"The Captive of Discord" Chapter 9 "Later in the hospital"
It was a miracle Discord ended up alive after that terrible fire in his circus. Let's just hope, he'll get well soon.
Circus Accident Aftermath
After fully recovering, Discord was summoned to court as a witness.
The defendant, as expected, turned out to be Tirek, who had changed a lot since their last meeting: he looked like a weak, exhausted old, even ancient man, despite him being only 51 years old.
Thanks in part to the magician's involvement, Tirek was found guilty of the circus fire accident, as well as a number of other crimes, and was exiled to Tartarus prison.
A couple of days later, Discord came to visit his old... "friend".

The young rulers of Equestria - Celestia and Luna - and their regent Starswirl the Bearded!
Starswirl in TCOD is 550 years old wise sorcerer, who is still alive thanks to some secret artifact similar to philosopher's Stone.
He is the leader of the Pillars, the group of ancient heroes(still alive by the same reason btw)
When Luna and Tia were just little girls Starswirl was the one in charge of the country.
Moreover, Starswirl the Bearded is the hierophant of Equestrua, which means he can directly contact with Fausticorn herself, looking for advice or wisdom from the Goddess

Gargouilles
How the hay am I supposed to spell this correctly??:^:
A Distant Land is a mighty kingdom, home of such species as gargouilles and centaurs(despite the name, completely normal human race)
Current king, Scorpan, is the Greatest gargouille in the Distant Land's history. The kind and wise king who's only mistake was to let his older brother to go by the path of wrong...
And finaly...
Draconeequi
These guys are not just ordinary humans they appear to be. Modern Draconeequi are born in human forms nowadays, though their real forms are the most terrifying... That's why even they are calling these their "Beast Forms". Their true forms vary from having horse body parts to not having such.(They're still called Draconeequi because they all are equaly powerful. And Grogar(and me) was just too lazy to give each specie of Draconeequus a special name)
Ancient powerful creatures, unable to die from old age. Their powers are so strong that a mortal body is unable to contain it without a cost. So most of them are born with some extra... features in which their magic is contained(horns, wings, tails, extra hands, etc.) Without these Draconeequus would be killed by their own magic destroying the "mortal" body. They're hiding these features with a spell, so no mortal is afraid of 'em.
Back in the ancient Equestria, when Draconeequi joined Fausticorn and lived in peace with other humans, there were about 150 families of such, playing an important role as nobility and guardians of Equestrian peace.
Discord and his cousin Eris are the last pureblooded Draconeequi left.

Twelve years passed since Discord and Fluttershy survived the fire and got closer to each other than ever. Discord came back home from the circus and Fluttershy desiced to make him a special drink.
