I've been working on something witchy, and I'm getting distracted by thoughts of witch reader and witch hunter Taehyun, who became a witch hunter because of his father, following the family line. He fell for you before he knew you were a witch, and when he finds out, he's not sure he cares. He knows you're not evil like he was taught all witches are, and he definitely can't turn you in. But there's another witch hunter in town who has grown suspicious of you, and Taehyun swears he'll protect you, even if he has to fight off angry mobs who come to drag you into town for a trial you both know will end in fire. Even if he has to stand guard at your doorstep and not sleep a wink for months on end, for as long as it takes until they all move on to the next target.

Royal stablehand Taehyun who attracts the eye of every lady who visits the castle. The way he doesn't break a sweat while shovelling hay, often heard whistling to himself without any inkling of the fact that he's being admired as he works. His sweet dark eyes looking up to greet you with a smile over the neck of the horse he's brushing with long, smooth and gentle strokes despite the strength he possesses, exhibited when he hefts the generous weight of leather and blankets up and over the tall animals when saddling your own mare for you.
The concern he shows when you walk your horse into the stable after returning from an outing, explaining that she threw a shoe while you were riding. You weren't hurt, were you? He looks you over briefly with shining eyes, smiling when you affirm all is well, and he promises to take care of it. You linger in the doorway, out of sight, and watch as he gives your thoroughbred gentle care, talking to her softly all the while.
The same stablehand Taehyun you find in the middle of the night, sitting tiredly in the hay with a pregnant horse. Stroking her coat soothingly as she delivers her foal, the awe and pride beaming on his face at the arrival, still not leaving to go to bed for a couple more hours until he knows they're both happy and healthy.
