BEAUTIFUL ART!!!! I Don't Have Nothing To Say, It's Majestic, It's So Amazing!.
BEAUTIFUL ART!!!! I don't have nothing to say, it's majestic, it's so amazing!.
But......he wasn't an incel...he was a victim of sexual assault TWICE!.
He didn't cheat Willingly, ehhhh... with Circe he was forced by Hermes (yes, HERMES said: even then, don't refuse her bed), after giving him the moly.
Also the argument, but he stayed in Aiaia for a year, he stayed there as a way for his crew to recover, she fed them and clothed them; if it wasn't for Odysseus, they would have stayed as pigs or worse: jamón and bacon.
And Calypso.....with Calypso he was a sex slave, he cried everytime, everyday, so daily it became that when Hermes ask Calypso where he (Odysseus)was, she said: ohhh, at the beach crying like everyday....
“Said so the powerfull Argophontes (Hermes), he rosed, and the venerable nymph (Calypso) after hearing Zeus’s orders went where the magnificent Odysseus was.
She found him in the shore, with never ending tears that never dried as his sweet life was being consumed by grief, longing for the Returning (Nostoi), as the nymph wasn’t kind to him. Although at night he slept with her in the concave cave, with whom (Calypso) she longed; the day was spent alone, crying and sitting at the shore, his heart ravaged in tears, screams and pains, contemplating the untameable sea with bitter cries.” V Chant (The Odyssey), Spanish translation
He wasn't an incel, he had a WIFE AND SON who he loved to the moon and back, Penelope was in his lisps everyday in the Illiad and Odyssey and he didn't called himself: Odysseus, son of Laertes, no; he was Odysseus, father of Telemachus.
He didn't love the two (Circe and Calypso) and to add salt to the injury the power inbalance was horrible (they were inmortals, two daughters of Titans, he a mere mortal whose life could have ended in a moment).
What I'm trying to say, it's that though Odysseus was not the best person ever (he was a compulsive liar and more), he wasn't an incel, he was a victim of s.a.
Before I end this, I don't want this post to come across as a hate comment, in the slightess, I really like Circe and her overall ordeal and her charms and all, she gave him instructions, food and shelter in the end; but she admits that he was there against his will, Calypso can die in a hole six feet under, but don't forget and write Odysseus as a womanizer, incel or other things further from the truth, he is not a Hamilton, he's nothing of that.
Sorry for the rant and the painting is beautiful and so so pretty!
i don’t know why odysseus was so scared of a bunch of women, what an incel (circes island)

Calypso's cave
Oh, nymph of high birth
Oh tell of the man of many ways
Tell me of your love in the sea and air
How his flame was reduced by your embrace
The tale that you seek, is one of me, a tale so forbidden that the Keres are afraid of speak, don't question my words oh you little Man. As the island you seek wasn't paradise as you mean. Odysseus
@perroulisses Niko finally did it!
trying to figure out their design again
@katerinaaqu Hi! do you remember?....I´m not a native either, right? hehe. The idea is that he´s talking with Penelope as she is deeply afraid of what the heck happened the night before and wants to know what he thought happened.
It´s a monologue / recounting of everything that happened through Odysseus mind, the erratic and the rapid succession of things is to copy what happens in an anxious person or a deeply traumatised person and how thoughts stack one upon the next as they relived there trauma.
The recounting starts in Ogygia, first ´cause Odysseus hasn´t told anything to Penelope yet, she is overly happy that Odysseus is home at last and he doesn´t want to spoil the day. So when they go to bed Odysseus enters vegetal mode and Penelope rushes to help him. (why he goes still is cause he was always under Calypso´s spell all those years in Ogygia and he lost control of his body, so every night to not lose more life, he fully gave his body. As such when he is not there, he externalises his cry for help for the first time:
-BUT GODDESS PLEASE, OH GRACIOUS NYMPH, PLEASE NO MORE, PENELOPE MY JOY, I CAN´T I JUST CAN´T!!!!! FORGIVE ME DEAR, FORGIVE MY JOY!!!!!!
When after the trauma has vanished, he says: you were afraid not of me but of him. Him is the charmed Odysseus, the one that every night gave his body but not mind to Calypso.
So now we have to Odysseus: normal and traumatised.
simply love the implications that Calypso was under his skin and even put some spell on him or something and boy poor guy needed some days to recover from that I imagine man!
So great dear and it was really interesting how I was also considering writing something and then I saw this fic! Very good my friend
She was so embedded in his skin, that after snapping back to reality for a moment, she appeared again in his thoughts. Also as a way to add more drama, Penelope instinctively followed Calypso´s ritual; a stroke in Odysseus pectoral hair making a curl, a finger drawn in his torso as a half moon and a kiss in the forehead. (Calypso knew the ritual as him told her, (no free will Odysseus) as she asked what was his pleasure, while Odysseus was out). ( Odysseus has not developed Dissociative identity disorder or DID, Him is not a person, Him is Odysseus body´s reaction to a traumatic habit that is only activated while with the ritual).
And don´t worry Odysseus is going to heal, (he is going to be scarred for life though) I still have wholesome plans for my little soggy boi. >:D.
Also I thing a posted in my discord; the plant language.
Calypso is referred with vines while Penelope is associated vaguely with flowering twigs, one is manipulation the other is not, a twig doesn´t snare it´s host.
Calypso´s vines are only used in her cave. Her cave has a hole in the middle above her bed, and every night she conjures up her vines:
these vines while growing petrified there stems, so as the sky becomes smaller and surrounded by flowers, the steams become the lines of the cave´s stones, closing his only view of liberty, but it closes right in front of him (also a metaphor for his imprisonment in the island, there´s no exit here)
The butterflies represents his hope and Penelope, but as I said, the flowers consume the hole, and the butterflies can´t be seen again for all the night.
Thanks so much!!! It really means to me a lot, that you liked it!!! 🌊🤍
The first night
Odysseus retelling of his first night in Ithaca, (part 1)
In the first night she asked with the warmest voice
- Let me love be your soul, let my voice be your voice, let us be together in bliss.
I tried to punch, to escape, but She…
took my fist and twirled below it, her eyes ignited, her face became a flame, and before knowing, vines. Warm and soft vines blossomed around me, i tried to fight but with a movement of wrist my legs... they became limp.
I fell on the warm scented bed while as the gracious nymph that she was, twirled her warm fingers to my chin as she kissed my head. In a moment my moist eyes, where dried, my hands embracing her, my lisps, ready, while I was drowning away in my own tears; then she said:
-Let your tears be swept away by my embrace, let your cries become laughs and strength, let your shouts become a kiss and your fists a hug. Let me be your home my dear and no one separates us no more.
My hands encircled her skin, her dewy warm embrace, her blazing embrace, while I was drowning away. A voice that wasn't mine, not from the my heart but the throat, came :
-I love you, love.
And then black it was and for 7 years the norm it became.
But last night, HORRIBLE NIGHT, I dreaded it as I saw our bed, our olive bed.
- I despise you stars, I despise you moon as the flowers that enveloped me before, cowards!, witnesses of my pain, your dim light never forgets, my cries and hopes for the rosy dawn again, why do you want me to stay in hell?, I thought.
But something was odd, the cold, the breeze among the olives twigs, the scent of rain…, the coarse linen, the translucent veil… but SHE WAS THERE
I only saw her face on you my joy , as you tended me on our bed, your rosy fingers in my chest, the chest…, how you stroke my skin in that way, how you played with my hair…and then:
-My love.
My body became still, my gaze disturbed, the room, the twigs, it was again stone, the warmth, the flush, the vines, the smile, the pain...
Her face
-You´re with me dear, there´s nothing to fear.
The touch, the kiss, the strokes, the forehead, the hands, the talk that wasn´t my own, it was all again, the same…
But, no. I felt water on my eyes, my beard, my mouth didn´t form a smile, no, it was a cry of help. from deep inside it rosed:
BUT GODDESS PLEASE, OH GRACIOUS NYMPH, PLEASE NO MORE, PENELOPE MY JOY, I CAN´T I JUST CAN´T!!!!! FORGIVE ME DEAR, FORGIVE MY JOY!!!!!!
And everything was cold again. SALT, I tasted salt, sweet salt, the cold again, no warmth, only a figure in distress. It was YOU; as you ran towards the candle I saw no stone, only flowers and twigs not vines; I saw your work, your shade.
How I didn't saw joy nor lust, I saw FEAR, I saw PAIN, I saw a Flame. Not the moon, not the vines not the stone of her lair, no, it was cold again.
How you rushed towards me, crying, cold, coarse, how your skin wasn't plump, how your voice broked, how your eyes were filled with tears, how you let them free, how you screamed:
Odysseus, please I´m here, you can count on me!
And there I was, with you I saw my hands, my arms, my legs. My voice, it was me not him.
I was still and the she appeared again in my thoughts, rosy as the dawn, volouptous hair as water in the rain.
-In the night? my will is only for the day, how can I speak, what´s the new spell you placed on me? WHY ARE YOU TORMENTING ME AGAIN? ISN´T THIS WHAT YOU WANTED? DON´T TORTURE ME ENOUGH WITH HOME PLEASE, LET THE DARKNESS EMBRACE MY BROKEN BONES, LET THE WARMTH TAKE OVER ME!.
So raw i shouted that the walls might have even collapsed, I saw how the stone gave way to twigs, how the rocks birth the starry night, how the lines of stone became leaves, how she transformed like morning mist.
Her voice cracked, her hair dulled, her eyes in silver they became, her smile changed into fear. It was real it was really YOU, your pain as you touched my hair, it was you and I under OUR olive bed.
I rose from the dead, to rush towards you joy, you were AFRAID not of me but of him, the husk of the man i became there.
How with your gentle hands you touched my cheeks, and face to face I see, for the first time: your cries.
I felt how your dim warmth gave way to tear, who you didn´t close you eyes as I faced away. How I was home.
The first night
(Part 2)
How I was home. Home, it was home, my streets, my ports, my palace ….
-Father what?!!!!!
-Telemachus..I…
-She did what?
Telemachus, my dear joy, my little prince, what did you heard?
Everything since the beginning.
A cold sweat has embraced me, my limbs I can't control them, Are they here? Are they? Oh no the pigs. A laugh….SHE´S HERE!!! How?Everything I did, every day left, every tail she changed, but why?-- oink—--
-CIRCE!
-Telemachus!!!!!!!!!!Run, Hide. Penelope upstairs Now I will stay here as dawn awaits the sun. I will not run.
She is approaching. The oinks are getting louder, the flowers…THE FLOWERS. Look how they move, how they snare, how they creep from below. the pain, the gold, the threads, the stick, the pigs, white. It's Circe
-Your graceful goddess, misstress of Aiaia I Odysseus father ot Telemachus Laertides, stay with me, welcome to my home, but by your oath you must not harm them or the taste of my bronze sword would be...
-ODYSSEUS, STOP!!!
-HE..R HER FACE IS CHANGING, STAY BACK I'm warning you.
AS i say so, HER heights diminished, her light arms became dark, It's a girl?
-Our lord, your grace, i'm only here to bring you my harvest, my tribute to you, why do I get to taste your divine threat? (the girl is in the brink of tears)
-You're a girl, where is SHE? OHH you're one of her nymphs- Aren't you? Tell Circe in my house her presence is not allow…. ( a slap from Penelope echoes around the room )
-My King who's Circe?? I'm (insert girl name here), daughter of (insert random name), Shepherd as the only kin of his, I came to bring you the fattest pigs of here as sacrifice to the gods of the isle, from my father and I.
As she was speaking I saw her eyes turning from fear to pity, as Penelope whispered something into her ear
Then she starts to look at me and with a goodbye she gets out.
-I told her that our rightful lord, our divine King, has become afraid of pigs as part of his crew was killed by Circe's boars. (Penelope)
My dear, thank you.... I lost myself…
-Lost myself?, I saw your deep eyes filling with blood, your tense wrists, your forced grin, i saw anger in your words.. My Joy I'm afraid of you...
-A...afraid, you are afraid of me? Did I become a threat, a….. monster to you?
-Not dear, i'm afraid of what you can do to our people, you're still King after all, i pity you from my depths below bottom, but you aren't my Odysseus, not anymore
I i..i. am...Oddysseus...
(Why do she hates me, 20 years away, the horse, the boy, Polyphemus, the crew....and this is my biggest fear)
-I…i…i a..am so..rry
Grief, confussion, thought, swords...what´s to happening to me????.
I feel a hand, a kiss...
-You're Odysseus, son of Laertes, father of my joy, dear Telemachus, you're Odysseus King of Ithaca, you're still my love.
-I..ahm…Thank you my queen.
Telemachus... TELEMACHUS!!!!!
-Yes, father, what happened?, wait better not asks, as my poisoned words were the ones that began your pain( a tear is shed)
-Son; come here, you NEVER, NEVER send me poisoned words as honey never spoils, my love to you it will stay as the inmutable stars of the night. Even if you burned all Ithaca, all the lands under Uranus. You will always be my son, my joy, my sun.
-Then… why did you evade my question? You´re Odysseus the man of many turns, the cunning master of the Danaoi, breaker of divine's Troy walls, slayer of Circe the witch…
-Slayer of Circe?, you think I killed her?
-Yes, that's what I said
-I didn't kill her
-Wait, yo…u didn't?
-No, and with her help we were nurished to life for a year, thanks to daughter of Helios we went to the house of the ones of many names and find the teller of future past.
-Friend told me otherwise.
-Friend? You said friend??..
Odysseus words are in black
Odysseus thoughts are normal
Telemachus lines are in chat
Penelope´s lines are in black and purple (I used cursive before, my apologies to all dyslexic readers, I'll try to minimise the use of cursive
Are you challenging me.....???? @whump-bunny
Not really, this is beautiful!!!, though I don´t know how it could be executed, I´m in the middle of writing a fic so if you want to check it out is called the First night is here on Tumblr, part 1 and 2.
If you think you like my style, send me an ask or what you think is better and we´ll start working if you want. But I will need a little bit more info to know what we would ended up doing.
Also exam season is in the horizon and I may not be able to answer as quickly as possible.
Hope you have a good day/night!!!!
Not what I usually post, but I've had this idea in mind for a crossover fanfic between Orpheus and Odysseus, in which they solve each other's problems and everyone gets a happy ending. Here's the idea:
After losing Eurydice, Orpheus is despondent and throws himself into the sea in an attempt to drown himself. Unfortunately, his singing voice is so beautiful that the sea itself refuses to kill him, and instead he floats aimlessly on a piece of driftwood, unable to join his lost love.
Meanwhile, Odysseus has pissed off Poseidon and is trying very hard not to get himself and his crew killed. One day, after leaving Circe's island with instructions to head to the underworld, they spot Orpheus floating in the waves. Odysseus pulls him out of the water, and they share their tales of woe.
When Orpheus hears that Odysseus plans to go to the underworld, he lights up at the chance to see his love once again. They go down there and Orpheus once again tries to convince Hades to let her go. But Hades will not budge, until Odysseus uses his powers of being Smart (tm) to trick him into letting her go. (I don't have the exact details worked out yet.)
Anyway, Orpheus gets Eurydice back, and is so happy that he sings a song of love. The song is so beautiful that it calms Poseidon, who then allows Odysseus and his crew to travel safely back to Ithaca.
Odysseus returns home, only a few years late instead of 20, and reunites with Penelope. Orpheus and Eurydice live a long happy life together before dying of old age in each other's arms, and everyone is happy. The end.
(If someone wants to write this, do it and tag me lol)
