After watching “The Judgmental Critter’s” & “Twiinsiink’s” videos about RWBY’s character design, I wanted to see the girls in different colors. So, I started with Blake.
Using Gravit Designer (because I’m poor), I recolored her jacket to fit her color palette more. I don’t mind her wearing white, but there was too much. The reason she wore white in the first place was to make sure you could see her body against her long black hair. I made her jacket dark grey and purple, so it matches her palette and stands out against her hair. I kept the belt and pouch white as a reference to Weiss, kept the gold accents as a reference to Yang, and in one version changed the belt across her chest to a dark crimson as a reference to Ruby.
I’m working on Weiss next, maybe I’ll brighten up her colors; I’m not fully sure yet. Tell me if you like it if you want to use them for something just credit me and send me a link. If you want me to recolor Blake in a certain way, like the colors of a different character or a flag, send me a request.
