Season of the Witch First Week Spoilers!
Seeing Bubo almost crush Immaru to tell him to "shut up and I can easily kill you" was such a power play! I was so upset that my video capture on my controller wasn't working so I didn't get to have a clip of that whole cutscene with Bubo 😭😭
Bubo and Eris: *reveling in violence and tithing and hive magic*
Elsie Bray: WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE YOU DOING??? DID YOU NOT LISTEN WHEN I TOLD YOU ABOUT THE DARKNESS TIMELINES???? ARE THE OTHER TIMELINES A JOKE TO YOU???
Last week I read the lore where Zavala watches the Young Wolf tithing to Eris and thinking about Elsie's worries about Eris and the YW. I immediately thought of Elsie finding Bubo and getting into a fight with Bubo over this. Stasis shards forming around where Elsie grabbed Bubo. Bubo just letting Elsie have it because Bubo knows Elsie doesn't want to kill her, just get out her pent up frustrations about their current plans. And then Bungie's like, "nah, that happens to Ikora instead."
But yeah, I'm glad we got some Elsie lore this season. Eris and the Young Wolf are definitely walking a fine line between becoming corrupted and achieving our goal of stopping the Witness. We haven't experienced this the endless amount of times Elsie has, and you can really see her frustrations and concerns. She just wants things to work this time and not have to go through another timeline.
Rites of Passage page 2! Oh boy. Elsie is so clearly beyond traumatised in a way that really can't be helped in this situation. It's understandable for sure. I also love how Ikora stands by Eris here and defends her, even as she has doubts herself.
Season of the Witch Fireteam Meeting
Bubo (warlock): Hey guys, so this is a super secret mission we are currently on. Yes, it is one the vanguard knows about. Basically...in order to get Immaru to rezz Savathun, we must deal with Xivu Arath first. Eris has a plan. She has made herself the Hive God of Vengeance as a power play against Xivu. Essentially, we need to make Eris more powerful, and we have to do that by tithing to her.
Violet (hunter): Wait! We have to give our titties to Eris?
Cynthia (titan): She's not my type, but that sounds fun!
Violet: No, she is kinda hot!
*Tripore (titan) nodding in approval*
Violet: Someone doesn't like goth hunter girls...
Bubo: I said tithes! Not titties!
Violet: But there could be titties.
Tripore: There should be titty.
Edgewise (Tripore's ghost): This is an important mission to prevent the Final Shape. Can you all not be horny for five minutes??
Bubo and Shiro (the asexuals on the fireteam): Yes.
Tripore, Violet, and Cynthia: Nope.
Bubo: Anyways, we are tithing to Eris by killing things.
Violet: We are titty-ing to Eris, got it.
Bubo: Do you want a dawnblade to the face???
Violet: Maybe I do, new light. Maybe that turns me on as much as titties do.
*Guardian down*
Having a bad morning means drawing my warlock's current armor set and trying to figure out how to get the colors to work with my limited number of markers lol. I definitely need to make it lighter, but I absolutely love the color of the blue and the gold colored accents!
Also, it's disappointing the orange part of Sunbracers can't be changed. I personally have a headcannon that they totally can be changed. It's based on the warlock's solar capabilities. So new lights using them wouldn't be able to change them at all, but older warlocks or warlocks who have outstanding light capabilities could do an array of colors if they wanted (like Osiris with his white ones or Bubo making hers pink here). So yeah, it's kinda of a symbol of a warlock's capabilities. Also, I think Osiris keeps his on after he lost his light as a reminder of Sagira and the warmth of his light.
I forgot to add to my Sunbracer post that I also have a headcannon that Bubo got her Sunbracer from Ikora. Let's be real--Ikora probably has a ton of random exotic warlock armor that she hordes and does nothing with, especially all those solar/arc specific armor. Ick. Ikora is probably as bad of a hoarder as Osiris is. So I think she just gave Bubo a pair she had laying around. I have to figure out when she actually gave them to Bubo, but now they are Bubo's main exotic, though she has quite the selection that she uses frequently (Nezarec's Sin, Sunbracers, Phoenix Protocol, Lunafaction Boots, and Swarmers).

Bubo: First off Immaru, rude, Eido is an Eliksni, not a fallen. That's offensive. She's my bestie, so you better not say anything bad about Eido. Secondly, Glint needs to be here! Why are you here instead?

Inktober Day 23/24 2023: no prompt. I was going to do a drawing of my hunter, Violet, but instead I drew my warlock Bubo with a bow again. This time she is using Point of the Stag, because that was my first favorite bow in Destiny before Ticuu’s and I am glad I got a new god roll one last week in IB. Also drawing the armor I always use in IB because I’ve never drawn this set. Inks: Sailor Manyo Shirakashi, Diamine Autumn Oak, and Micron pens.

Happy Hall Between! Minerva is a cat and Bubo decided to go as Riven! (shhhh don't tell Aunor about her costume. Plus Ikora already knows about Bubo's costume and doesn't care Bubo is a wish dragon. Ikora knows the difference between actual wish dragon magic and guardians having fun).
I love how this piece turned out! It's dumb and fun and it gives such Festival of Shenanigans the Lost vibes!
Bubo: so since we are hatching a whim, can we keep it in our house?
Tripore: ......absolutely not Bubo. No baby Ahamkaras or other dragons in our house.
Bubo: but they're so cute! 🥺🥺🥺
Tripore: no. Their wish magic is dangerous and you already have some Ahamkara bones.
Bubo: but they're not cute! 😭😭😭

It's 2:30am leave me alone
I've been using the one dawning ship for years (I am a not big fan of the ship designs in D2 so I stick with the one. Plus, since ships are super hard to come by in lore, I think the YW sticks with one, but probably has a backup one), so when I saw it crashed, I was kinda upset that my favorite ship was gone.
