Awww that was so fluffy and sweet and then you made it so deeply romantic it took my breath away💚💙

Dean realizes there is more than one first kiss.

There’s a first kiss, both of them leaning in nervously, Cas’ eyelids closing when his nose is almost touching Dean’s. Their lips grace each other hesitantly a few times, testing, tasting, their breaths warm on each other’s skin before Dean slowly moves forward slightly and their lips finally meet.

There’s a first heated, passionate kiss. Cas is pinning Dean against the wall of his own bedroom and it feels like he is a teen again, overblown by all the feelings he can’t explain; the heat pooling in his stomach, on fire, raging. He’s clawing and clutching onto Cas who takes off layer after layer of clothing, seems almost angry at the fabric for standing in between him and Dean. His teeth bite on Dean’s bottom lip and he whispers that Dean is his, forever.

There’s the first kiss during sex, they’re too loud and too messy and too sweaty, and their noses are bumping together and Dean laughs in between his frantic breaths. He grips onto Cas’ shoulder as he pushes Dean into the mattress, kisses the wind out of their lungs. Dean forgot that it could feel like this, he forgot that he could feel this loved.

There’s the first kiss right before falling asleep, slow and lazy and gentle. Dean whispers sweet nothings against Cas’ lips curving into a smile. Cas runs his fingers across Dean’s chest, kissing back with half-lidded eyes. They sleep in peace.

There’s the first good morning kiss, half-asleep and smiling, pressed into the column of Dean’s neck, his jaw, skin mellowing under the warm touches.

There’s the first accidental kiss in front of Sam, who walks in and can’t stop grinning for the next few hours. There’s the first deliberate kiss in front of Sam and though Dean still feels nervous, having Cas nuzzle his nose against his cheek is worth it.

There’s the first light and fleeted kiss when Dean leaves for groceries, featherlight and sweet, the first ‘please come back to bed’ kiss left in the back of Cas’ neck, Dean’s arms wrapped around his waist, the oh so careful first kiss left on the back of Dean’s hand, just below the patched up wound.

There’s the first greasy burger kiss in a snack bar Dean knows he’ll never see again, but he will always remember the ketchup on Cas’ cheek.

There’s the first sticky ice cream kiss that leaves Cas grumbling and Dean laughing, and he kisses Cas again and again, right there on the parks’ bench, grinning mischievously until Cas is laughing too.

There’s the first kiss that catches him by surprise, he’s right in the middle of a sentence and Cas just cuts him off with his mouth, then continues to look at him with honest interest.

There’s the first kiss in the rain, soaking their clothes and hair as they stand and forget to care, there’s the first kiss in the snow, wrapped in coats and scarfs. Cas smells like Christmas, tastes like sweet apple cider and is the only warmth Dean needs. They say the hottest fires burn blue, and Dean understands when he looks into Cas’ eyes.

There’s the first kiss in the Impala, slow and lingering because Sam isn’t there and they can spend the entire night here if they want to. There’s the first nose kiss, the first Eskimo kiss, the first forehead kiss, the first kiss tracing all Dean’s freckles until below his waist.

There’s the first ‘I missed you’ kiss, they’re ripping off clothes and grabbing into each other’s jeans in a motel bathroom somewhere miles away from home, Dean can’t help but moan Cas’ name and prays they didn’t wake up Sam.

There’s the first soothing kiss, slowly taking care of every single tear left on their cheeks. Dean whispers I love you over and over and Cas tells him he never cried before. Dean tells him he’s beautiful.

There’s the first ‘I thought I lost you’ kiss, frantic and messy and dirty, surrounded by demon corpses, they taste blood and salt and dirt, they’re out of breath and close to tears, but they’re alive.

There’s the first make up kiss, after a fight with raised voices and slamming of doors. Dean apologizes but Cas tells him not to, that it’s okay, that they need to fight so they can learn and move on. Dean knows he’s right.

There’s a first kiss all the time, and Dean remembers each. He treasures every memory, loves them equally. One night, after their first kiss outside under the stars, he tells Cas. Voice low, hand holding Cas’ hand, and when he looks at Cas, he is smiling.

“I remember my first ever kiss,” Cas whispers and he gently puts his hand on Dean’s chest. “The day that changed my life.”

Dean waits, knowing the kiss Cas refers to, their hesitant kisses, their sweet confessions.

“It was in Hell when we met,“ Cas says and Dean does a double take, slowly sitting up to see Cas better. “When I pulled you from hell and I put you back together again—I kissed your soul that day. You had been torn, defeated, frightened, ripped apart. But your soul was still breathtaking.”

Dean stares, dumbfounded, barely able to see Cas’ full expression in the dark. Slowly, Cas leans down and moves his hand, looks up at Dean and kisses his soul again. For a second time.

This was so happy and cute, I think you made my heart melt a little🥺🥰

Simple Man

Masterpost link for Reelin’ In The Years: Here

wc: 924 Summary: Dean still can’t believe this happy little boy is his kid.

Life really has a way of pulling the rug from right under him sometimes, and yeah, sure, his life was constantly controlled by God himself, but who the fuck thought Dean would ever be walking down a grocery store with a little four-year-old in his cart giggling for Dean to go faster.

Jack stood up in the cart, looking like he was ready to start surfing while grinning up at him. A wide toothy smile made his chest ache because he missed his son’s older smile, but also, it ached with the love he still had for him. This small child was his, and if he thought of it too much, he was going to panic in the middle of the canned food aisle. And that would be fucking embarrassing for everyone involved.

But here Jack was now, an actual-looking four-year-old that barely reached his hips and loved to hug Dean’s leg as they traveled from room to room in the bunker. He looked happier than he has ever seen him, and —while he still sometimes talks like the old Jack and holds his memories — he was free to act his age.

“Dean!” The little voice grabbed his attention, and then he focused on the little face that pouted at him. Dean sucked in a breath as he took his son’s — holy shit, this is his son now — face in his hands and squished his little cheeks together. His light brown hair curled around his face, and blue eyes still so wide, still filled with so much curiosity and knowledge, stared back at him with a knowing glance.

“It’s still me, Dean. I promise.” Jack said between squished lips and tried to smile, comfort him, while Dean simply nodded at his words.

He let go of his son’s face and instead decided to pick him up and carry him in his arms for a while. It’s only been a week of having Jack like this, but holding him made Dean feel like his kid wasn’t going to disappear. He held Jack against his hip with one arm while he pushed the cart with his other hand. He made it harder for himself, but he also had Jack’s head laying on his shoulder, and that was worth bumping into a few people.

“There you two are.” Dean turned around when he heard Cas’s voice. He was carrying the oat milk Dean kept insisted they don’t need while Cas suggested otherwise. “I told you to grab the bread, and instead, you’re here.”

Cas put the milk in the cart and then sighed. “And you didn’t even grab the bread.”

“Jack, hug your Dad before he spirals.” Cas took Jack from Dean with a glare but no heat behind it. How can you be mad or annoyed when the cutest four-year-old was hugging you with all his little strength and showering you with tiny kisses.

Cas laughed, deep and warm, as he hugged Jack back. “Fine. Fine. You are forgiven, Jack.”

“What about me?” Dean leaned in closer with a smirky grin. “Am I not forgiven, or do I have to kiss you too?”

“Well, you can try, but you are quite annoying.” Cas looked away from Jack to give Dean a smug little side smile and — fuck — just seeing the same pair of blue eyes coming from his son and boyfriend just made his stomach do flips.

This is his family.

“I love you.” Dean leaned in and pressed a kiss to Cas’s cheek, hearing the shocking breath he took, before turning to Dean. He took a fistful of Dean’s shirt, pulling him closer, as his squinty eyes looked him over, looking for something before he relaxed. Finding it.

“What?” Dean asked with a low chuckle. Seeing the same concerned look from practically the same face was a little funny. “You two look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

“You’ve been happy lately,” Cas comments while Jack then adds. “Too happy.”

“Is that a bad thing?” Dean does grabby hands to Jack, who quickly unhooks himself from Cas to go into Dean’s arms again. “I’m happy.”

“It’s strange.” Cas teased before he took the cart and started pushing it forward again.

“Well, I like it!” Jack wrapped his arms around Dean to give him a big hug. “You should be happy more often.”

“Ditto, kid.”

“Come on, you two. We still need to go and buy Jack some new clothes, remember?” Cas called out to them.

Dean ran with Jack giggling in his arm before he stopped beside Cas and put his free arm around his boyfriend’s shoulders while they walked.

“I thought public display of affection wasn’t your thing?” Cas didn’t look at him as he talked, but the air quotes were definitely there. “Or have I been wrong?”

“Not wrong, but I like you today.”

“Oh geez, thanks.” Cas turned to roll his eyes at him as he smiled playfully while his eyes landed on Dean’s lips. “I like you today too.”

“Cool.”

Dean leaned in a pressed a soft kiss on Cas’s lips. His heart was racing while thinking of them being in the middle of the grocery store, but when he pulls away to see Cas blink his eyes open, them so bright and sparkling with soft love, all that initial panic melts away. Maybe a little PDA every once in a while was his thing.

“I think I’m happy today too.” Cas beamed at him, and for the first time in a long time, Dean believed him.
