This is interesting. I'm cis and I've definitely imagined myself in multiple ways. Like I see myself as who I am. Sometimes I see myself in a more openly queer way (cause rn I'm in the closet to most people irl). Sometimes I see myself in a specific persona of "Bubo" (it's a nickname my bf calls me irl), which while close to myself, feels slightly different. And I've just viewed myself as a concept. What does it mean to be [insert my name here]?

When you picture yourself in your mind, do you imagine yourself precisely how you look in real life, or do you see something else (an alter ego, a person who looks differently, another being, etc.)? When you're visualizing from the first person's pov, whose hands are you seeing? If you have aphantasia, consider "seeing" as a metaphor for the way you think of the concept of yourself.

I keep seeing people say The Final Shape will be cancelled, but honestly I think it is probably far enough in development that it will come out. But the Episodes/Destiny after TFS...? I think that is more questionable. Yes, Destiny is Bungie's only money maker right now, but with the story conclusion happening with TFS, I think a lot of players will leave the game. Even if TFS is a great ending to the Light and Dark Saga, people will just naturally move on. From their description of the Episodes during TFS showcase in August, it didn't seem like Bungie had a clear idea of what Destiny is after TFS beyond wrapping up some story lines with Episodes. And who even knows about Marathon...it could end up just not coming out.

really really love how Destiny handles the topic of redemption and redemption arcs, because Destiny doesn't even bother with the question of "Have they earned it?" and instead asks "Do they want to change?"

For all the chances Calus has been given to turn back on the path he's on by us and even his own daughter who he abused, he never does. He's stuck in his ways and adamant that he's correct and dies for it, forgoing all the chances he's been given. Savathun was given a literal second chance with becoming a lightbearer, but chooses not to change a single thing.

Meanwhile, Eramis seems to be taking that chance (albeit very slowly lmao). She's at the other end with Calus during Beyond Light, but the deeper she finds herself in with the Witness, she starts to realize this isn’t what she wanted at all (personally I believe it started with seeing her dead eliksni friends being turned into scorn as a “gift” but it could easily be a multitude of things) and she takes the hand that Eido and Mithrax hold out to her. She’s done horrible things, of course, but it wouldn’t be a redemption if she hadn’t. Eramjs just needed to realize what she’d done and have the capacity to change.

How could Osiris not fall in love with Saint 14? In a world full of darkness and guns and battle, how could Osiris not fall for the man who holds the shield?

THIS IS SO FRICKIN TRUE OMG!!!!!!!! Osiris. Who experienced so much loss. Who was left alone to his studies. Who was outcast from the Tower and the Last City. And Saint-14 comes along, loves him. Defends him. Protects him. Supports him. Everything he needs, Saint gives. Without hesitation. He loves so freely for Osiris, and that is what Osiris needs. And that love shows in the form of Saint shielding Osiris from all that ails him.
