listen, hot ,angry, tense, fumbling hatesex in the backroom and vicious hickeys hidden with carefully placed collars chapyard is nice, but catch me emo about soft chapyard
sometimes rudyard wakes up, just knowing that eric’s left, that he’s realized he’s too good for him, but eric just mumbles, “i can hear you thinking” and pulls him close and runs his fingers through his hair
eric putting little positive notes in each of the daily slots in rudyard’s medication case, saying things like “don’t forget to smile today, the world needs a little more sunshine” and “the voices in your head are never as honest as the ones out here"
eric getting lost in his own head again, and pacing, talking out loud to himself and he’s panicking because he can feel himself spiraling, and then rudyard suddenly says something so brutally honest and cutting that eric just stops because oh. he’s right.
rudyard can’t cook for shit but eric’s mother always made him watch the family cook make the meals, because he was going to learn at least this part of his heritage, and his empanadas de calabaza are so good they cured the twins’ depression for a whole five minutes
rudyard tucked into a little table in the back of eric’s cafe scribbling furiously in notebook with a cup of black coffee (and 5 sugar packets). "rudyard?” eric says. “what.” he replies grouchily. eric makes his way over and leans across the table, planting a kiss on rudyard’s nose. “i love you”. rudyard is pink and speechless
rudyard being proud of eric when he opens up about his past because he knows it’s hard for him. they both have things they want to forget
it rains a lot in piffling vale, and at one point rudyard mutters, “fuck it” and runs out into the rain, laughing like a lunatic and jumping in puddles and getting absolutely soaked and feeling so. alive. and eric stares out the window, open mouthed, because rudyard has never looked so beautiful before
lazy mornings where it’s warm under the covers and rudyard latching on like the little heat leech he is, and eric yelping when he sticks his cold toes between eric’s legs
rudyard is an absolute sucker for pet names, and eric absolutely abusing the fact that saying “rudyard, love” can get him to do just about anything
gentle touches, just putting a hand on an arm or shoulder to say, “i’m here, i want this, and i’m not going anywhere”
