I've seen some people headcanon the Voice of the Cold as aromantic. I headcanon Cold as aromantic too, but I also like to imagine the Voice of the Hero as aro.

If I remember correctly, I don't recall Hero being into the Princess like Smitten (and maybe Stubborn?). All he does is comment on the Princess' beauty. It would be interesting to have a stereotypical hero-type character who is supposed to save a princess be aromantic.

My personal take on The Hero's design, as well as a few of the voices

I always liked to imagine the voices were represented by little necklaces/charms that they would use as a vessel to speak through-mainly just because I like designing accessories. I might do more in the future, but for now here are my favorites!

So I actually had these Slay the Princess sketches for a while because I wanted to draw each of the voices but as different birds because that’s how I always saw them. But I never ended up doing that. Might draw those at a later date.

I’m a firm believer that the Narrator would be a Magpie because magpies are bitches and he is a bitch. Plus several irls when I showed them said would so take that with what you will.

I’m pretty sure that The Voice of the Hero is the protagonist’s sub-conscience (if not that’s my headcanon at least) and while I love to draw him as a crow, I went with this bird called the Bateleur eagle for the unique look alone. (And also bird symbolism.)

Didn’t draw anyone else except for the Smitten (a peacock of course) and the Paranoid. (He’s a Kiwi and no one can convince me otherwise.

... good question. Well, first things first, look at all those poor vessels making up her dress! They gotta be cold. Maybe some of the voices (with easily translatable outfits) could help?

Being a slay the princess fan is stupid as fuck because I’m like yeah that disembodied voice is my blorbo. Yeah I know he’s an abstract semisentient representation of a thought but he’s my favorite character. Embarrassing.

This took much longer than I thought it would, but finally, the STP x TSP crossover drawing is done!
