The Thace heavy support frame "Bishop" began development when an on-mission squad encountered a prototype white witch.

Bishop was the first Thace frame to use the reverse engineered Ferroactive technology. By remotely controlling the liquid from distance the Bishop is able to create defences such as walls and traps as well as give units around it a reactive armour. This does come at a cost of Bishop having little to no offensive combat abilities.

Bishop are two person mech to operate at peak performance without the use of an on board comp/con. Clones breed to pilot Bishops are bonded from creation, allowing them to work effectively as a single unit. It is noted that though most clones try to distinguish themselves with defining mannerisms and personal affects Bishop pairs tend to appear identical in both of these aspects. If during intense combat one of the Bishop pilots is killed the remaining clone will become enraged and rush the mech who attacked it, utilising its ferrofluid to encase its target. Once it's reached its target it will self-destruct its core as an attempt to take them both out at once. Thus modifications have been made to ensure if this were to occur the damage caused by a self-destruction is immense.
