After quite a bit of time spent contemplating what to include in my first post on this app, I've decided to keep it simple and give you a close-up of the painting I've used as my profile picture. :]

That, and pictures of two very real cats whom I have the pleasure of cuddling on a daily basis! Their names are Asta and Bosse, respectively. ^-^

I'm very aware that they both look like fluffy, adorable super villains scheming to take over the world, but I'm also very aware that nothing else would be quite as fitting for these two little antagonists.

I'm very new to this app, and I'll be learning as I go, so please try to be patient with me as I try to figure out all of the features. :']

English is also not my first language, so please forgive me if I use a word or phrase in the wrong context.

Hello friends! I hope you're doing well ^-^

I've been working on this funky piece for a while now, adding new things when inspiration strikes, but I've been at a loss for what to add next for some time now!

I've included two pictures since the first one has more accurate lighting, but the second one is more recent and therefore has additional details. (Please forgive the less than ideal quality of the more recent picture, I couldn't get any good lighting at the time :'])

I figured I'd see if the internet has any suggestions or opinions on what I should add (or take away, that's always a possibility), since I myself can't seem to decide. I would greatly appreciate any criticism or suggestion you're willing to give me! :]

Ps, the rainbow piercings were suggested by my dad lmao, I have to give credit for such an amazing idea

When you work out, take a shower, drink a hot beverage, and life suddenly isn't so bleak for a little while

That being said, have this weird piece I'm working on :]

It's a mix of charcoal and watercolour pencils, I'm currently working on cramming some more contrast in there.

It's definetly not perfect lmao, the circles are free-handed, as well as the rendering on the eyeball :']

More often than not, I tend to just kinda wing it instead of making it easy for myself by using a reliable reference lol

I said I would make art, and by god did I do just that (for once)

Here's a little armadillo friend!! I don't know why my mind was immediately set on armadillos when I was looking for something to sketch, but I do know better than to question - t h e m i n d - *insert ominous music*

Now that I think about it, it's probably because we just got armadillos in minecraft lmao

I think he turned out pretty cute! The paws were really fun to put on paper, lots of big, swoopy lines which I love :]

I'm trying to build up some more confidence when it comes to inking, so I forced myself to ignore my anxiety and actually picked up my fineliner for once, instead of just leaving it as a pencil sketch lol

It was really satisfying to see the scales start to pop out from the page, and adding all of the final details in white gel will always be the best part of any art-session (especially all the little hairs on this dude's shell, that was so gratifying) 😌👌

I'll definetly be turning to armadillos more often in the future when I'm looking for sketch material, these funky little guys have so many fun textures, and their cuteness-levels are through the roof TT^TT<3

Hello friends!

I've decided that I'm gonna start posting some of my old art on here, so that I have it all saved neatly in one place :]

Of course, a lot of my art was made with references that I don't own the rights to, and therefore not allowed to post, so I'll only be posting things that have come directly from my mind, with the exception of art that was made using royalty-free references (which I honestly don't think I have lol)

That being said, here's victim #1!

I made this around mid-2023, if I remember correctly. I started sketching with no real goal or expectation, and I had no idea what kind of vibe the final piece would have. I never would have guessed that he'd turn out to be an android! (gargoyle and vampire both crossed my mind while sketching, but evidently, neither one stuck with me)

I used quite a few different supplies while making it, mostly because I like to mess around but also because I had no plan whatsoever for this guy lol

The sketch was in graphite of course, but the colouring is a bit of acrylic paint, some water-based ink, and a smidge of alcohol-based markers. The blue detailing is white gel pen with blue marker on top :]. The outlining was done with a dip pen and black water-based ink, which I think gave me some pretty nice line-variation!

I had a lot of fun with placing the different panels, and trying to make them and the blue markings flow in a convincing way on top if his skin (can I call this skin? He's made of metal but like, I can still call it his skin right? TTvTT)

Overall, I'm really happy with how he turned out! ^-^

I decided to name him Bryan as a little homage to Detroit Become Human, since the actor who plays Connor is Bryan Dechart :]

In retrospect, the blue detailing on his body is definetly influenced by DBH as well, even if didn't realise that at the time of making him lol

I definetly think I'll return to this character in the future, I don't doubt he'll become a main OC of mine at some point ^-^

Here's some more old art of mine, although it's fairy recent compared to other stuff I've made lol

I honestly find hands to be so much fun to draw, especially when they're the main focus of the piece :]

As it turns out, I did like this piece a lot more as a sketch, but I still like the way it turned out in the end so I'm not too mad about it ^-^

I doubt it'll come as a surprise to anyone when I say that the long nails were an afterthought, I personally think they turned out lookng pretty out of place :']

Nonetheless, I still really like this one! The hands turned out really well in my opinion, and I had a lot of fun making it which is all that matters ^-^

Currently trying to get back into digital art, I keep doing the outlines on the sketch layer :']

Anyways, here's a quick little doodle I made to try out different brushes and see which ones I vibe with! ^-^

I'm not sure where this very anime-esque style came from, my usual art style is a lot more semi-realistic lmao.

I had a lot of fun messing around with and customizing the different brushes! I found myself very drawn to the watercolour and charcoal/chalk pastel alternatives, which isn't really a surprise considering that I work traditionally lol.

One downside of digital art, however, is that I'm confined to a very small surface (my phone screen, to be specific), but I can't zoom in and out while working traditionally, so I think that feature makes up for the smaller canvas-size :]

I'm doing everything on the same layer, with the same brush. I've decided to use this method every once in a while, because I don't want to get too comfortable with all the features and brush options since I do still want to make traditional art every once in a while :]

Heyo! Have this really self-indulgent piece I made just now :]

There is no lore whatsoever behind this picture, I just did what I thought looked cool lmao

I've been part of this fandom for a little while now, but I haven't made any art related to it until now. (scandalous, I know)

I think it's pretty obvious that I didn't stick 100% to his canon design, but took a few creative liberties regarding things like his markings and shell.

One thing I had a lot of fun with was choosing which colours to use, and how to then shade each colour later on :]

It's really cool to see a character that I relate to so much in my own art style, I'll definetly be creating more fan-art in the future! ^-^

(and I don't doubt these green dudes will re-appear in my art, it was fun to draw something that isn't quite human :])

Progress is happening! :D

The hair is one big, messy heap of 'fuck around and find out', and it's been an absolute blast to work on so far ^-^

I'm a huge sucker for exaggeratedly choppy, blunt fringe, so I obviously had to include that in this piece lmao

(I'm definetly gonna add in a buuunch more flyaways. My excuse is that he's been electrocuted, so his hair must be as floofy and messy as possible in the afterlife)

I'm currently tackling his glass eye, trying to make it look slightly off and all that jazz (I imagine he would have reconstructed eyelids on his right side, which is why that eye looks rather different, especially when you add the prosthetic eye on top of that fact)

I'm still far from finished, but I really like how everything is going so far so I figured I had to share my progress :]

(Forgive me if something looks off {other than the prosthetic eye lol}, I'm rendering with only my stubborn-ness and imagination to guide me :'])

I finally have some new funky art to post! :D

And this one is a lot funkier than my previous posts, because it's a sketch of an absolutely delightful rottmnt-OC created by @so-called-yokai!

This, my fellow nerds, is Eshra! ^-^

Or well, a very rough, unfinished sketch of a *very angry* Eshra lol, the feathers on his arm should be covering it, rather than growing from where they currently do. I've only done some rough colour-blocking, which is why that's the case :]

As stated by so-called-yokai, he's essentially what would happen if a velociraptor and a cockatoo had a really gay, anthropomorphic baby

You can find a character sheet for this delightfully fluffy bird-boy on their profile, it's just a brief scroll down. You definetly won't regret it, the artist did a wonderful job ^-^

I asked for permission to draw him a little while back, and since then he's quickly become a go-to subject when I'm looking for sketch material lmao, can you blame me?? The crest is so incredibly fun to play around with on the drawing-board, and it's also super fun to draw a character that leans more towards animal rather than human, it makes facial expressions so much more fun to draw for some reason hahaha

Why, they use their own hand as reference while standing at a tilted drawing board, of course!

That being said, have some studies I'm doing right now :]

(featuring both of my hands, har har)

(and my eyeball, I gave up on trying to find The Right Reference™)

...But seriously though, holding your arm out in front of you like that while trying to get a decent sketch down before you lose energy is a challenge and a half, I might even go as far as to say two :']

My arm started shaking around halfway through TT>TT

I don't know if anyone else can see it, but this looks like what fainting feels like to me, if that makes sense

It reminds me a lot of that really dizzy, static-y feeling, right before you lose your hearing and everything starts to sound like your ears are filled with water

(I don't know if it's the same for everyone, I assume there are some differences depending on the person and circumstances, but I imagine there are quite a few similarities as well)

It just has that shaky, weak feeling written all over it in my eyes, I'm not quite sure how to explain it lol

Here's a WIP I've got going on right now :]

(don't ask me what type of tree this is, it's straight out of my ✨brain✨ so I have no idea whatsoever lmao)

You could say that this is what my mind looks like, more or less, since that's where everything on the paper came from

I guess that means I've made a mind-map of sorts! ^-^

I'm not sure why I always gravitate towards twisty, twirly trees when I don't have a specific thing I want to sketch, maybe it's simply the stickbug-side of me feeling homesick lol

I plan on using water-based inks to colour this thing on the actual paper, but I'm definetly going to try a buuuuunch of different colour-palettes digitally first so that I don't make any decisions I'll regret lmao

My current idea is to use oranges and blues, and maybe some turquoise or olive green as an accent colour :]
