The Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy, yes it’s a Trilogy like KFP and Shrek, at least for me.

Such an underrated Trilogy, with my favorite being at worlds end because of the bittersweet ending. Best pirate movies ever, I think we can all agree on that. Captain Jack Sparrow will forever be iconic and Pirates of the Caribbean doesn’t work without him, he is the heart of this franchise. So Disney don’t make a Reboot of it!

The Actors are all phenomenal, the setting is fantastic. You can really feel the pirates of the Caribbean flair. Even if I am not a huge fan of the movie 4 and 5 I really like the scene with the sirens in stranger tides. Also in this movie I cared more about the relationship between the priest and the mermaid Syrena than the actual heist. But the love story between Elizabeth and Will will always be my favorite, but they have to ruin their bittersweet ending in 5.

Don’t let me even start on the soundtrack because Hans Zimmer really nailed this score. He is a Genius. The Score…I can’t even describe how good this score is. The Main Theme is so good and One day being the best piece of the entire series. One day is so powerful and so beautiful. Definitely my favorite.

What do you think about this?

I personally think that Sarah J. Maas if you like her or not, is a stronger author in terms of pacing, character development, interesting characters and the chemistry between her protagonists and their friends. Nesta for an example is her most complex character in the entire ACOTAR-Series. Everything Yarros couldn’t do for me.

Yarros strength lies more in epic battles, but she really needs to structure them better. But some scenes, especially in the first book are to some degree good structured, that you can at least imagine what’s going on.

One thing both books have in common is the black haired male protagonist, which I will say I like Rhysand more, he feels more like a person with a tragic past, who has fought for his city and people. He and Feyre have incredible chemistry since the first scene they met. Violet and Xaden have none of that in my opinion. Xaden feels more like a Wish-Form of Rhys and is more one dimensional. Yeah he has a tragic past and a city and revolution he could fought for, but he is, especially in the second book overfocused on Violet. Which was by the way where whiny and annoying and also couldn’t think of anything else other than Xaden. It’s a shame that Hiccup from httyd gets compared to her, he is complex, has an amazing development and has a motive for everything he does. The only thing were I really cared about Violet, was with her friends and family. But always gets sidelined very fast. God, I shipped her more with Dain than her actual love interest. 😂 I have to confess the first book of fourth wing is not that bad, it’s mid but I wish the story were more about Violet and her relationship with Tairn because he had lost his Rider because of her brothers death. There are good Ideas in Fourth Wing and Iron Flame, what baffles me about both books is that we didn’t expand on them, like the Idea of what your sign says about you or the political stuff and the threat of Melgren and his followers. But I have to give Fourth Wing and Iron Flame that: the background story with the government and military is very interesting, I hope it will see more of it in the upcoming books. I prefer this over the Drama with Xaden and Violet any day.

Haddock Family 💓

One of my favorite things about the Httyd-franchise is the element of Family. Be it in the show or Movies it was always done very well. The Relationship between Hiccup and his dad is definitely one of the hearts of this franchise. It was so heartwarming to see how their relationship involve in Riders/Defender/Rtte through the second movie. And it was also very touching to see how they’re Releationship was when Hiccup was still a child. How lovingly Stoick was when Hiccup was much younger, I also think this is why Hiccup is so emphatic. I think it was easier to protect Hiccup when he was much younger, as we see in the first flashback when he says that he finds Night Furies scary. Stoick always wanted the best for his son and it just got more complicate to protect him when he got older. But they’re was always love between these two and it always will, even if Stoick is no longer with him, he will always watch his son from Valhalla. He would be so proud of Hiccup, if he could witness of what an amazing Chief he became, that he has now a little family with the love of his life.

I think if Stoick was still alive in the third film, he would support Hiccups decisions as Astrid, Valka, Gobber and the other dragon riders do. They may all Not agree with Hiccup sometimes but they will always support him because he would do the same for them. They are all a Big Family.

Nostalgia Bait in Mermaid Form

Which show did you like more as a kid? Mako or H2o?

I liked both. H2o gives me always these beachy mermaid vibes with the iconic song no ordinary girl, Mako shows me instead more of the mystical vibe that comes with the mermaid stuff like the pod, the trident, the history between Merman and Mermaids, the water dragon, the different pods around the world and so on. It explores and opens up the world of H2o in some way. Not to forget Rikki’s Cameo in the third season.

Hello Writer Community out there!

I am eighteen years old and a passionate Writer, who loves to write fantasy novels and expand my world with my imagination. I have some kind of feeling, I am to be honest a little bit afraid that I am not good enough or that no one will ever like the stories I tell. I try every day my best to get better but I need more time to write and think about everything. I am afraid that I am running out of time, because time always runs so fast.

How do you deal with such issues? How do you feel about it?

❣️❣️❣️

I am going to take a deep breath and just remind you:

Writing is messy, even for the best authors. It's supposed to feel a little uncomfortable, exhilarating, freeing, natural, and terrifying.

It's supposed to inspire you and feel like a too-heavy backpack.

Sometimes, you're going to love being a writer and sometimes, you'll feel so disconnected, you'll wonder if you were ever a writer to begin with.

Give yourself room to make mistakes and hate your work and return to it with renewed confidence that yes, you will get 1% better next time.

It's what we're all going through. Let's speed up the growing process a little by accepting the entirety of it.
