Silas Birchtree! I lost my mind when I read about the cult of Ciphertology on the website. Silas was the closest thing we got to canon human Bill Cipher and I have barely found any fanart of him. So I'm here to deliver lmao.

Fun fact: birch is one of my favorite trees. I grew up playing amongst birches. I love how they have "eyes" on their bark. It made me feel safer as a kid because my tree friends were watching me. No wonder I'm so fucked in the head lmao.

This poem was originally written by Cecco Angiolieri, and it is meant to be improper and silly, going against the vaules of the time (at least this is what I found out after 5 min of research haha, and it reminded me of a certain triangle).

Found a Silas Birtchtree playlist and kinda fell Deep into a rabbit hole lol. Liked the idea of a Ford in the cult au scenario I've seen(So moving the timeline of the cult until Way Later obv) and was inspired by Silas' whole spiel of "You can't kill a dead man" or something similar.
So yeah. Ford is a little past his obsession and gullible era and has entered the "Oh Fuck Oh Fuck Oh Fuck What Did I Do" era. Kinda snapped and tried to kill this guy and yeah.. Didn't work.

i'm not seeing any posts about it here yet, but they solved the silas birchtree riddle on reddit and there's some pretty juicy lore! first, entering "paranoid" backwards nets this conspiracy board:
then, from the black letters in the corners of some of the pages people pieced together the code "connect the dots", backwards again, gets a whopping 12 page chapter about the ciphertology cult! it's...something.
entering the lady's name, emmaline butternubbins, into the computer finally gets you the reward for solving all the riddles: hd wallpapers of various graphics from the book of bill. but frankly this is more interesting and fucked up to me.

so in summary, bill puppeted a guy's corpse, became a cult leader, seemingly married over a hundred people, mass-possessed his followers, tried to get them to build his portal. his lone dissenter was a spinster who made anti-bill chick tracts and started a fire. a waco-style shootout ensued, killing silas' already-rotting corpse a second time in a disturbingly detailed manner. at some point he made some of his followers drink the kool-aid too.
