Somewhere In Gothams Conspiracy Circles And Social Media, There Has To Be A Pretty Rampant, Unkillable
Somewhere in Gotham’s conspiracy circles and social media, there has to be a pretty rampant, unkillable theory that Alfred is Batman. Mysterious butler who has an army of young children to be Robins, all funded by Bruce Wayne.
Every time some news outlet seems to dismiss it or people forget, suddenly there's a clip of Alfred barely breaking a sweat as he disarms a mugger coming at Bruce Wayne, or expertly demonstrating a knife trick to a bored child during a company sponsored event.

Me, writing my characters into an impossibly complicated situation: now THIS has drama... threat... intrigue...energy...the genius of it all!
Me, realizing I'm the one who has to then get them out of said impossibly complicated situation: I am a Fool and a Jester
sometimes younger siblings are more comfortable to show their vulnerabilities around their big brother than their dad.
this is the case for Dick and his younger brothers.
when arguments escalate between Bruce and his sons, Dick always seems to know and he just happens to be near them. there are times when his younger brothers choose to stop reasoning to Bruce because he's so difficult to get through to and he doesn't know how to handle his emotions well. so Dick steps in and says, "B, that's enough. I got this." of course, Bruce trusts Dick to take care of his younger brothers. when Bruce finally decides to stop, his younger brothers visibly relax. they can finally be vulnerable around Dick, their older brother, who they idolize and admire and love deeply.
Jason doesn't want to admit it but he's really grateful for Dick's presence when he and Bruce have their misunderstandings. Dick doesn't ask on what happened so he just suggests for Jason to teach him how to bake, or ask Jason to narrate the plot of the latest novel he's reading. Jason eventually opens up about what happened and Dick wraps his arms around Jason when he cries.
Tim barely gets enough sleep. so Dick offers his arm for Tim to sleep on. Tim is babbling about his feelings and Dick just lets him talk because Tim is not only intelligent and bright, he can be very sensitive. eventually Tim sleeps, but for only a few hours. so Dick joins him in waking up and they both talk about the latest updates at Wayne Enterprises, or usually about Tim and Kon's adventures.
Dick just usually takes Damian to the backyard of the Manor to either visit the mini barn where Damian's beloved pets are, or to just gaze at the stars when they sit on the grass. Dick is still surprised when Damian opens up. the younger boy usually leans on Dick's shoulder with Alfred the Cat on his lap, when he's becoming sleepy. so Dick listens and replies when necessary. Dick ends up carrying Damian to his room and doesn't leave his side until he wakes up.

My writing process:
Writing 3,000 words at 4am and then not touching my MS for another month.
Thinking about the fact someone I trust told me if the only reason I'm holding myself back from doing something I'm passionate about is my fear of failure then its time to do it scared.
Thinking about the fact someone I love reminded me worring about if people will judge me for my creations is a terrible reason not to tell a story I can't stop thinking about.
Thinking about the fact that they are right. Thinking about the fact that doing something you love is worth it regardless of what other people and your own doubts think.
Stopping my rambley train of thought there because I have a book to write. And I want to write it too much to listen to that voice of doubt and fear.
One of my favorite dichotomies in writeblr is the circulation of two opposite but true ideas:
A) Don't stop writing.
B) It's ok to not be writing.
Both of these are true simultaneously.
A) If writing is your passion, if its something you love to do so so much then do what you can to prioritize it. This is permission to hold off on the laundry or the dishes and give yourself a night to order food delivery and write until your heart is content. It's also a reminder that you love to write so don't give up on it or yourself
B) When all of your spoons are dirty, bent, broken, or just plain gone, it is also ok not to write. The water that hardens the egg softens the potato so when you feel like a potato in a boiling pot, your writing can wait. It will always be there for you. It's not judging you or calling you names (but if it is, you can tell it to stuff it because you are its deity). Give yourself the grace to know that hard times are temporary and you *will* get back to writing. Forever doesn't exist.
I really hope that you see whichever type of post you need when you need it. Keep thriving, friends <3
