Best dang pm we could ask for

Someone has probably suggested this before, so forgive me. But, do you think the reason the doctor likes Earth so much, can never truly seem to leave it behind, is because there are moments, few and far between, where if he squints, he can almost convince himself that Earth is Gallifrey. On days where the sunrise bleeds blood orange across the morning sky, when frost has covered the trees, making the leaves shimmer silver in the right light, where spires and cathedrals clutter a city skyline, a planet alive with people who look Timelord. Do you think the Doctor stays because its as close as he can get to home, even if just for a moment. Do you think a small part of why he fights so much to save this silly little planet is so he doesn't have to watch Gallifrey burn a second time.

i don’t know if it’s intentional, or if this is already common knowledge, or just a very common jukebox, but the one from 15’s tardis is (i’m like 85% sure) THE SAME as the one shown in s1ep2.

i couldn’t find a very high quality photo (it was 2005 after all), but i think it’s the same??

Spoilers for episode 3 of Sarah Jane Adventures

Context: I started watching new who and then I heard about torchwood and Sarah Jane adventures, but didn’t lay much mind to it. Then I realized that Sarah SJA and torchwood seem to actually be important and cross over in 4/12 of Dr who. So I begrudgingly binged torchwood season 1 and just started SJA.)

Me: alright, I guess I’ll watch SJA just to be able to understand some things in Dr. who and torchwood, but I doubt it will be that good 😒

I suspect there are earlier visualizations which influenced the Leekley Bible, which then in-turn influenced New Who, but I'm not sure how to find those pre-1996 visualizations. Y'all have any info on that?

everytime i watch anything that has paul mcgann in it i always sit there afterwards thinking what a fucking tragedy it was that he never got seasons as the doctor.
