Writeblr Intro! 🌷

Hello everyone! I'm Faye (she/her). I'm a 26-year-old office worker who loves hiking, TTRPGs, cats, and writing! It's been a hot minute since I've used Tumblr, but I'm willing to give it another try since there's such a wonderful, thriving writing community here!

I've had time to start fleshing out a few of my story ideas recently, and I hope to publish both novels and serialized web novels!

My preferred genres are definitely fantasy and horror, but I'm also a fan of sci-fi. I'm also a huge sucker for found family, magic with consequences, defying fate, and bittersweet victories.

I'm totally open to ask and tag games! I'm here to meet cool people with cool projects and maybe learn a thing or two along the way, so please force me to interact! 😊

hello, writeblr! I'm Theo Vaughan; early thirties, writer, reader, and gamer. I live in the midwest, and I'm a college student majoring in veterinary technology. I'm non-binary and transmasc, and I use he/they pronouns.

I write primarily queer romance, with a particular emphasis on stories with a trans male protagonist. My stories also tend to lean a bit darker. They'll all have specific content warnings on them.

And Hell Followed

When Adrian was twelve, his friend Malcolm vanished. The police marked it down as the typical case of a runaway kid from a broken, impoverished home, and Malcolm was never found. But Adrian always believed that Malcolm was kidnapped. His best friend would never leave him without saying goodbye.

Now twenty-two, he's never forgotten Malcolm, and now works with kids to prevent the same thing from happening to them. He has no idea that his childhood best friend is still alive — and has been following him for the past six months.

And one night, he takes Adrian.

Waking in the cold basement of an abandoned house, Adrian doesn't know why he's been kidnapped, or who has taken him. And the mysterious masked man who brings him dinner is silent on the matter.

The days pass, and Adrian slowly tried to make friends with the masked man. Whether it's out of hope that he will free him, or simply out of desperation for contact, he talks to the only person he can.

But it soon becomes clear that his captor wants something more from him.

Impact: Elysium

Nikolai Sullivan is an astronaut. Well, a psychologist, really. His job is to monitor the mental health of the crew of the SSE Elysium, a scientific vessel exploring the depths of unknown space, further than humanity has ever gone before. Their mission is to discover more resources for earth's growing population and its expansion in the stars.

The Elysium never reaches her destination.

Crash landing on an unknown planet, Niko is separated from the rest of the crew in his escape pod. His chances of survival are low, even on the miraculously habitable land he finds himself on — until he stumbles upon a group of primitive yet intelligent alien beings that are surprisingly human-like.

The Havrai, as they call themselves, might be human-like in appearance, but they couldn't be more different in culture and even biology. But Niko has no choice. They are his only chance at survival.

As the rest of his crew is searching for him, Niko discovers more about the Havrai, and the mysterious ancient ruins that surround them.

Not to mention the Havrian who insists that Niko is his mate.

The Unreality

The Unreality is a big big series that I’ve been working on for just under a year. It has stupid teenagers, world bending powers, cosmic horror, what more could you ask for. | Book One | Book Two

status: working on the second book :3

summary: It’s the 1970s and a group of teenagers have accidentally ostracised themselves from the general public by joining the Unreality, an entity that allows them to bend reality. With no control over it and the constant weight of everything on their minds, they get into more trouble than it’s worth, and find they have no idea how to get themselves out.

summary: Hugo Adler has been cursed for most of his life to watch the world from a bird’s eye view, literally. Only able to be human for a few hours at a time and with all eternity to wander, he takes up documenting the lives of interesting people. Watching and transcribing everything live, he learns just how individual the world can be, and how many struggles a human can have.

Hi! My name’s Fire (she/her). I’ve been lurking on here for a while, but now that I’ve finished my exams I thought I should introduce myself:

i like reading/writing a lot of sci-fi and apocalyptic fiction, but won’t hesitate to explore other genres

writing is one of my favourite hobbies (…obviously), along with reading, gaming, and wasting my life away on youtube

i want to use this blog to meet other writers and improve my skills (so you’ll be seeing a lot of reblogged writing tips/advice on here)

Being blessed at birth is the greatest privilege an Aretian can receive. When Artemis discovers her blessing, most assume that her patron is her namesake, the goddess of the hunt. 

But how does she endure being blessed by the most treacherous god?

Bloodshed between Arete and Janus is inevitable. Artemis must prove herself more loyal than her patron, lest they name her a traitor.

After all, the punishment for traitors is death.

My surreal fantasy WIP comprised of a collection of different stories linked by a unifying setting.

Colour-Coded to the max. Each central story focuses on a character assigned a colour, differing in tone, POV, and focus. Main three are purple, blue, and red.

Literal becomes figurative, and figurative literal

Charms and incantations of old swirl in from afar, weaving our hands together with something much deeper than flesh – a curious sentiment oozing from the recesses of Damsel’s cloak as the feeling of moss and stone wove through my veins; cold and refreshing.

‘What absurdity’, The Arbiter would think to himself. After all, those carmine red eyes of his delve into the primaeval madness: in their muddy depths lies the shivering madness - Fear. From fear is the knowledge wrenched from uncertainty and bloodshot eyes. Dread is the light; tugging on world-weary watchers. 

Sort of portal fantasy, sort of not. The stories in this WIP span across many eras and places, yet often find themselves connecting and mingling. Incredibly queer.

MC of Red, Jack Pronouns: He/Him Bnuuy ass trans Victorian boy. Pasty and WILL combust in the sun. Autism creature. He gets a himbo bf and sick asf t-surgery scars as a treat &lt; 3 Character Playlist

MC of Blue, Hel Pronouns: Any/All seemingly innocent girl but remove the innocent and girl part. Kind of an eldritch horror after a character arc but like, that's the good ending. So old surnames weren't a thing in the era they're from. Character Playlist

MC of Purple, Dorothea Pronouns: She/They Gatekeep, Gaslight, Girlboss. Autistic adhd precocious mess who WILL make it your problem. Genuinely manipulative but has great hair so it's fine. Character Playlist

Greetings and salutations, everyone! I’ve kinda been lurking in the community for a little while and just finally decided to come out the shadows! Guess I should get to the introduction, huh?

about me

my name’s (allegedly) osana but it’s not like i was there when my birth certificate was being authenticated so who really knows?

i’m 18 and therefore legally an adult but please don’t expect me to be that mature that’s not really how i roll fam

i like to read and write particularly fantasy but i do branch off often enough

i’m a hufflepuff and that’s not necessarily relevant but i had to show my house some love (let’s go badgers!)

i (re-)made this blog mostly because the thing i struggle with most when writing is staying committed and i hoped that surrounding myself with other motivated creators would encourage me to keep writing

Hollow Origins series

Genre: YA/NA Fantasy

Trigger Warning: blood & violence, more to be added

This is my main wip. It’s currently in the early outlining stages and I plan for it to be a trilogy but plans are for people the universe likes. It follows Akira, a very curious girl who’s aversion to sweets, supernatural heritage, and inability to stay put leads her to rediscovering a world that, for her sake, was better left alone.

In short, it’s kind of like the unasked for love child of TLoTR, Charmed, and OUAT.

The Lotus Eaters’ Guide to Freedom

Genre: YA Fiction

Trigger Warning: vulgar language, reference/depiction of “drug” use and addiction, more to be added

Synopsis:  Time waits for no Soul and Life goes on whether one likes it or not. High school seniors: Mara, Asra, Damien, and Jae know this all too well. With the Future approaching too quick for comfort these four teens stumble upon the answer to all their prayers: the Lotus Flower.

Basically, these four teens, all with problems of their own, find an easy escape in a glowing flower that turns out to be more trouble than it’s worth in the end. 

Inspired by the tale of Odysseus and the Lotus Eaters.

It’s technically a stand alone, although I (might) plan to expand it into a series of loosely connected stories.
