VFX - Tumblr Posts
I greatly appreciate artistically skilled filmmakers like Yamazaki. In general the fact he pulled together so much for this film is amazing.
Nevertheless it is worth stressing that filmmaking requires significant cooperation and at times innovation, and Minus One is definitely outstanding in this regard as well with how much its production was streamlined to accomodate the budget.

I know it’s meant to be a threatening scene, but I can never stop laughing when I see it. This is me and my cats when I’m trying to get work done.
Hey yeah in the midst of all the hype and the strikes, can we PLEASE fucking talk about this
What if I told yall CGI isn't some monster? It's actually art, much like practical effects. Companies just don't pay vfx artists enough
I haven't seen the movie but unless they were actually blowing shit up their VFX team was probably 1) large 2) worked very hard. But neither of that matters, CREDI YOUR MOTHER FUCKING TEAM!

Neural Network in Emerging Visual Effects Pipeline
In this post we consider potential of neural networks in improving quality of 3D renders in production environment. This may be accomplished through massive 3D dataset training data for entire space of various lights and various cameras.
LOKI is a deep neural network that has achieved exceptional performance in generating realistic water simulations and interactions with creatures for the movie Avatar: The Way of Water. It has received technical awards and recognition among peers in GPU-optimized fluid processes, demonstrating its mastery in this specific domain.
LOKI's capabilities have been honed through careful training and fine-tuning, enabling it to augment and accelerate the visual effects pipeline.
LOKI's success is a testament to the power of collaboration between human expertise and AI capabilities. Its technical achievements have contributed significantly to the movie's visual fidelity, helping to create stunning and realistic environments and creature interactions.
While "perfection" can be subjective, LOKI's accomplishments in its designated tasks suggest a high level of proficiency and accuracy, making it a remarkable example of AI-driven innovation in the field of visual effects.
The tumblr logo recreated in Music 2000 with the Video Track editor. I've been doing VFX (sorta shaders) for fun (as DuckStation savestates) for the past 2 years now and they're mostly on my YT channel. I might maybe upload these here or in a sideblog dedicated to them (if I could idk, haven't decided yet). :P
Happy Res'Cas' Day!

Introducing the Lefty Freeman, the second coming of Ericorsio
Hey, just made a sideblog dedicated to my Music 2000 VFX creations that will also be a misc. blog for anything involving my interests inspired by some blogs I've been following. I don't know how much I'll flesh that out, though. Also, sorry for the name, I wanted to call myself this since 2020 when I had just started kinning a certain videogame character, but whatever. Enjoy!

Do you post your 3D art anywhere? I'm curious
I'm in the middle of a 3D break just because I did a whole lot for a couple years and kinda burned myself out trying to figure out what I wanted to specialize in (animation, modeling, vfx, etc.). I can share some of what I've made, but it's pretty basic stuff - I still consider myself a student.
