I’m a wannabe fantasy writer who is just getting into writing and stories. I have posted a few short stories so far and as you can see that are not very good. I want to be in this community so I can improve my writing and really see how far I have come. 

A bit of personal info. I’m an African American high school girl in the United States and I like to watch thought videos on youtube and recently I have been playing a weird amount of pokemon. I read a fair amount but I have trouble reading ebooks. And fun fact I have social anxiety and have no friends.

Today my blog reached 50 followers! This is (very) exciting for me, and I wanted to thank you all for taking the time to read my poems and choosing to stick around for more. My wip HoD (It's the title's acronym) is a Grim-dark High Fantasy adventure novel with a pinch of battle royale to it. Here are 3 facts about it

1) One of the MC's is infected with parasites

2) A group of 5 strangers come together for selfish desires

3) Main, supporting and side characters aren't afraid to play dirty. It's every group for themselves in this world.

Hey everybody!

I've been hanging around on this blog for a while now. Seeing all your amazing projects combined with the enthusiasm of the lovely @anightravensecho and @dreamsofbooksandmonsters has convinced me to introduce myself a little more clearly ^^.

My name is Anne. I'm a student and enthusiastic reader and writer. I started this blog because I make aesthetics moodboards when I'm stressed and I enjoy talking about writing projects. I thought I should combine the two and make fanart for WIP's and OC's. I'll certainly continue this, but I want to throw in some more writing-related stuff, too!

I used to be hooked on fantasy, and though this genre still has a special place in my heart, I now read (and write) anything and everything. I play a lot with diversity and (art-) history in my work. My current WIP is called Elementary (as a working title). It's a historical fantasy, set in England around 1800. It’s about a band of traveling artists/magicians (The Elements), each of them having left their homes and joined the group for their own reasons. I follow a couple of them throughout the story as they slowely split up.

I'd love to hear all about your work! Please do come into my inbox for a ramble, a question, a talk, a rant or to request an aesthetic moodboard. And maybe like or reblog this, so I can check out your blog!

of course! honestly, it's a writer dilemma haha. sometimes i'll also be in a bad block, but sharing a line and having my writer friends comment on it just motivates me to write again. I hope it went the same for you!

NOOOOOO. but if there ever is (hopefully!), I'll be that person buying the first copy haha.

One day! Anything is possible. It is true that writing in English would help reach a more global audience, but writing in your own language is also so, so amazing. there's not enough of that and I really think it's unique and just so cool to do. I'm bilingual as well, but writing in my mother's language (Korean) is honestly such a challenge for me, but I really wish I could write in both ):

yesss, your prologue definitely made me ask a lot of questions, and piped my interest! DO IT! making a writeblr intro and tagging it was so, so helpful for me. I made a lot of friends through it and also found writers who fit my genre or just love writing! please don't be afraid, we'd love to have you here!

Hey y'all, @emilymustwrite is back from the dead this NaNo season, and he's super trans now. Name's Lex, I'm 24, and I write fantasy.

This NaNo, I'm writing about a trans boy named Darius who is the crown prince of his kingdom, though when he comes out he is removed from the line of succession and ends up joining a queer revolution. I'm not worrying overmuch about word count, just trying to get back in the swing of it.

I've missed y'all, especially @brynwrites, @authorisada, @james-stark-the-writer, @feathered-quill, and @aschenink (tagging so you know I'm back). Can't wait to write with everyone again 🧡

Greetings and salutations, everyone! I’ve kinda been lurking in the community for a little while and just finally decided to come out the shadows! Guess I should get to the introduction, huh?

about me

my name’s (allegedly) osana but it’s not like i was there when my birth certificate was being authenticated so who really knows?

i’m 18 and therefore legally an adult but please don’t expect me to be that mature that’s not really how i roll fam

i like to read and write particularly fantasy but i do branch off often enough

i’m a hufflepuff and that’s not necessarily relevant but i had to show my house some love (let’s go badgers!)

i (re-)made this blog mostly because the thing i struggle with most when writing is staying committed and i hoped that surrounding myself with other motivated creators would encourage me to keep writing

Hollow Origins series

Genre: YA/NA Fantasy

Trigger Warning: blood & violence, more to be added

This is my main wip. It’s currently in the early outlining stages and I plan for it to be a trilogy but plans are for people the universe likes. It follows Akira, a very curious girl who’s aversion to sweets, supernatural heritage, and inability to stay put leads her to rediscovering a world that, for her sake, was better left alone.

In short, it’s kind of like the unasked for love child of TLoTR, Charmed, and OUAT.

The Lotus Eaters’ Guide to Freedom

Genre: YA Fiction

Trigger Warning: vulgar language, reference/depiction of “drug” use and addiction, more to be added

Synopsis:  Time waits for no Soul and Life goes on whether one likes it or not. High school seniors: Mara, Asra, Damien, and Jae know this all too well. With the Future approaching too quick for comfort these four teens stumble upon the answer to all their prayers: the Lotus Flower.

Basically, these four teens, all with problems of their own, find an easy escape in a glowing flower that turns out to be more trouble than it’s worth in the end. 

Inspired by the tale of Odysseus and the Lotus Eaters.

It’s technically a stand alone, although I (might) plan to expand it into a series of loosely connected stories.
