y'all i got a bone to pick with therians who go out of their way to distance themselves from furries.

sure correcting misinformation (e.g., "oh are you wearing a collar because you're a furry?" "actually, i'm a dog therian and this helps me connect to how i feel inside") is one thing but those of y'all who are like, "NO im a THERIAN im NOT a furry how could you EVER associate me with that-" make me tilt my head to one side.

y'all, furries are our cousins. bless your hearts, just because you're a therian don't mean you're exempt from showing furries the same love and respect that you would want. and don't even get me started on how hating furries is just one hop skip n a jump away from hating on queer and neurodivergent folks.

same goes for furries who hate on therians, of course. again, we are cousins! we are all weirdo freaks in the eyes of the fash. let's not have n e infighting now. it does no 1 n e good and y'all know that.

Oh, to run that fast that you're able to see that blur...

oh to feel the earth between my paws and have rain pelt down onto my fur, the cool breeze of the forest washing over me in waves as fog begins to form

need to run through puddles, feel the muddy water splash up against the backs of my legs, feel wet wildflowers paint their petals along my hide, need the fresh taste of overflowed creek water against my teeth

need to smell the fresh blossoms of trees and grass coming back from their 6-month slumbers, the air thick with the overwhelming scent of honeysuckle and pine

Dude being both a feral and domestic canine is funny. Like i wanna be free. Being wild, living in the woods with a pack. Hunting, and running through fields. Ripping apart small animals and chewing on sticks.

But I need to protect a human. Be loved like a pet. To be cuddled up in a warm bed with my human. To be given treats, and play with toys. To be taken care of and be protected. I have such loyalty to the people I love, it's crazy.

Me but herding and searching for things

Props to working-dog-kin that want to bite humans but I CRAVE being let out into the field chasing raccoons up into their trees and then baying my absolute lungs out . Hope this helps 🙏
