TurtleQuest!
I made a quick little guide to show how to get started on the TurtleQuest exploration puzzle in version A.6!
It's just a silly little thing, but it's also a fun challenge that will teach you a few valuable lessons about how to survive in TOMORROW FOREVER.
TOMORROW FOREVER has a few different kinds of missions now, so I made a little video explaining the challenges that each can bring!

Ever wonder how to get your start in the wide world of spacecrime? Have a gander at our new instructional video, based on real gameplay!

The many worlds of TOMORROW FOREVER are linked via gates, giant naturally occurring wormholes stabilized and reinforced by technology. The question is, what does that mean for the world? How does that affect how people live, and where they can go?
I dug into it a little bit, check it out!
MACHINE GUN
Our last group playtest brought the feedback that the drone jammer missions kinda felt like they were just dropping you in the desert with nothing but an "okay, good luck!" And you know, I think that's fair. Many of the gadgets are built around moving through a structure, so being totally exposed with a totally exposed device to protect isn't always a great feeling.
I first looked at the problem as something that I had to fix, but it became quickly apparent that dynamically and reliably placing useful and interesting cover and support systems was going to be extremely difficult without making other concessions, so I decided to focus on giving the player the tools that they need to secure the area themselves.
These pocket autoturrets are coming along nicely then, with just a little bit of polish left to do...and probably a dramatic reduction in the number you can carry. As you can see, it "only" takes about 20 or so to trivialize the mission, even at difficulty 3.
Oh yeah, and I may have thought that a certain sound effect was going to be the sound of a machine gun firing, instead of, well, you'll see. I haven't had the heart to "fix" that yet, we'll see if I muster the courage later.

TOMORROW FOREVER A.8: Hello, World is here!
This is the first publicly available version of TF, so give it a look! The biggest change is definitely the rebuilt hacking mechanics, but we've also got four new gadgets, five new enemies, and a whole ton of other improvements!
You can download the game for free right now at https://supreme-hubris.itch.io/tomorrow-forever Let me know what you think!
Hey all, work is progressing on A.9, and I just wanted to let you know that you can expect it to include:
A server browser, to make joining multiplayer games with friends easier.
Rendering Enhancements, making a lot of things prettier
New Mission types
Mission Giver NPCs
All this new stuff is at least two weeks, maybe more like a month away from a playtest, but I'm looking forward to the next playtest and I'll keep you in the loop as we get closer!
In the meantime, you can try out the game for free now on itch!
There's a lot of new hacking mechanics are coming into Tomorrow Forever, so I made a video showing some of them off!
This last update was a huge jump forward, with hacking finally achieving the effectiveness that it needs to be a primary pillar of the game. The future holds more ways to hack into things, and more to do with those things once you're in, so stay tuned! I'm really happy with how these things are coming together.
Oh man, I might have to steal this for my game, it's too good.

gonna call in a shitter like it's a medevac helicopter and I'm a wounded GI in the jungles of Vietnam

You know I'm really happy with this facemask I made. I just wanted to do one of those sort of wraparound metal beard masks, and I sure am glad that it came out as looking like a sci-fi mask and not, say, the distinctive beard of a well known intellectual.
Most of the helmets coming into the game in the next update are full face coverings, but given that pretty much everyone these days has replaced their soft eyes, all you really need to get through a caustic or low-density atmosphere is a breathing apparatus that covers the ears. So I think we'll see more like this in the future.

TOMORROW FOREVER Weekly Update!
New Shaders, new save files, L0AN_W0LF is in and edgy, Mission Givers give missions based on Trust, and we are officially a web3 crypto game! jkjk on that last bit.
Another week of progress! This week I built a new navigation system prototyped some new mission types, and more!
Hi all! I made a video to talk about how I motivate players in TOMORROW FOREVER. It can seem like an obvious thing, but there's some real nuance in how you handle this critical aspect! Check it out!
This video was made available to my patrons a week ahead of the public.
Got some great progress in on bringing the vehicles of TOMORROW FOREVER to their best. It's always so satisfying to see things coming together like this.
The Unity Mess
I’ll say more later on when the dust has settled a bit more and I’m more sure of what to do, but I’m not looking forward to the real possibility of having to decide between:
The Extremely Painful Option: Porting 2.5 years of unity development into Godot, an engine that I don’t know super well.
The Unacceptable Option: Shipping a game with an unclear but nonzero amount of adware built into it, that could annihilate my finances if it gets popular the “wrong” way.
Unity is such a great engine, but this really shows me that regardless of quality, any proprietary for-profit engine is a liability, especially a publicly traded one. It’s clear that even the vast majority of unity employees don’t like this, but a few rich parasites thought it would make them more money so here we are.
One way or another, TOMORROW FOREVER will live on though, and I won’t let anyone turn it against itself, or its community, no matter how small we may be.
I’ll wrap my decision into a few other announcements about things I’m finalizing when I get them soon™️, and I welcome any feedback/comments in the meantime.
(Probably) Switching Off of Unity
Okay, just finished another godot tutorial and I'm loving it. I'm about 98% sure that bailing from Unity to godot is the plan. This is a big change, with lots of good and bad, and I don't do it lightly. I'll give a more solid announcement once I'm 100% sure, ideally next week. I'm just waiting on a few things to either happen or not.
A few other changes will come with it too. I've outgrown the Supreme Hubris Games name, and I'm pretty well done with the game being unfocused and not fully playable, even though I love it as it is. Don't worry though, I have concrete plans to solve both those issues and more.
So, big plans and big changes coming!
Full details on my Patreon here, but the short version is that Tomorrow Forever is going to be a full game soon, and I've got another trippy little project coming down the pipe: DitherDream!
The best part of 3d model asset packs is being able to get out of this stage ASAP, at least in my experience. They can be creatively limiting in the long term but the sheer morale boost of having things look like things instead of boxes means that a lot of my projects start out with a giant pile of placeholder synty models as soon as the very basic mechanics are in.
This probably doesn’t apply to people that are better at 3D modeling? Idk though.

gamedev is great because all my levels look like this at the beginning and I have to assure myself it'll look good in the end if I trust the process and I'm not a complete hack
