Save a horse ride a cowboy am I right
(I'm so normal about this man)

Uh oh looks like someone realized he has feelings (and for the person he so desperately wants to hate? Dramaaaa)
But Who's Counting?
i got my first request and i'm so happy rn :0 so thank you to whoever sent it :)
request: could i request volo missing the reader after the mt. coronet battle, and if you want their reunion?
answer: absolutely!! i hope this is what you wanted!!
warnings: none, but i did use gender-neutral reader because it was not specified :')

It's been two months, fourteen days, and six hours since Volo found himself defeated and utterly hopeless. But who's counting? His plans of creating a new, better world were destroyed by the 'Hero of Hisui' and yet, he can't bring himself to hate them.
As much as Volo wanted to hate them, he just couldn't! Their determination, their belief in something better, and even their annoying attitude that sent him leaving like a Pokémon with its tail between its legs drew him in to wanting them. Missing them. Longing for them.
While he hadn't been officially exiled from Jubilife Village, it was the idea that the Hero of Hisui would reveal his true intentions and plans that would lead to his exile. So he remained hidden in the caves of Mt. Coronet, hoping, pleading, praying to Arceus above that there was someplace left for him in Hisui.
Volo felt desperate. Desperate for human contact once again. Desperate for some of that famous potato mochi. Desperate for the comfort from the Hero of Hisui who had destroyed his attempt for a better life for himself. For them.
Though Volo would never admit it at the time of the battle, he was hoping they would accept his offer to join him in the new world he would have created if successful. But he doubted it - especially after he encouraged Giratina to kill them.
With a sigh, Volo found himself looking for berries one morning as the sun was peeking over the horizon, Volo heard his Togekiss chirp.
"She's probably just hungry..." Volo muttered to himself, turning to feed the bird some berries before the rest of his Pokémon. What can he say? Togekiss had always been his favorite of the six he wielded.
But instead, he found himself face to face with someone he thought had left him for dead and abandoned him.
The Hero of Hisui.
"Volo?" They asked and looked at the taller man with hesitancy and confusion. He looked a bit weaker than the last time they saw him. His hair was no longer in the signature bun we always wore, but rather down to his back and a bit tangled, as if he has left it to its own devices - very much unlike the Volo they knew. Additionally, Volo's facade of the happy-go-lucky merchant was long gone. Left was the shell of a man who had seen his dreams disappear before his eyes.
There was a moment of awkward silence between the two. One looked defeated and broken while the other was still in their Survey Corps uniform, likely completing their Pokédex for that overly kind professor.
Volo blinked. Once, twice, three times. "Yes?" He asked, unsure where to even begin at the prospect of a conversation with the person whose trust he broke in the matter of minutes.
They looked at Volo, weary to approach the former merchant who had threatened their life and the fate of the world as they know it.
He grew impatient. What did the hero want? To scold him? Tell him off? Have their Pokémon attack him until he's left weeping and begging for mercy? But none of those sounded like them. No, not at all. They were always too kind, too soft, too perfect.
"Are you just going to stand there or-" But Volo is interrupted.
"I've been looking for you." The truth is out. Volo stepped back in surprise as Togekiss chirped a bit more, nuzzling up to the Hero of Hisui's side, which allowed them to cautiously pet her.
"Pardon me?" Volo looked at them incredulously. What do they mean by they have looking for him? The man who betrayed them?
Surprisingly, they chuckled at Volo's confusion. "You're an enigma. But I had to find you... for answers." But if Volo wasn't mistaken, that last part sounded more like they were convincing themself of their motives more than anything else.
Now it's Volo's turn to laugh. "What is there to know?"
"Why you left, for one," They snapped a little, their patience had worn thin a long time ago with the former merchant. "Or maybe I want to know why you tried to kill me after you took me under your wing while I was exiled, hm?"
Volo was speechless. Why had he left? Why had he tried to murder the person he had grown accustomed to and dare he say trust just for his goals. Maybe he could blame it on his ambition, and determination his willingness to fight for his goals. Or perhaps it was all the pain he had experienced in his life being one of the last of the Ancient SInnoh people aside from Cogita - which he hasn't been in contact with for a few days as she's truly been the one to keep him afloat.
But Volo's next words surprised him.
"Guilt."
They're taken aback as they looked at Volo like he's lost his mind.
"Guilt?" They echoed, a look of confusion written across their face once more. "For what?" They truly tried to be sincere, but it came out more as a scoff.
"Don't make me explain myself, please," Volo whispered weakly, his usually imposing frame was hunched over and looked fragile. Something they had never seen before.
"I never told anyone, you know."
"About what? My plans or my attempt to take your life?" His tone was full of sarcasm now as his glare sharpened. As long as he had this mask of a defensive man who claimed to care about nobody, the Hero of Hisui could never find out his true feelings - how much he craved for them to speak to him again.
"Both."
"Oh."
There's another awkward silence.
"Why?"
They sighed and felt all the emotions come back to them from that day. "Because... I don't think you meant what you did."
There was that stupidly positive attitude again. Volo wanted to roll his eyes and to scream, but he stood still as he waited patiently for them to continue.
"There has to be some resemblance of the man I knew before he went mad." Togekiss chirped in Volo's defense, backing away from them as they glanced down at the bird. "No offense, Togekiss." The bird went back and nuzzled against their hand for more pets.
Volo looked away, guilt was eating him from the inside. He glanced at the berry in his hand and tossed it to Togekiss, who happily accepted the treat.
"Am I right? Or have you lost your sense of self?"
They had a look of anticipation in their eyes. One that made Volo avert his gaze from them.
"It depends on what qualities you're looking for..." Volo sighed, feeling the guilt weigh down on his shoulders even more. How could they have such high expectations for him after all he had done?
Although they were about seven meters away from Volo before, they approached him, now just a meter away.
"Perhaps I don't know, but I'd be willing to find out with you." They extended their hand for Volo to take. Like a peace offering.
Volo blinked as he glanced at their hand. Then gazed into their eyes.
Hesitantly, Volo reached out and grasped their hand firmly in acceptance.
Two months, fourteen days, and six hours ago, Volo would have yanked them to the ground and claimed victory over their weakness and trust.
Now, two months, fourteen days, and six hours later, Volo found himself accepting of their offer, wanting to find himself again. But who's counting?
THIS IS SO CUTE I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT
One Kiss (maybe two)
request: maybe you could write something angsty about an upbeat and energetic reader who's always making jokes and talking about things from the future that no one in hisui understands and when they get banished volo finds them by themself and they try to be strong but break down about how alone they feel
answer: of course! sorry this one took a little longer, i was busy today :3 i left the ending kind of ambiguous so there could be a second part if i really want to write it, but who knows! also so sorry if the ending feels rushed, i really tried lol
warnings: hurt/comfort, use of Y/n, non-canon accurate dialogue (bc i forgot :P), and aged-up mc

Hisui is not for the weak and lighthearted. That is something that Y/n found out soon enough after arriving in the past. Their optimism and carefree attitude is frowned upon, if anything.
But they persist, constantly talking about the future as if everyone will understand. They don't.
"Professor Laventon! You would love computers! They do all of this stuff where-" Y/n would start, a gleam of excitement in their eyes that takes the professor by surprise.
"I'm sorry, what is that? It sounds intriguing, but I'm afraid I don't understand..." Professor Laventon would feel guilty for interrupting, but he truly does not understand the complex technology this hero knows about.
And often, they try their best not to sulk away, brushing off the comments like they mean nothing. But there's only so much a person can take!
So as soon as Y/n is exiled from Jubilife Village, they find themselves sitting in the Obsidian Fieldlands, sulking until they hear a voice from behind them.
Volo.
The one person who is as excited and eager as they are about things, although he's more interested in the past than the future.
Y/n turns to Volo, a soft smile on their face when they see the merchant approaching. However, they stay silent, afraid that they may break down in front of their friend.
“Trouble seems to follow you wherever you go, hm?” The merchant smiles down at them, wagging his finger in their face as he usually does when he’s exclaiming something. He notices the strained expression on their face - they’re desperately trying to look okay while their eyes give away an entirely different story. “Perhaps you need someone to listen to your troubles?”
Scoffing, Y/n turns away from Volo, reluctant to open up at first. “I appreciate your concern, but I’m quite alright. Just feeling a bit betrayed by people I consider friends.”
That’s when Volo’s face falls. That truly can’t be all, can it?
He puts on his usual smile and tries to cheer Y/n up, wagging his finger in their face once again.
“Oh, but maybe there’s someone who’s willing to listen to your ailments and problems!”
Grabbing his Pokéball, Volo releases Togekiss, who is more than eager to see Y/n despite their exiled status. Truly an unbiased creature. The bird Pokémon snuggles up to their side, practically begging for pets as Y/n hesitantly reaches out to run their hand along her feathers.
“When did your Togepi evolve?” Y/n asks breathlessly as their fingers glide over the ruffled feathers, making Togekiss chirp in happiness.
“That’s irrelevant, wouldn’t you say? She trusts me enough and now I find myself with a great Pokémon by my side!” He smiles softly at Y/n, noticing how this outsider like him has been ridiculed and suffered greatly, just like him. “How about I take you somewhere exile won’t find you? I know just the place!”
The pair walk the fields of Hisui, Togekiss following along, chirping excitedly every time Y/n pets her as she flies by. She seems to know exactly where they’re going and is anticipating their arrival.
Night falls as they approach this tent-like building in the middle of nowhere near a creek. Y/n meets Cogita, a wise yet kind older woman who seems to genuinely want to help them. Relief floods through Y/n’s veins at the revelation.
Volo and Y/n will be setting out on their adventure tomorrow afternoon, but in the meantime, the two sit outside the small tent set up outside, talking and making plans as to how they will connect the red chain. But unexpectedly, Volo brings up a much different topic.
“I can tell you’re still upset. What’s truly got you so down? I don’t believe I’ve ever seen you like this before… so gloomy and sad looking.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Y/n looks away from the taller blond merchant. They can’t break down here! Not in front of Volo! Not in front of the merchant they’ve grown a strong attachment to over the few months they’ve been in Hisui!
Volo laughs out loud at this, which catches them off guard. “You’re a terrible liar, Y/n. Go on, tell me what really has you sulking like a lost Aipom.”
Y/n sits there stunned into silence - how can Volo tell? Are they really that easy to read?
There’s awkward silence between the two, the merchant giving them an encouraging look to continue.
Y/n sighs. “I suppose I’m very frustrated. Why was I sent here? What purpose is there to me being exiled when all I’ve done is help Jubilife Village.” Now they’re starting to sound bitter about the whole ordeal. “Every day I try to be this positive Survey Corps member who is willing to do everything Commander Kamado and Captain Cyllene want, but it’s taking a toll on my mental health!”
Another moment of awkward silence where Volo is about to respond until he hears sniffles coming from Y/n. Are they… crying?
“And on top of that, I try my best to remember my past - or future, really - and then I’m met with glossed over stares and uninterested faces. No own cares what I have to say and it hurts!” Y/n finally snaps, tears streaming down their face.
To be honest, Volo is stunned and unsure what to do at first. But he moves to gently wrap an arm around Y/n’s shoulder and pull them closer to his chest, where they rest their head as they sob and hiccup.
Gently shushing them and running a hand along their scalp for comfort, Volo looks down at the Survey Corps member with pity. “You know none of this is your fault. There are outside forces working here that no one knows is at play. Your exile was a mistake by Commander Kamado and I promise you one day, you will be able to speak your mind about it and prove them all wrong, whether sooner or later.”
“Volo-” Y/n begins, unsure of what to say, but the merchant continues to gently shush them with a soft noise.
“Trust me, Y/n. You’re much more capable and stronger than you think. If you can make it through exile and prove them wrong, you can get through anything. I mean it. I’d want you on my side no matter what happens,” Volo looks at the Survey Corps member sympathetically as he continues to run his hand along their scalp.
Suddenly, Volo moves one hand to their chin to force them to look at him. Y/n obliges, their breath catching in their throat when they see his stormy gray eyes that are full of mystery and ambition. They see how Volo’s eyes glance down at their lips and back into their own eyes.
Y/n lips part and they nod.
Volo takes that as his opportunity and goes in to kiss Y/n gently on the lips. It’s soft yet passionate, something they would never expect from the tall merchant. There are still tears running down their cheeks, but Volo doesn’t seem to mind.
After what feels like minutes, they pull away breathless, Y/n with a dopey grin and Volo with a confident smirk.
"Does that prove to you how much I care?" He asks with a sly tone in his voice, running his thumb on their bottom lip.
Y/n hums. "No, you may have to show me again."
Now Volo laughs, throwing his head back a little. Once he regains his composure, he looks back down at Y/n and kisses them once more.
He may have to do some convincing, but Y/n will be worth it in his new world...

I don't think I'm supposed to like this
What the fuck am I looking at right now? What the fuck is this?
WHAT IS THIS!? !Σ( ̄□ ̄;)

which one of you fuckers did this
Fei Hargreeves dating an ornithologist (someone who studies birds)

A/N: I was just thinking about how cute it would be for Fei to date someone who's super passionate about birds and this is what I came up with :]
Warnings: some swearing
Fei first met you one day when she was out at the park for a stroll
Some of her birds had approached you where you were sitting on a bench throwing breadcrumbs
You noticed they were different from the other birds who usually came to the park, so you offered them some of the shiny knickknacks you carried with you for situations just like this as a peace offering
By this point, the crows were intrigued by you, and Fei was as well
She decided to walk over to you and introduce herself
You knew who she was, obviously; I mean, who doesn't know about the aweshocking members of the Sparrow Academy?
When you told her you were an ornithologist, she was thrilled
She found it intriguing that you were so passionate about studying birds and their habitats you decided to make it your profession
Fei decided to ask you out, right then and there, to which you said yes
She could listen to you talk for hours about birds and their habitats
"Now, the interesting things about crows is-"
Most people don't like it when you ramble on and on, but she does. She thinks it's cute you're passionate about something, especially on a topic that hits so close to home and resonates with her so deeply
You enjoy helping her crows find things they can use for their nest, including pebbles, shiny objects, etc.
Often times you'll lose your keys, only to find one of the birds took them to their nest to use as decoration. You're certain that's what happened to the key you gave Fei to your place
Her birds are very protective over you. If they notice there's someone who's making you uncomfortable or appears to be a threat to you in any way, they will not hesitate to attack, beaks open and talons flying as they go in for the kill
If you're any kind of professor or you work at someplace like a college Fei will often sneak into your classes and sit near the back of the room just so she can listen to your lectures
She does this so much at this point she has a designated seat reserved specifically for her, and if she can't make it for some reason then it's because either a) she had some Sparrow Academy shit she needed to do and told you beforehand, or b) something happened to her because she will make it to your lectures, even if she has to rise out of the grave to do it people who have seen s3 will see the irony in this statement
There have been times where she's walked in on you using her birds to put on a fashion show, complete with little hats and everything. She learns not to question it at this point
If there are ever times where she can't find some of her birds for whatever reason, she doesn't worry too much. She knows that they're most likely safe with you, and that you're taking good care of them <3

Concept: The reader who gets thrown into Hisui can actually still use apps on their Arcphone, and have internet. But only somewhat. They actually can’t type anything. They can’t posts tweets, make any text posts, send any texts, nothing. However, they find a loophole. They can make and send videos, and take pictures. Then they get the idea to stream being in Hisui. It technically works! They don’t have to type anything, just go live and go from there! Bonus points if they were like, a popular streamer/youtuber, or even the Sinnoh Champion before being yeeted to Hisui.
I know for a fact I'd be either a menace or a health hazard if I got into self! Aware hisui. Mostly because I have a hard time falling asleep - therefore I can fall asleep standing. Falling asleep standing in a world where alpha pokemon roam, seems like a bad idea on paper , but an afterthought when tired.
Other than that, I had a small continuation of the spectre ish reader. I imagined earlier what the consequence would be if reader didn't automatically get attached to the main character:
Volo, for example. Would probably benefit from having the spectre attached to him, as this would make a shortcut both to communicating to this God beyond the screen, but would also make it easier to achieve his goal as the reader would technically have to help him, as they would t know what would happen if they did get detached (and would rather not figure out).
Laventon would have someone who knew every pokemon, even just based on the bare bone explanation. His fieldwork would be easier, and he would get information on pokemon not even in the current region. He would also have a portable guide on how to better approach them, who to approach and so on so forth.
Ingo would have someone who knew who he was, both strained and taken from their homes. Reader could enlighten him on who he was, who he left behind and maybe help him get back, as the spectre reader too would be connected to the code keeping him here. Who knows, when they take a more human shape they could help him with lady sneasler or help at the training grounds?
But what if..., imagine if they got attached to a pokemon form? A zoroark has been lurking around one of the galaxy camps, way outside their natural habitat, not that its caused any trouble. Far from it, in fact its been helping with leading (scaring more like) people back to camp if they got lost. Later, the pokemon is replaced with a person wearing a zorark mask. They still stand in the distance, far too afraid they will mess with the code if they get closer - maybe they'll just watch a bit longer.
Holy moly this got long! Sorry about that, got kinda lost imagining!
This is very interesting!
Volo would probably do everything in his power to keep you with him, maybe even try to figure out the code to make you a body. You sound like the voice from the sky, He wants you to stay with him, especially when you describe his world like it’s a game. Surely, you must be a god? What else could you be, if Arceus itself was nothing more than something for you to catch for fun in your world? Laventon would probably be slightly horrified, yet curious. You don’t seem malicious, far from it. You seem to even enjoy his company, and helping him out. You even know about pokemon that don’t even exist yet! You are incredibly polite, and enjoy helping him. All he has to do is describe a pokemon to you, and you instantly fill in the blanks. After the first few times, he was able to confirm every detail you mentioned. He honestly enjoyed your company. Maybe he can manipulate these numbers he sees, and give you a body. It’s the least he can do! Ingo would be wary at first, but would quickly grow to enjoy your company. You knew who he was, and happily informed him of his past. He will admit, he was slightly upset to learn his life was nothing more than a game in your world, but you seemed nice enough, and only wanted to help him. And help him you did. You told him all you knew about him and his brother, and felt he deserved better than whatever happened to him to land him here in the first place. He feels the desire to help you, maybe figuring out the code to make you a body. It’s the least he can do for helping him out! Though the idea of using a Zoroark is so good! What if you had the powers of one though, and could create an illusion of themselves?? Finally after manipulating some code, you can make a body, but it still looks off. Looks too generic. So you use the code to give yourself a Zoroark mask. People still stay away from you, but you don’t entirely mind. Eventually, people grow curious of the stranger who seems to help them when they are lost, or being attacked by pokemon. Like magic, you can make pokemon freeze, and lead the poor soul away from the pokemon, and direct them towards the nearest camp. You become the hot local legend. What were you? Some sort of deity over Zoroarks? You seemed to favor them, though you didn’t hate humans like most people assume Zoroarks do. You don’t even really speak, just pointing towards camps. Could you even talk? What were your motives?? Just don’t be surprised when you suddenly have people visiting you, and leaving you offerings...
Super super dumb Pokémon legends Arceus AU/fic prompt where Akari is Giratina.
Arceus sees Giratina causing problems and creating space time shift and dragging people through and is not happy, so is like ‘You broke it you fix it’ and copy and pastes Dawn’s body shoves Giratina in it and just yeets them down.
Giratina/Akari losing their memory and being really confused, also not sure how-to human properly.
Them just going through everything as normal, no one really noticing apart from Pokémon when about to attack stopping because they can sense somethings off, and all the Pokémon lords/ladies just being like ‘The fuck are you?’
They get more confused when Akari accidentally uses Giratina powers. Some people/Pokémon get really confused.
Ingo still totally adopts them and when he finds out is just like ‘Yes still my kid’ and returns back to Emmett like ‘Yes I am back form the past, here meet my child they are an amazing trainer, saved hisui and is also Giratina’
Volo has NO idea what’s happening he keeps trying to summon Giratina and nothing happens Akari keeps having her phone ring but no-ones there. They only realise when Volo challenges them tries summon Giratina and their phone rings.
Bonus:
Summoning Arceus is just them screaming at the sky like
‘YOU FUCKING DICK GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!’
