Jaebeom sighed, letting his pen fall on his open notebook, the whines of his friend irritating him. "Jackson, I'm seriously trying to study. Is there any reason as to why you would be in this room, doing nothing but looking at me for the past at least 20 minutes?" He asked and Jackson spun around in his chair once more.
"I'm waiting for you to finish, because I have a very serious question to ask you." Jackson said and Jaebeom's eyebrow shot up. "What could possibly be more serious than my exams?" He asked and Jackson smirked.
"I'm glad you asked, my dear friend. Now, close your notebook and give me your full attention." Jackson got up and spread his arms. "Are you serious?" Jaebeom asked, annoyed when Jackson swiftly stole the notebook from his hands. "Yes. Very. Now, question time!" Jackson exclaimed.
"What is it in exactly 2 weeks from today?" Jackson asked. "The day of my last exam? For the most awful class I had to take? The day I'll die from stress and will make me miserable for the rest of my summer after I completely fail it? Because a certain someone isn't letting me study for it?" Jaebeom sassily said and Jackson's face kept frowning more and more after each sentence that went through Jaebeom's gritted teeth.
However, he quickly wiped the frown off of his face, yelling a loud 'NO' annoying Jaebeom even more. "IT'S PROM NIGHT!" He said loudly, making Jaebeom flinch at the sound and cover his ears when he heard Jackson's screams of enthusiasm.
"Oh, right. I had forgotten about it." Jaebeom shrugged. "How could you forget THE PROM NIGHT?" Jackson widened his eyes at his friend. "Oh, I don't know, maybe because I actually study?" Jaebeom sassed and Jackson rolled his eyes. "Who will you go with?" Jackson asked, eagerly waiting for Jaebeom's response, but only got a shrug in return.
"What do you mean with this?" Jackson said and copied his friend's shrug. "I mean that I don't know. I wasn't asked and I haven't asked someone either. And I don't care much about it." Jaebeom said and Jackson shook his head in disapproval. "Dude seriously, stop worrying about the exams, you'll ace them like always. Start thinking about the prom." Jackson said making the same motion spongebob did while saying 'imagination' when he said the word ‘prom’.
"Jackson, I really don't have time-" "But this is important! Isn't there anyone that you have even the tiniest little crush on?" Jackson cut him off. Jaebeom shook his head 'no'. "I don't pay others much attention. I have my group of friends and I do my homework. I don't need someone to distract me." Jaebeom said and Jackson scoffed.
"Distract you from what? You'll have the whole summer to yourselves to make beautiful memories together!" Jackson said. "I'll think about it later, okay? Let me finish this, please." Jaebeom said and Jackson nodded, sensing the small change in his friend’s mood.
Jaebeom might seem like a cold person to others, but even cold people need to love and to be loved.
Days passed and to Jaebeom’s bad luck, Jackson never stopped asking him about the prom. To his even worse luck, on the only lunch break that he managed to avoid Jackson, a different person appeared to remind him about that damn prom, Kwangsoo.
However, Kwangsoo’s plan wasn’t to just ask him if he has found anyone to go with.
“Yes, I know that the prom is soon.” Jaebeom replied with an annoyed expression. He really didn’t like this Kwangsoo guy, but he was Mark’s next door neighbor and he wanted to be kind to him.
“Would you like to go with me?” Kwangsoo dared to ask and Jaebeom was shocked. It took him a few moments to process it and he stuttered out a lie, as it was hard for him to say no.
“I’m very sorry, but Bambam already hooked me up with a friend of his.” He said and Kwangsoo raised an eyebrow. “Really? Who?”
“I-I don’t know. He is going with Lisa and I told him I didn’t have someone to go with, so they thought about it and found one of their friends. They didn’t tell me who it is though, because they wanted to surprise me.” He stuttered and Kwangsoo nodded. “It’s okay. It’s good that I’ll see you there, right?” “Yeah, I’ll be there.” Jaebeom assured and left quickly, cursing internally.
While practically running away, he stumbled upon an upset looking Jinyoung. “You! You have to save me!” Jaebeom pointed at him and he looked at him confused.
“Jackson kept asking me about the prom and right when I managed to avoid him, Kwangsoo came up to ask me to go with him. So I lied and told him that Bambam and Lisa hooked me up with someone, but I don’t know who, because they wanted to surprise me. So now I have to find someone that will be my date and also tell them about the whole thing, because I told Kwangsoo that I’d go and I can’t just not go and avoid this.” Jaebeom rambled and breathed loudly after he finished.
However, his friend’s expression made it obvious that he didn’t want to participate in all this.
“First of all, I’m not even going to the damn prom. Second of all, this wouldn’t have happened if you just said no. And finally, just don’t go and say you were sick.” He said and Jaebeom sighed. Of course Jinyoung wouldn’t help at all.
Jinyoung walked right past him, leaving Jaebeom slightly confused as to why his friend was acting like this, but he brushed it off thinking he was probably stressed for the exams, just like he himself was.

“I just really don’t wanna go.” Jaebeom whined and Jackson sighed. “Come on, man. Just go and flirt with the singles. As for Kwangsoo, you know that he gets drunk with just one beer and you always go to parties a little later, so by the time you arrive he will already be wasted and won’t even realise that you came without a date.” Youngjae reasoned.
“Still, you guys know me. I don’t just flirt with the singles. That’s not me.” Jaebeom said and Youngjae tried hard not to facepalm. “Right, I forget that you’re waiting for your knight in shining armor to come find you.” Jackson sassed and Jaebeom clenched his jaw.
“Dude,” he started, but Jackson just stuck his tongue out at him.
“Mark would totally agree going with me, but he is Kwangsoo’s friend and he already has someone to go with. Of course he would. Literally everyone would wanna go with him. Jinyoung will not go and I won’t even try to convince him to consider going with me.” Jaebeom whined.
“Um, actually, Jinyoung is not coming because he is going with me…” Jackson trailed off and his two friends turned to look at him surprised. “But he said he wouldn’t go,” Jaebeom said and Jackson sighed.
“Yeah, about that… On that lunch break that I randomly disappeared I had asked a friend of mine to get some flowers for me to give to Jinyoung and ask him to be my date to the prom. Jinyoung was going to the toilet when he saw my friend give me the flowers and thought I’d go to the prom with them. But don’t worry, we are okay now.” Jackson said and Jaebeom connected the dots. “Oh so this is why he seemed irritated that day. I get it now. What about you, Youngjae?” He turned his attention to his other friend, who smiled and fell back on the bed.
“I’m going alone and I’ll leave with a date.” He said and Jaebeom shook his head chuckling.
“Yugyeom doesn’t have someone to go with” Jackson pointed out. “He wanted to go with Bambam, but he planned with Lisa.”
“Oh this a great chance, then.” Jaebeom said. I’ll go with Yugyeom.” He said and pulled out his phone to text Yugyeom. Jaebeom sighed and laid down on his bed, the possibility of Yugyeom leaving him alone during the prom to join Bambam and Lisa never crossing his mind.

He noticed Yugeyom, standing not very far from them, but it was obvious he wasn’t as involved in the joke. Maybe they had said something in Thai.
However, it should have, because not even 10 minutes into the prom, Yugyeom had already left him alone. He found himself in a corner with a drink in his hands, cursing internally. He looked around for any sign of Kwangsoo, but luckily he was nowhere to be seen.
Then he saw Bambam and Lisa, who were laughing at something, the couple next to them looking a little annoyed, but the two didn’t care at all. Oh, how he wished he was as carefree as they were. How he wished to enjoy his time at the prom as much as they did.
However he saw a figure, looking at him w the corner of their eye. According to Jaebeom’s predictions, as soon as Bambam and Lisa moved from their spot to another random spot in the room, they’d take the chance to talk to Yugyeom. Or at least, he hoped they would.
He scanned the room, his eyes falling to Jinyoung and Jackson, Jinyoung shyly holding Jackson’s hand, while Jackson greeted a few friends. Oh, how he wished to have feelings for someone and for those feelings to be reciprocated by that certain someone.
Next was Youngjae, who was obviously already tipsy and was trying to hit on two girls, not knowing they were lesbians. It was okay, though. Youngjae is a very attractive man, so anyone would be lucky to spend this prom night with him and possibly the rest of the night too.
“I’m druuunk” He said and Jaebeom chuckled. “I can see that,” He said and Mark sighed. “I’ll have to take him home, but his parents aren’t in town, so I’ll have to stay there and make sure he doesn’t puke on himself and die or something.” He said and Jaebeom frowned.
Then, Mark appeared coming out of the bathroom, holding a completely wasted Kwangsoo, with the help of two girls, trying to get him to walk to the door. Kwangsoo’s eyes met with his and Jaebom wished he had averted his eyes quicker.
“Jaeeeebeooom!” Kwangsoo yelled and he winced. He suddenly broke free from his friends’ hands and ran to Jaebeom. He fell right into his arms, as Jaebeom struggled to keep him from falling.
“Wheere is your-” hiccup “date, Jaebeoom?” Kwangsoo pointed a finger on Jaebeom’ chest. Jaebeom cursed internally. “I came here with Yugyeom.”
“Oh, by the way, let me introduce you to the girls here,”Lucky for him, Mark changed the subject. “This is my date, (M.y/n) and this was Kwangsoo’s date, our friend (y/n).” Mark said and emphasized the word ‘friend’.
Kwangsoo seemed ready to throw up, so Mark pulled one of his hands over his shoulder and (M.y/n) wrapped his other arm around her shoulders.
“Will you take him home now?’ Jaebeom asked and Mark tried to nod. “(Y/n) would you like to come with us, or stay with Jaebeom here? Yugyeom won’t come back anyways.” Mark said and nodded towards Yugyeom’s direction. Jaebeom turned, only to find his friend and that person from before talking. Seemed like it was his lucky day.
“I-It’s okay. I can just go home,” you said and Mark shook his head. “It’s late, you’re not going home all alone. Jaebeom will take you. Now if you excuse us, I don’t want to get puke all over me.” Mark said and started pulling Kwangsoo towards the exits, leaving the two of you awkwardly standing next to each other.
“You really don’t have to take me home and miss the prom. We can just tell Mark that you did.” You said and Jaebeom shook his head. ‘No, I’ll obviously not let you go home alone at night.” He said and you just nodded. You took a sip from your drink and secretly eyed Jaebeom.
“So, are you friends with Kwangsoo and Mark?” He awkwardly asked, hating how he suddenly seemed to have lost his social skills.
“You could say that,” you said and Jaebeom raised an eyebrow at you. “What’s that supposed to mean?” He chuckled and you mimicked his actions. “Are you friends with Kwangsoo and Mark?” You asked back. “You can’t answer a question with another question.” He said and you chuckled. “Oh, really?” You said and took another sip, feeling awkward under his gaze.
“Anyway, to answer your question, I kinda am. I’m friends with Mark, but I’m not too fond of Kwangsoo.” You truthfully said and Jaebeom looked at you with widened eyes. “You too?” He said and it was your turn to widen your eyes. “You too? Oh good, it would have been awkward if you were friends with him.” You said relieved.
“Is there anyone that likes Kwangsoo enough to consider him their friend?” He joked and you took another sip of your drink before replying. “A lot of people actually, but those people obviously haven’t seen him drunk or upset. I’ve seen both and let me tell you this; I didn’t like what I saw.” You said and Jaebeom nodded.
“Wow, who knew you’d come here with Kwangsoo and leave with someone else, who by the way also doesn’t like him.” He said and you laughed.
“That’s so true. You’re like my savior right now. If it wasn’t for you I would have had to help with getting him home, which would mean I’d have to take care of him and the other two would leave me alone to make out.” You said and he laughed.
“Oh wow, I’m glad I rescued you from third wheeling.” “Exactly, thank you so much for this” you said and patted his arm playfully, trying hard not to let it show in your expression that you barely touched his arm, but still felt how muscular it was.
The rest of the night was filled with joking and sadly, it had to be over when Jaebeom and you reached your house. Jaebeom felt confident enough to ask for your number and to go out sometime.
Jaebeom and you never realized it, but out of all the couples in the room that Bambam and Lisa tried to tease, it was only you two that didn’t have to suffer from their teasing.
Jackson was right. You’ll have the whole summer to yourselves to make beautiful memories together.

(M.y/n) stands for Mark's yn because I'll make a few side stories and Mark will have his own y/n.

A Criminal Minds inspired au. Members included: Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun and Jungwoo. Taeil is also mentioned but he isn’t part of the team. Reader x Mystery member. Try to guess who y/n is dating and see if you got it right! In this story, Doyoung is the leader. Also, in case you’ve watched Criminal Minds, JohnTen’s friendship is inspired by the friendship between Penelope Garcia and Derek Morgan.

Warnings: Murder, blood, robbery, mental breakdown, swear words, illegal activities. Genre: crime, mystery, angst but has fluff towards the end Word count: 3k (3000 words) ~~~~~~~ “Sorry to interrupt, but we have a new case. Everyone gather up.” Doyoung‘s voice made Jungwoo and you jump. Everyone soon appeared in the conference room and sat around the large table, while Ten was putting up the pictures of the victims.
“Three women were shot and found in their homes. Park Aera, aged 67, married to an old famous actor, Song Jieun, aged 64 married to a retired but very successful lawyer and finally Jung Yeona, aged 56 who was married to a surgeon who’s considered to be one of the best, if not the best in our country.” Doyoung started.
“So, for now the thing that connects the victims is the fact that all 3 women were married to very successful men and probably a lot of money.” Yuta spoke up and Doyoung nodded. “Yes, but now no, since the person killed the women and mugged them.”
“That must be the reason for his killings. Maybe he needed money, it could be a junkie or in general someone who doesn’t have a good paying job.” Jaehyun spoke up and Doyoung shrugged before continuing.
“Maybe, however there were no signs of forced entry. No broken windows and nothing on the doors.” Doyoung informed and showed us some quick pictures of the crime scene.
“So the person must have known them” Johnny said.
“But if they were considered higher class, why would they befriend a person of a way lower class and invite them in their house?” Yuta asked.
“It’s not impossible, but we don’t know how these three women could have met this person.” Doyoung reasoned and we all nodded, deep in thought.
“Also, keep in mind that those people kept large amounts of money in safes in their houses, so the person stole their money first, asking them to open their safes and then killed them.” He added and showed pictures of the wide open safes and the bodies of the women laying in the same room with blood all over them and the floor.
“Since the person simply shot those women, it’s obvious that he didn’t rely on anything other than his gun, so it must be someone of their age.” You thought out loud.
“He didn’t try to choke them or beat them up because he wasn’t in a good physical condition to do so.” Jungwoo added and you nodded, before turning to Doyoung.
“Exactly. We will continue this on the plane, wheels up in 20.” Doyoung announced and everyone got up to gather their things.

“Yuta and Jaehyun, go handle the press, the rest of you follow me to the crime scene” Doyoung instructed.
“As you can see, no signs of forced entry, no footprints and sadly there were no eye witnesses.” The local head policeman, Taeil informed you.
“The victims were found late at night, so it’s estimated that all of them were killed around 10pm on different days.” Doyoung said.
“Do we know where their husbands were?” You asked and Taeyong shook his head. “We will see them later today so we will ask them.”
--------
“After we finish investigating the crime scenes, we will inform you about the killer, but until then be safe everyone.” Yuta thanked them and left with Jaehyun, everyone coming back to the headquarters after investigating all the crime scenes.

“My wife was a sweet woman. She hadn’t been in a serious argument with anyone since high school, or maybe even before that.” Park Aera’s husband cried.
“So, you don’t think your wife had any enemies or people who were jealous of her?” You asked and the man shook his head.
“No, definitely not. She was very friendly and selfless.” He replied and sat back.
“Did she have many friends?” Taeyong asked and the man took a second, before answering.
“She had a few close friends, but she was also very social. She could start a conversation with a stranger easily.” He replied and Taeyong looked at you before asking again. “But wouldn’t ever invite a stranger to the house, right?”
“Of course not. Who even trusts people this easily?”

“Where were you, before you found your wife?” Yuta asked Jung Yeona’s husband, but the man looked away.
“Sir, we can’t be of help if you hide things from us. Right now all we want to do is find the person that did this to your wife.” Jungwoo explained and the man gulped.
“I...” the man hesitated and sighed before continuing. “I was with one of the nurses of the hospital I work at. I have to admit I was cheating on my wife, but I did love her.” The man said and Jungwoo nodded.
“Did your wife know that you were cheating?” Jungwoo asked. “She probably had suspicions. I was distant and she was too.” The man relpied
“Do you think your wife would ever cheat on you as payback?” Yuta asked and the man shrugged. “It could be an explanation as to why she was disinterested in our marriage too.” The man said and Yuta just nodded, before exiting the room with Jungwoo.
“If she cheated, then the guy she would be with could have done that.” Yuta said but Jungwoo shook his head.
“I don’t think she would invite him in their house though. She would probably have gone to his house instead.” Jungwoo reasoned.
“Hey, Song Jieun’s husband was barely interested in his wife’s death and mostly cared about the money he lost.” Jaehyun informed the rest of you. “Park Aera’s husband was the complete opposite.” You replied and Jungwoo chuckled. “We got the husband who was a mix of these two, then. He was cheating on her.”
“So far, there’s no connection between the three.” Johnny said.
“We have the basics of the killer’s profile. We will continue informing the police as we gain more details, but for now everyone gather up for the profile analysis.” Doyoung walked past you into a conference room.
“We’re looking for a white male, late 50s to 60s.” Doyoung started. “He must have had a job that isn’t very high paying, so he targets wealthy women around his age or older for their money.” Jungwoo added and everyone took notes.
“He knows all his victims and probably develops a relationship with them. He is charming, flirty and very social.” You continued.
“He seems trust worthy and flies under the radar. No one suspects this person would do something like this.” Jaehyun concluded. “We will learn more about the women’s close friendships soon. For now, increase patrol around the houses of wealthy women. We will hold a press conference and inform the public.” He said and everyone left the room.
“Jaehyun go handle the press” Doyoung instructed and Jaehyun complied.
“Call Ten and ask him whether he has found any article about the three women that could help us find out more about their social circle.” Doyoung turned to Johnny, who nodded, calling Ten.
“You have reached the sass master Ten. If there’s anything that you need, I’m sorry but I don’t care.” Ten joked as he picked up.
“Hey sass master, we need you to check any articles written about these women. We need to know about friends or anyone they are close enough to invite to their house.” Johnny said.
“I have already done that and trust me there are many. Park Aera was married to an actor, so there are many photos of her with other people and fans. However, there’s something interesting about Song Jieun,. She was accused of participating in an illegal poker club, but her husband is a lawyer so he covered her.” Ten said and everyone looked at each other.
“Ten, can you check if the women had big money withdrawals recently?” You said and Ten started typing.
“Um, I wouldn’t say big money withdrawals. But they were very frequent, eventually adding up to a lot of money.” He replied.
“Thanks Ten. Let’s go ask them if they knew anything about this illegal poker club.” Doyoung said.

“I- Am I gonna get arrested if I admit that I knew about this? I never liked poker, but my wife was a little addicted. I tried to stop her but it always led to big fights.” Jung Yeona’s husband said.
“Do you happen to know anyone of the people she met at that poker club?” Jungwoo asked and the man shook his head.
“No, they never revealed their names. They used code names.” The man answered. “What kind of code names?” Yuta asked. “Names from cards. For example King of hearts.” The man replied and Yuta sighed.
-------
“How are we gonna find them, if we don’t even know their names?” Jaehyun asked. “Don’t worry, we have Ten.” Johnny said and nodded towards Doyoung who was already calling him.
“Ten, make a list of all the people who had frequent money withdrawals.” He instructed and Ten sighed.
“It won’t be of help. I have found about 2000 people.”
“Narrow it down to only our city.” You suggested.
“It already is narrowed down to our city. Don’t forget this is the capital.” Ten replied.
“People in their 50s and over” Jungwoo said.
“212 people” Ten replied and waited for more orders.
“People of high paying jobs or married to people of high paying jobs.” Taeyong said and Ten raised his fist in triumph.
“Now we’re talking. 40 people.” Ten replied.
“Still too many.” Doyoung sighed and everyone was deep in thought.
“Keep the list and check the phones numbers. Did any of them contact any of the three women frequently?” Jungwoo said and Ten typed quickly.
“Narrowed down to 5, all of them are women. I’m sending you their names and addresses. Ten replied.
“Okay, thank you, baby, you were very helpful.” Johnny flirted and Ten giggled. “Call me that more often, will you?” He sighed and Johnny chuckled before hanging up, but no one questioned the two, as you were all used to the two flirting, but still keeping an amazing platonic relationship.

“We met up and had tournaments in each other’s houses.” One of the women admitted to Taeyong.
“Was any man a little too friendly to Jung Yeona?” Taeyong asked her.
“There is a man who is very friendly with every woman. But he is the one who actually started all this and just wants to have more people participate. He is naturally this social.” The woman admitted.
“Do you know anything about the man?” Taeyong asked and she nodded.
“We don’t know names, but I know that he wasn’t married and that he was the head of a famous restaurant.” The woman replied and Taeyong raised an eyebrow. “Was?”
“Yes, he has retired and started these poker tournaments to collect more money and send his daughter to a good university.” The woman replied and Taeyong nodded and got up. “Thank you.” He said and immediately let the others know.
“Ten, search for a head of a famous restaurant, not married, but has a daughter.” Doyoung instructed into the phone. “Found him. It’s Son Jihoon. I’m sending you his address right now.”

“I’m telling you, I did not kill those women.” Son Jihoon said, but Jaehyun shook his head. “The only reason I ever contacted these women was just to invite them to the tournaments. But nothing else. You can check that I never called them. Only texted them.” He reasoned.
“That doesn’t mean that there wasn’t a secret message hidden in these texts or that you never went to their houses.” Jaehyun said and the man sighed. “Where were you the nights the women were killed?” Jaehyun pressed.
“In other tournaments, since these women didn’t want to participate in any tournament for the past 2 months.”
“Jaehyun,” You appeared and called out, making him turn and look at you. “We found another body. The rest are heading to the crime scene already.” You informed and Son Jihoon sat back with a smile. “Do you now believe that it wasn’t me?”

“This is the body of 68 year old Kim Eunji, wife of an old Politician named Seo Sunghoon who died 7 years ago.” Policeman Taeil informed you.
“This woman wasn’t murdered the way the other three were.” Yuta pointed out.
“She was stabbed repeatedly. How can a person in the age we estimated do this?” Jungwoo spoke.
“And the killer was able to get away so quickly, even if police patrolled everywhere.” Taeyong spoke as a matter-of-factly.
“This means that our killer must be younger than what we expected him to be.” Doyoung said and took out his phone. “Jaehyun, ask Son Jihoon if there’s anyone young taking part in those tournaments”
“There is a man. But I don’t know his name or number. He was always invited by someone else.” Son Jihoon answered and Doyoung sighed.
“Um,” Jungwoo spoke up holding a book and a piece of paper in his hand. “I don’t think we will need Son Jihoon anymore.” He said and pointed at a rough drawing of a man, drawn by Kim Eunji.
“Quick! Send the picture to Ten.” Taeyong said and Jungwoo complied.
“How did you even find this between so many books?” Doyoung asked and Jungwoo pointed at the book. “It’s obvious that it’s in worse condition that the rest, so I guessed it was her favorite.” He shrugged as if he didn’t do anything special.
“The man you are looking for is Hwang Kwangsoo. He is 23 years old, he has been in the hospital many times because he was bullied by his classmates for being fat and nerdy. He has a membership in a gym for year now and changed his ID photo to a more recent one where it is obvious that he is much thinner now. And his number has contacted all the victims more than once.” Ten said and Johnny chuckled.
“You’re fucking brilliant, you know that?” “Oh, I know, darling, but it took you long enough to realise.” Ten said and hung up.
“I texted Jaehyun and (y/n) the address, they will be there soon.” Yuta said and they all quickly got in their cars.

“Hwang Kwangsoo! FBI!” Jaehyun yelled. “Open the door! This is FBI!” Yuta yelled next but still nothing.
Jaehyun signed to us that he planned to kick on the door. “I’m taking the back with Jungwoo and Taeyong” Johnny said and Doyoung moved closer to you. Jaehyun kicked the door and all 4 of you immediately walked in.
“Clear!” You yelled from the living room and Doyoung repeated from the kitchen. Johnny motioned up the stairs and walked with Jaehyun trailing right behind him. He opened the door and was faced with Hwang Kwangsoo with his gun on his own head.
“Why do they do this?” Kwangsoo cried. “Kwangsoo put the gun down.” Jaehyun ordered, but Kwangsoo didn’t move. “I tried so hard and they still ignore me. WHY DO THEY IGNORE ME? Why do they ignore me, agent? I am not fat anymore. I dress nicely. I now even have money. What the fuck does a woman want from me? What more do they want?”
“Kwangsoo, put the gun down and let’s talk about it. We will take you to someone who can help you.” Johnny said, but the man ignored him.
“Are you dating anyone?” The man asked no one in particular. “Why is it important?” Johnny asked and the man got up, making Jaehyun and Johnny raise their guns higher and follow his movement immediately. “Because,” the man started and pointed at them. “you are not as attractive as I am and I’m sure you have less money than me. So if you are dating someone, then you have to tell me why women don’t like me!”
“I’m not dating anyone. But it doesn’t matter what I-” Johnny started but got cut off.
“What about you?” he turned towards Jaehyun. “Are you dating someone?” He asked and Jaehyun let out a simple ‘no’. “YOU ARE LYING TO ME!” Kwangsoo pointed his gun at Jaehyun.
“Kwangsoo, put the gun down now!” You ordered and Johnny looked at you as if you walked in at the worst timing ever, probably because you did. Kwangsoo immediately moved towards you, trying to grab you.
“YOU BITCH! WHY DO YOU NOT WANT ME?” But before he could get any closer, a gunshot was heard, coming from Jaehyun’s gun, who shot Kwangsoo on his side.
Kwangsoo collapsed on the ground, bleeding, his hands instinctively covering his wound, his gun falling from his hand.
“We’re gonna need an ambulance quickly.” Johnny spoke into his walkie-talkie.

Everyone thanked policeman Taeil and gathered up their stuff to get on the jet and finally go home. Taeyong tried to sleep, Jungwoo was finishing up his report on the case and the rest of you simply discussed the case together.
“I couldn’t not shoot him after seeing he tried to grab (y/n)” Jaehyun said to Johnny and he chuckled. “Why? Were you worried that she wouldn’t be able to protect herself?” Yuta teased and Jaehyun shook his head ‘no’ quickly.
“Hey! I’m perfectly capable of protecting myself!’ You said, but nuzzled closer to Jaehyun’s side.
“Oh, I know. It’s because he was afraid that (y/n) would wanna date Kwangsoo, since he was more attractive and had more money than both of us.” Johnny joked and everyone laughed along.
Jaehyun turned to you, making you look up. “What?” you asked and locked eyes with him. “Will you leave me for Kwangsoo because he is more attractive and has more money than me?” He jokingly asked you and you chuckled.
“If I wanted someone more attractive and with more money, I’d simply date our leader, Doyoung.” You joked and everyone except Jaehyun laughed, Doyoung letting out a “Thanks for the appreciation.”
“Nah, I’m just teasing you, baby” You said and pecked his lips. “EW. I told you no pda at work!” Doyoung grimaced, but you waved him off, kissing Jaehyun again, who just smiled into the kiss.
Do you know who I am?

Warnings: a few curse words, and I’m pretty sure sneaking inside a school is illegal

Summary: You were outside with your friends, when a cocky guy that everyone knew except you, came up to you to introduce himself. You must have hurt his pride, being so disinterested in him.
A/N: This is a true story, I had a cocky guy come up to me exactly like that and those were exactly my answers.
~~~~~
You smiled at your reflection, finally ready to go out with your friends. You agreed to meet up outside their school, so you could sneak inside and just chill on the school’s playground area.
Your friends are two years younger than you, so while you are a university student, your friends are still in high school. It’s okay, though, because you love these little demons and wouldn’t trade them for the world.
You didn’t go to the same school as them, so sadly you couldn’t have met them earlier and you didn’t know their classmates, so there were many times that they talked about a person that you didn’t know.
You grabbed your stuff and started walking towards their school, since it wasn’t too far away from your house. You finally saw them outside the school and grinned at them, as they grinned back. You greeted each other and climbed up the gate’s metallic railings and got inside.
You all sat on one of the benches and talked about your days and then about random stuff. Suddenly you heard someone yell “good evening” from somewhere outside the school and you looked at your friends, confused.
One of them, Kwangsoo, recognized the voice and got up and walked towards the gate. That’s where a group of 5 guys that you didn’t know was, looking at your little group.
Kwangsoo was busy talking with one of the guys on the far left and the second from last guy from the right yelled a ‘good evening’ again. Jiyoon looked at you and Jiyoung and sighed.
“It’ll be really rude if I don’t go talk to them.” She said, got up and walked towards them. “Are we also gonna be really rude if we don’t talk to them?” you asked and Jiyoung shook her head. “No, we don’t have to talk to them.” She replied.
However, the guy didn’t stop and yelled a “good evening” again. You waved at him, trying to not seem rude, but not wanting to get up and go up to them.
“You don’t wanna come here and talk to us?” The guy asked and you shrugged. “Nah, there’s no need. We’re okay here.” You yelled back.
“Oh, do you really not wanna come see us?” he asked again and you sighed. This guy was really annoying and you were starting to get pissed off. After all, he was two years younger than you, he should be more respectful. And, god, you felt like a grandma after thinking of that.
You got up reluctantly and Jiyoung followed your actions. You slowly walked towards them and stood still in front of the gate, the group of the 5 guys standing outside the gate.
“Hi,” the same guy greeted and the others turned to watch your interaction, except Kwangsoo, who was busy talking with the same guy.
You were sitting really close to Jiyoung, so you didn’t know who he was talking to, but Jiyoung was quick to greet them. It was obvious from the sound of the girl’s voices that they didn’t like these guys a lot.
He suddenly stuck his hand through the gate’s railings and introduced himself. “I’m Yeonjun,” and he waited for your reply. You shook his hand, just to not leave him like that, but didn’t introduce yourself back.
“I’m not telling you my name” you said and he smirked. At the same time the guy in the middle stuck his hand out too. “I’m Taehyun” he said, expecting you to shake his hand, but you ignored it and said “Enough handshakes for today.” He pulled his hand back, embarrassed and the other guy smirked even more.
“Are you sure you don’t want to tell me your name?” Yeonjun asked and Taehyun nudged him and whispered, as if you couldn’t hear him. “It’s (Y/n)”
At the sound of your name your eyes widened. “How do you know that?” You asked, but received no reply.
“(Y/n), huh?” Yeonjun said and you sighed, defeated. “Yes.” You only said. Taehyun nudged Yeonjun again.
“You shouldn’t have done that, man. Now she knows that we know her name and she will ignore us more.” He said and you raised an eyebrow, clearly confused because what he said literally didn’t make any sense. Yeonjun dismissed his friend’s words and repeated your name a few more times and you raised your eyebrow at him.
“Are you gonna say it more times? I’m sure that no matter how dumb you are, it won’t take that many times for you to learn it.” You sassily said. You must have pissed him off so bad, but he managed to not let it show much. “Do you know who I am?” he calmly asked you.
“I don’t care”. You simply replied.
“I’m quite famous around here.” He tried again and when he saw no reaction coming from you he spoke up again. “Have you ever seen my car?” He asked and you shook your head ‘no’. “I have quite the name around here because of it. I got inside the school with it.” He said as if it was a great accomplishment. Your next words however must have really pissed him off because it was now obvious to everyone.
“I don’t give a shit about you or your car. I’m not from around here, I’m not gonna see you ever again, so I don’t know why it would matter if I knew anything about you.”
You were sure your friends were shocked at how ready you were to snap at the guy, especially since literally five minutes you didn’t know him. You must have hurt his ego because after this he dropped your conversation and said something to Kwangsoo.
The girls looked at you with raised eyebrows and turned back to Yeonjun, after hearing him bid Kwangsoo goodbye.
Your friends walked away and so did the 5 boys, Yeonjun staying behind to look at you one last time. “Bye… (y/n)” he said, no trace of any feeling coming from his voice or tone.
You must have hurt his pride, as he didn’t seem to be used to getting ignored and humbled like that. You have to admit you were quite harsh to him, but you just couldn’t stand the cockiness that was oozing out of him from the start.
Your phone buzzed from a notification and your eyes widened, seeing an account with Yeonjun’s name now following you.
Monsta X as project partners
Shownu, as we remember from No Mercy, in his collab with Kihyun, couldn’t work well with someone he didn’t know well. So, he ended up sabotaging Kihyun by making the dance difficult for him and Kihyun chose a difficult song for him and sabotaged him. Eventually both ended up sabotaging themselves for no reason. However, for a school project, since it isn’t a competition and both people benefit from it equally, I feel like both of them would make their project this way that each person’s best abilities are highlighted and they would actually be great partners for a project.
Wonho is the type of person that does a decent amount of work for the project but he is very likely to accidentally mess up a little, but not that bad. He would be very sweet but he wouldn’t be able to focus much on the project and would prefer to tell you random stuff and laugh with something random instead of working. He is a bit lazy but he would feel bad if he felt like he wasn’t helping you enough.
Minhyuk just wants this to be over with. He would sit down immediately, demand they finish it in one day and maybe just do some details the next day. The sooner the better. Comes off as workaholic but he actually isn’t. He is just too bored to have to worry about this for more than two days. Probably would try to convince you to work on the project on a Saturday morning till late at night. Or would just split the parts and tell you to have your part ready by Sunday night, while he’d get his part done the same day and be over with it.
Hyungwon knows how to cooperate. If you are willing to split up the work equally, then he will do a great work with you. He would hate if he had to work with someone who doesn’t care about the project and would probably beg the teacher to change his partner or would try to tell them that he had to do the project alone.
If Jooheon and you are friends then he can do a very good project with you and wouldn’t mind if you messed up your words during presentation. He’d also offer to do the whole presentation alone if you were too shy. If the teacher said that the both of you had to present, then he would help you and urge you to continue if you messed up. If you two weren’t close, then…you would be by the end of the project. Jooheon focuses on the process and not the result. If you try hard, no matter what the result is he will still congratulate you.
Changkyun isn't so cooperative. He focuses too much on the result. He is maybe the opposite of Jooheon here. If you try too hard and still not get the grade he thinks he deserves then he will be a pain in the ass to you for the rest of the school year. If he doesn’t care about the class, then he won’t be of any help and you will have to do all the work alone or you’d fail. You’d probably argue a lot if you two weren’t close. If you were friends he would be a little more understanding.
Sicheng’s body moved in sync with mine, hitting every beat of the sensual song coming from the speakers. As we finished our practice, I kneeled down from tiredness, as I felt his presence behind me.
I turned towards him, glancing at his feet and dragging my gaze upwards, finally meeting his eyes. He held a serious expression on his face, no trace of any emotion in his eyes, however, when he held my chin between his fingers, even if his expression didn't falter, I could feel what he felt for me.
He was acting as if I don't mean anything to him, as if he doesn't care that much about me, as if he doesn't want me. Yet, I know he does. I know he cares, I know I mean a lot to him and I know he wants me.
If that wasn't true, then he wouldn't have rushed to my side to inspect my leg for any bruises, in that one practice in the past. He wouldn't have offered to drive me home in case my leg hurt much.
He wouldn’t have ever gotten out of his way for me. But he has done it many times, but it was so subtle, that no one thought anything of it. But anyone that pays close attention to him would know that in fact he isn’t like this with anyone else.
However, Sicheng still kept up the act, his hand dropping from my face at the sound of people approaching the studio, as he moved away from me, leaving me kneeling on the floor watching him move to the other side of the room.
And just like he did, I hid every trace of emotion from my face, even if I was sure that 2 seconds before that, I looked at him as if he was my whole universe.
What the fuck isn't Lucas in any of the 7 new songs?????
Is there a reason? Did I miss something?
Or do I have to punch someone?
Chenle, Jisung and Jungwoo are in 3/7 new songs (and I'm certainly not complaining about it)
But Lucas is in NONE.
