring for someone, though he'd definitely be controlling about it and do what he'd think is best in the long run

A Cycle

Child Abuse is a cycle.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. And just because it’s a cycle doesn’t make it excusable, it just make it more understandable.

Chisaki Kai.

Shown isolated, his (assumed) guardians/parents arguing in the background. With toys, and a couple ‘boy’ decorations on the walls of (what I believe) is his room.

A Cycle

He’s alone, and in a negative environment. (Literally he’s focusing on the old theory that quirks come from a disease instead of playing with his toys)

No ‘real’ positive stimuli. (By real, i mean actual interactions with people that will teach him how to act in the real world, plus show him that he’s actually supposed to talk to people, and physically touch them, and play with toys etc…)

(Kai doesn’t even attempt to look at the adult female and balding male figuresin the background, either he can’t hear (which is unlikely with glass) or he’s just so used to them fighting that he doesn’t pay attention anymore. He just doesn’t care about it anymore because hes so used to it?)

His lack of real stimuli growing up leads exactly to the man we are shown. He has ‘learned’ that touch is bad, that showing emotion is bad, and that all debts must be repaid, regardless of any morals or rules. However, thanks to the Yakuza he was raised in, he’s also become excellent at covering those tracks. At covering up his past and his feelings.

Eri. 6 years old.

She’s given a nice clean room, big bed, 'girly’ decorations on her wall, and brand new toys. (Though, as we know, she doesn’t even know how to smile anymore, let alone 'play’ with anyone or anything.)

A Cycle

(Similar situation to young Kai? You betcha)

Kai is giving her what was given to him, as he barely 'knows’ what children want from a caregiver:

A Cycle

Sweets, and that’ll get her to trust you? Yeah alright, whatever you think big guy.

Shaggy Yakuza member has a point, children don’t come with a manual, you (caregiver) must learn through trail and error what works and what doesn’t for a child, though of course suggestions and guidance from others obviously helps.

Kai, however, isn’t a man who knows what children want. He’s become Overhaul, what happened to him as a child has been pushed aside for his main goal right now, pushing the Yakuza back into the light and rise in infamy once more. Those feelings he once felt as a child have been buried deep, even in the panel where he tells Shaggy Yakuza to give her sweets, he’s cleaning up a quirk destroying bullets inside his hands. He gives a simple answer, and just as he wishes, the conversation is left at that.

Eri’s then shown inside her huge bed, not even bothering to cover herself up, thinking about how different Deku’s touch was from anyone else. The hands of someone who cared… I don’t wanna even know how long she’s gone w/o proper care, even before being left to her grandfather Pops by her hateful mother. She’s says so herself that no one has ever touched her in such a caring way before, no one. Not even her own mother.

Children remember a lot of their life up until they reach about age 6-7, so it makes sense if y'all wanna say thats she’s just forgotten about her mother caring for her or something. But it makes a lot more sense storywise that she’s… Probably never been in a very good place. From her home with her mother who called her a monster to the 'home’ with the Yakuza, she has traded one evil for another against her will. She couldn’t do anything to stop it.

Eri has accepted that though, it’s better to just bear through the pain until it’s over, and then repeat. She’s been told that her quirk destroys things, that she hurts everyone, she’s accepted that she isn’t good anymore. That what Overhaul has in store for her is her only use… Though we know she does still try to escape sometimes, as she does meet Mirio and Deku in that back alley…

Overhaul threatens her with just one simple tug of his glove, and she comes running back. To prevent him from hurting Deku and Mirio. Much like an abusive parent will rug on their belt to remind a child of the spanking they’ll recieve later on, she’s been 'conditioned’ to know that when Overhaul takes his glove off, pain ensues. Pain that she cannot stop. Though she probably felt really good about preventing others from getting hurt, like an sibling who will take the abuse of a parent in place of the other child/ren to prevent them fron getting hurt as well…

Overhaul however, I don’t think, didn’t learn this type of conditioning out of no where. It’s a thing people learn fron example, and as awful as it may sound, weve all been knew that Kai had an awful childhood. If he ended up on the streets, and no one even came looking for him, it’s pretty obvious that his parent/s didn’t care enough about him to really look. (Or I guess you could say that he killed his guardians and that’s how he ended up on the streets? But Nighteye never mentions Kai having any criminal record, so….)

It’s my belief that Chisaki Kai was emotionally neglected, much as we see done to Eri, and that’s what led to his personality as we’ve seen him as a grown up. Though, he does have his moments of blowing up… Much like a child who was never taught how to deal with emotions would. Much like he is that child.

Now let’s talk: Manipulation.

A Cycle

Shaggy man here does it pretty well, telling her that if she tries to run away again/doesn’t listen, that’s she’s gonna cause him to die. That it’ll be her fault. He’s just renforcing the manipulation tactic of, 'just listen and no one else gets hurt’. She should just suffer alone and by herself right? Make it less painful for everyone else around her? Someone as 'destructive’ as her should be grateful that she’s being given such new toys n the such…

Chisaki Kai, a young boy shown to be found on the street, quiet and weak, but he himself has chosen to be found there, or else he would’ve found a place to hide or have run away.

A Cycle

Eri, a young girl thrown into the Yakuza by a mother who didn’t love her. She didn’t have a choice to be found or rescued or anything! That’s ehy she attempts to escape, because unlike Kai, she feels no debt to the Yakuza for taking her in after her mother abandoned her.

A Cycle

Both came from broken families, and both ended up in the Yakuza. Both have 'destructive’ quirks that can actually be used for a lot of a good, aka Overhaul curing people of any and all diseases, and Eri’s ability to heal wounds that woukd otherwise hurt a whole hella lot/even kill at any other time.

Neglect of a child is child abuse.

Physical hitting/spanking/touching a child in a negative way is child abuse.

Both are awful, and both of these two characters have suffered through it.

Chisaki Kai however, wasn’t 'rescued’ (parallel to Shigaraki maybe) by a hero or even heros like Eri was. He was taken in by the Yakuza, the only place he’s ever known as home, and he’ll die for it.

Eri gets a chance to improve and learn to deal with her issues and become a normal young girl. She gets to learn that her quirk can be used for good, she gets to experience smiling, and playing, and having fun and being a child.

Kai didn’t get that chance. And he never well.

While Eri was with him, he repeated what was done to him (plus more)… the cycle continued.

(As always, I’m not saying it’s like 100% of children who were abused becoke child abusers, because there are cases where the exact opposite happens, but it’s very fucking likely for abused children to grow up and become child abusers themselves.)

Think of like… spanking vs no spanking debate. People who spank their children will most definitely say that they were spanked as a child and turned out fine. I’ve never met s single person in all of my life, seven connected families who spanked their child just because they could. They were always spanked as child themselves. Then you look at those who don’t, and it’s almost always because they hated being spanked as a child so thet don’t wanna do that to their own.

Now that that’s out of the way….

It’s really fucking creepy how worried and caring Kai looks/acts when Mirio and Deku meeto him… He’s either learned that over his years at the Yakuza, or it’s something he picked up from his mother long ago and has since become masterful at?

I dunno, my theory/'version’ of his childhood is:

Once his quirk shows up, his father hates it, maybe not his mother at first but eventually she does, and the father leaves at some point with a huge argument. She argues about hos dangerous Kai’s quirk is and what they should do, and Kai’s father leaves because he doesn’t wanna deal with it like a deadbeat dad.

Leaving with the mother carrying the ideal that he could destroy her at any moment, which leads to her neglecting him because she doesn’t wanna get near him. Kai is forced to leave his home shen he begins to starve from his mother’s neglect, and she never looks for him out of our guilt/maybe she even committed suicide, and that’s how Kai ends up on the street?

Anyways, we know Kai is found by a man after he is homeless, and the flashback with Kai as maybe pre-teen age walking with (probably) Pops under a umbrella means that Kai has been with the Yakuza a long time. He cannot remember a caring touch, because he’s never recieved one, just like Eri. He cannot remember touch at all, because his mother never wanted to touch him due to his quirk. Due to Overhaul.

Haha anyways this is big n long and kinda a mess, stay comfy tho.

I met him 3 years ago through one of the people who voiced the character. And little by little his arc in his work captivated me.

Honestly, thanks to him I watched all of Boku no Hero to understand the entire context. But mainly his way of being and his originality in history, design, motivations, hands, voice and quirk in Chisaki made me hate him but above that I also took a lot of love for him.

Furthermore, since we were in a pandemic, he was a refuge to move forward with that and other personal problems, as well as to motivate me with my studies.

If I have to thank a character for his existence, it is him. That's why I also felt very disappointed and saddened by the vague ending and poorly explained story that Hori told 😔.

Despite everything, I deign to say: THANK YOU AND GOODBYE CHISAKI!! WE ADORE YOU! IT DOESN'T MATTER IF EVEN THE AUTHOR DOESN'T LIKE YOUR EXISTENCE! BE ASSURED THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN A PART OF YOUR FANS' HEARTS! AND WITH YOUR FINAL WE WILL BE IN CHARGE OF EXPANDING OR CREATE A MORE WORTHY ONE FOR YOU! 😔❤️

Alright.

Since it's been days since we've gotten to see our beloved birdman Kai Chisaki one more time in the manga, we've all let our feelings out about his ending, either you hated it or not. Felts depressed and sad.

I gotta ask all of my fellow Overhaul, Kai Chisaki stans and fans: What made you pick Overhaul as your favorite character/ Villain in MHA?

Alright.

What made him draw you in?

Fascinate you?

Fall for him so hard, he drew you away from your previous anime/manga husband or wifu?

Where you a manga or anime only before his handsome villainous yakuza birdman came into your life?

Was it is character design? Mannerisms? His powerful quirk? His plan to erase quirks, his serum and determination to restore the Shie Hassaikai into power? His godly voice by both Kenjiro Tsuda and Kellen Goff?

(Pst, honestly, I love it all ;) His man's got my heart is a death grip; even if, he's competing with Trafalgar Law for my attention and affection, and now Dabi.)

Alright.

Instead of throwing around all the hate surrounding this man. Let's send him off with a bang! Love, support, the whole she-bang, even if, you still high disagree with his actions towards Pops and Eri.

-------------------------------------------------------------

(If every seems out of order or all over the place, I'm sorry! Please be, patient with me, and thank you!)

I've give my personal thoughts on Kai Chisaki, Overhaul. My yakuza birdman husband here! (huge breakdown/ summary, rant about this man; spoilers ahead!) Not like, I haven't been doing that the whole time, I've been on here XD I've talked with other Overhaul/Kai stans and fans on here, giving my two cents, which I love and appreciate to everyone who's talked and fangirled/boyed with me!

Be warned that I might to ramble, and this whole thing might now make sense, or is all over the place, again, I'm sorry! But if you don't mind, I thank you!

Alright.

I started off as an anime only, and watched on my own time. Even if I heard AFO's introduction, and All For One's and All Might's battle at Kamino Ward and All Might saying goodbye One For All in subbed first; my husband was watching it the living room while I was on my laptop watching a different series. The music drew me in and I couldn't look away, watching the whole battle with baited breath until it was over.

Then I watched the series by myself since I couldn't sleep months after. Cheering for Deku, smiling and crying with hm.

I watch in dubbed first, since it's hard to focus on subbed while having a toddler running around. XD Then rewatch it in subbed form.

Anyways, at the end of season 3 we get a tease of Overhaul's introduction. His voice, golden eyes drew me in, hook line and sinker.

Alright.

I've always been a sucker for bad boys and I love a man that wears a suit. lol So it gave Overhaul some brownie points. I know it isn't just me! Don't lie, haha.

The fact that Overhaul straight up challenged Shigaraki for the spot as the next King of the Underworld, pointing out his mistakes and lack of motivation once more; the same as Stain had in the previous hard, showing that Overhaul himself had been in the game a bit longer than Shiggy.

Overhaul while insulting the younger villain was indeed asking the right questions. Shiggy had misused and lost his powerful NPC's during the Training Camp attack with the Vanguard Action Squad, Muscular and Moonfish.

He had every right to question his motives.

Overhaul is blunt and spoke the truth about Shiggy's leadership skills, even if it ending with Magne's death. As sad as it was she did attack him first when if she was defending her belief's and the league, she didn't have to die. Compress didn't have to lose an arm.

Alright.
Alright.

The confrontation and damage done on both side makes you see that Overhaul is a dangerous man, with an equally dangerous quirk on top of being able to bring someone back to life if he wanted to, showcasing the quirk erasing bullets. We hadn't really seen an onscreen death before then, or at least, not that I remember.

Overhaul is cold blooded and driven, but calm and calculated; he's a man who's not afraid to get his hands dirty when he needs to, despite his quirks drawback and hate of the aftermath.

Alright.

When we meet him again with Shigaraki at the Shie Hassaikai underground meeting room, and the bits given by Sir Nighteye, it's clear that Overhaul has the means to til the scales of Villain and Hero society, if he was given more time and wasn't fighting against the clock. He still needed more funding and man power to mass product both sets of bullets.

Had he succeeded and gotten away with his arms still intact, despite losing Eri to the Heroes, we might have seen him and the right bullets again down the line, but it wasn't in the cards.

Alright.

(We finally get to see Kai, our birdman unmasked and his poor man get's done soooo dirty! First it's his stoic and impressive, criminally handsome face, then Shiggy took his hard work, him and Mr Compress tag-teamed taking his hands away, leaving him quirkless, helpless, in despair and he's terrified! Not for himself, but because without his quirk he can't reverse the damage he's done to pop's, he can't wake him up or talk to him again.)

Underestimating the Heroes, The League, and being overly cocky and arrogant played a major part of his own fall. His isolation from others and seeing his subordinates and closest friend as pawns to be used and thrown away didn't help, yet the men closest to his inner circle were indeed the most loyal of his followers.

It wasn't outright said, but shown that Overhaul himself was forgiving and understanding when Chrono or Nemoto made mistakes, he didn't scold them or yell at them.

( If I missed anything in this summary, let me know. XD )

Alright.

He's a well written character and villain. A man possessed and obsessed with fulfilling his goals, repaying Pops, the man who took him in and gave him a home, a place to be himself.

Alright.
Alright.

The way Pops found Chisaki as a boy, alone, covered in filth and I imagine he was hungry, always made me feel as if we were missing something from his past. He wanted more than anything to replay the man who saved him and rebuilding the Shie Hassaikai's former glory and reputation along with returning people quirkless.

Alright.

Might have saved so many lives who were eventually lost, but at the end of the day, he still choose the darkest route and solution.

If the Quirk Doomsday theory we've heard about and snippets we've seen so far. Different combinations of quirks are getting stronger and stronger, people like Touya who's bodies destroys itself while using his fire. There may come a time where not even support items could save a person from their overly strong and destructive quirk.

Could you imagine what he could have done with his quirk, if he was a doctor?! He could have replaced recovery girl's position as UA's school nurse or even a Doctor since healing quirks are so rare.

Of course, I'm not saying what he did was justified by any means.

Kai Chisaki, Overhaul is practically The Fullmetal Alchemist in MHA without the use of Equivalent Exchange! Yes, he threw away his human name, becoming, "a demon with no heart" as Pops says.

Alright.
Alright.

As we see him fuse with Nemoto and Rikiya Katsukame, each fusion he becomes more monstrous, a much more darker version of himself; fulling giving into "Overhaul," his villain persona, not carrying who he has to hurt to get his way.

I will admit that I'm down bad for Kai/Overhaul and his Monsterhaul form, Nemoto version, but the giant monster form, lol

Alright.

Now, let's get down to the nitty gritty.

Knowing about him being in Dr Garaki's/AFO's orphanage and that Shigaraki has a copy of his quirk. They more they parallel each other so much more after that reveal.

It explains so much about his character!

Alright.

Kai Chisaki won't flat out say it or address it, neither has Horikoshi but its clear that he was heavily traumatized and abused as a kid before Pops found him.

Oh yes, the trauma bucket! Like our beloved characters in the series doesn't have enough trauma as it is. Let's see how far that habit hole goes for Kai? -_-

The lack of remorse for his victims, justifies his action, manipulative, lack of physical response to violence, deception, and hostel, his acts are usually well planned in advance, irritability and aggressive behavior when provoked, reckless disregard for safety of others - antisocial and sociopathic tendencies.

Lack of empathy, believes he's special and the only one who can cure the world, need for admiration from Pops, his abandonment and self-worth issues go hand-in-hand with his fear of his father figure throwing him out of the Shie Hassaikai with his final ultimatum of dropping his plan.

Out of everything, we only get sprinkles here and there that Kai had done before snapping.

Alright.

You can see it, the way he tenses and his hands ball into a fists, no doubt, surprised, shocked, hurt even before redirected into anger and violence.

Putting his father figure into a coma, and taking matters into his own hands. Become the villain, we all know and love, adore, praise, however you see him as.

Before becoming "Overhaul," Kai used to get into brawls with anyone who dared disrespect the Shie Hassaikai, and wants to help the boss; protecting the honor of the yakuza and protecting them from being called, "Villains." (Classic delinquent behavior, I imagine he did it in high school since we've seen him do it as an adult.)

We see him wear normal clothes: black dress pants, blazer and purple dress shirt, no gloves and a black duster mask over his face. (I'd honestly, love to see Kai in more civilian, classy outfits! More unbuttoned shirts and all, please!)

Even if Pops scolding him and explaining that they must protect civilians instead of hurting them, the old man still affectionately pets the top of his head and praises him for protecting their honor. Which in itself is a kind gesture, but something I think he took a little too much into his heart.

The scolding for doing something dishonorable, but praised for his intentions has overtime been taken form into the most cold and logical extreme actions.

Nobody can deny that Overhaul's got drip! XD

Alright.

Overhaul's more professional outfits: the red and gold plague doctor's mask, and white gloves. Borrowing inspiration from All For One, he uses his quirks name as his alias, his Villain name and quirk ability, the idea for his quirk erasing and serum, as "Overhaul", he can kill and wants to change the world.

To preserve the past, he must engage with the present and became a villain out of necessity.

What's the difference?

The differences between a young Kai standing up for his father's honor and the snarling demon he has become. All of it against a world that had clearly outgrown him and the old ways of the Yakuza, but he refused to accept it and to protect his only family and most precious person, Pops.

Alright.

As we've been in the latest chapter of MHA, without his quirk, without his arms and plague mask, and the last time we saw him. Kai Chisaki, inside is still a boy who wants to make his father figure proud and wants attention and praise.

As Pop's said before he took things too far again, shoving the older man's wisdom and wishes aside, taking action into his own hands, not only crossing the line between the gray that Pop's held against the Villains' and Heroes, Black and White, Kai instead, erased the line and jumped over it, making his own line and walked into a dangerous and dishonorable path.

Alright.

======= What I missed last minute, sorry guy's.... I'm almost done, I swear! =======

It's clear, that he's smart and well educated, he could have studied as a medical student, read medical journals during his free time or just because he was a huge science and medical geek, we will never know.

My bet's on the ladder, practicing how to control his quirk and for the fun of it. He's the type of person to obssess with something and run away with it, a concerting amount.

You can't tell me that Pop's didn't walk in to Kai's room or living room, seeing Kai asleep on the couch or floor with a book either on his face or on his chest! Or Kai geeking out over a first edition or rare medical journal he found or Pop's and Hari had given him as a birthday present!

The birdman is such a workaholic that he's no doubt forgotten about his birthday, if Pop's or Hari didn't plan something for him!

Alright.

If Kai is such a health nut and germ, wash your hands after every speck of dusk lands on your hands, then I need to know his skincare routine!

Do you think his hands is soft?

We know he works out from how jacked he is from his back and abs, fuck, I'd gladly claim him like a tree X////////////x

Alright.
Alright.

I'm not the only one who wanted him to have those traditional tatts, right? Of course, it's optional and traditional, but come on! I excepted to see the Shie Hassaikai's embalm, sakura or at least, a raven something! Anything! Hell, all three! Well, in my fanfic he does.

Also, Lady Nagant, you lucky woman, getting to touch and dress Kai!

Alright.

Wish, I could trade places to pamper and comfort this man.

Screw you, AFO, Kai comes first.

I don't care if Kai comes off as stuck-up, spoiled rich brat, a bubble bath princess, narcissist and a asshole. If given the change to rock this man's world and fuck his brains out, you bet your ass I would!

If he could put up with my ditzy, clumsy, sassy, way too honest and smart-ass mouth, then fine. Baby needs to laugh more! I wanna see him smile!

--------------------

Well, it's almost 2am and I'm going to be. XD If you've had to through my rant/rambling of Kai. Share your thoughts with me... again, sorry for it being too long and wayyyyy all over the place.

Of course, I always forget something...... XD

Alright.

You too...Pops... :"v

You Too...Pops... :"v

Hey, I was researching again, and seeing all his opinions... and bro... Damn, old man! What crossed your mind, thinking that it was okay to leave the care of your granddaughter to a person who still had traumas, unstable and violent tendencies?

Damn, I come from a dysfunctional family and seeing those outbursts in Chisaki... it was so familiar... and obvious at first glance to know that Chisaki was like that a lot of the time under his "polite person" mask.

There is LITERALLY no way that Pops hasn't witnessed many of the outbursts in Chisaki. And yet he had the nerve to point him out for not following the right path when Pops most likely didn't really make an effort to correct it from the beginning, or didn't have the brains to do something.

We could say that he "tolerated" Chisaki beyond what was stupidly allowed, or rather... HE NEVER gave him the necessary importance to know the type of person he was creating.

With that situation, let's look at another important point. Her daughter, who after what happened with Eri's father, he made no effort to try to support her or help her cope with what happened and prevent her from abandoning her granddaughter.

And what was the best thing he did? Talking disparagingly about his own daughter, and then calling Chisaki's babysitter, evading much of her responsibility and without having thought of something more logical like seeking some help outside of Chisaki to know how to deal with Eri's quirk.

There is simply no excuse not to see Pops as a rather irresponsible and hypocritical person.
