Capsule I request a angst/comfort RedSon x reader? It’s mostly a thing where the reader sort of helps RedSon show his feelings to his parents.

The reader is RedSon’s happy go lucky girlfriend who recently told him that she wanted him to meet her parents! RedSon being the overachieving (and praise seeking) man he is, agreed, only to be confused when she leads him to a graveyard. There the reader introduced two gravestones as her parents, looking at RedSon expecting him to talk to them. (Ex: “Hello Mom and Dad I want you to meet my new partner! Say hi RedSon!”)

the reader’s parents died not to long ago and as a coping mechanism/comfort she would visit them and talk to their grave stones as if they could hear her. RedSon as the reader is talking to the gravestones starts to wonder what she is feeling, as in how he would feel if his parents would have died. RedSon after the meeting goes to his parents and hugs them and tells them that he does in fact love them very much.

“Are we there yet?”

Redson was, for once, not behind the wheel of his car. He agreed to meet his girlfriend’s parents. But apparently their location was a surprise of sorts.

“Not yet, just a little more to go!” She reassured him. He had to admit, though, that the route they were taking was aesthetically very nice. Lots of greenery, not a whole lot of traffic. Y/n parked the vehicle and hopped out, and Redson got out too. He assumed the building across the street, a small tea shop, was the place they were meeting at. But she took his hand and took the lead.

“This way!”

They entered the cemetery gates. She didn’t hesitate once as she took a mossy brick path towards one side of the space before coming to a halt in front of two humble tombstones bearing her last name.

Oh.

“Mom, dad, I told you he’d be excited to meet you! This is Redson!” She spoke, still holding his hand. Redson was less nervous, now, and more…aware? Conscious of that matter of mortality? He wasn’t quite sure himself. But he still bowed his head in respect.

“Hello, Mr. and Mrs. l/n. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m a fan of your work.” He said.

The visit, although quiet, was much more pleasant than the awkward dinner that they sat through when y/n met his parents. He went along with every part of the conversation that he could as y/n told the story of how they met, how cool he was, how he had helped to save the world. And he listened to every word she said about her parents, how kind they were, how much they cared for her.

When they bid the stones adieu, y/n was less cheery than before. Her shoulders drooped and her eyes were just slightly glazed over. He stayed close to her, hooking his elbow with hers.

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, Red.” She mumbled. Their shoes made rhythmic tapping on the stone ground.

“It’s no problem, y/n. I’m glad I got to meet them. Even if it threw me off at the beginning,” he nudged her, trying to get her to smile, even a little bit. “They seem like lovely people.”

She finally met Redson’s eyes with a smile that held quiet sadness behind it. They stopped walking as tears started to fall. He wiped away every one. He didn’t push her to continue walking, or even to talk about what happened. At this point all that he cared about was letting her get it all out. She buried her face in his chest and he wrapped his arms tightly around her.

“Alright. I’m ready to go.” She sniffled, pulling away from him. He still had an arm around her shoulders, but they made their way back to the car and went home. He dropped her off at her house before going back to his own.

The drive to get to his place was silent. The radio was turned off on purpose—he wanted to think. No one was there to greet him when he got home, and looking at the time, he realized he’d missed dinner with his parents. Normally, he’d be fine with this, opting to sit by himself with whatever food there was left, but this was different. The energy was different. He walked around his home in search of life, even stopping a few of the bull clones to see if they had seen his parents. Finally someone gave him an actual answer—they were in the lounge, probably watching that cooking show. From there, Redson made a beeline to the room. Instead of bursting in like he usually did, he gently pushed open the door, and just sort of stood there, waiting to be noticed. His mother looked at him out of the corner of her eye.

“Ah, you’re back. How did it go?” She asked. She was the one who, that very morning, helped him get ready and gave him advice. Don’t assert yourself heavily. Wait for them to ask about your history before you tell them, otherwise it’ll be rude. In a way, he didn’t go against that.

“I…” he swallowed, not even sure what he wanted to really say. His father paused the show, turning to him.

“You didn’t embarrass yourself, did you?” He half-joked.

“No,” his hands shook despite being buried in his pockets. He didn’t really want to, but he could feel steam coming off his face as he started to cry. His mother got up from her seat in an instant, approaching him to try and figure out what was wrong.

“What happened, dear? You’re not even yelling, that can’t be a good sign.” She cupped his face.

“I just…” he shook even more as he fought to hold himself still. “I love you guys. I don’t always appreciate what you do or even show that I care, but I really do.”

His mother was taken aback, looking at his father worriedly. The Demon Bull King knelt down to his wife and child, still confused, but now aware that this wasn’t a time to try and shame his son. He was getting better at recognizing those moments.

“Did they insult you? Do we need to go attack them?”

“They’re…not with us. It just made me think, and I don’t—“ Redson started breaking down, allowing his shoulders to move as he looked at the ground and let his tears fall. His mother pulled him into her arms, combing her hands through his fiery hair. His father sat on the ground, still much taller than both of them, but now in a position where he could easily embrace them. “I don’t want to lose you.”

“Don’t worry and overthink it, Redson. We’re not going anywhere anytime soon, alright?” His mother shushed him.

“At least, not without a good fight.” His father contributed.

They helped Redson to clean himself up, before going back into the lounge and sitting down all together to enjoy the show.

Redson - honestly prioritizes personality over anything else. He’s a demon, they literally come in every shape and size! He thinks you’re perfect, and you’ll have to try and hold him back if someone tries to make fun of you. ALSO, would definitely get fancy clothes in your favorite styles and colors TAILORED so they fit you perfectly!! Bc it’s what you deserve!!

Mei - uses you as a pillow a lot. You’re so nice and warm and soft, how could she not?? If you’re ever having a day where you’re not feeling super confident, she will HYPE YOU UP. Your biggest cheerleader 1000%! Since she’s canonically a streamer I could totally see her gushing about how gorgeous you are to her chat, and then when they see you for the first time, they lose their minds because she was so right

MK - he doesn’t care how your body looks, he thinks you’re the most good-looking being to grace this earth! Because of his powers he can definitely lift you up at any given moment, so be prepared for that! Probably really loves cuddling up with you when you sleep over with him. Also draws you a lot cause he thinks you’re that good-looking!

SWK - he’s chill with whatever to be honest, if you had three heads he’d probably kiss each one so some curves don’t make a difference to him! He probably brags about you to the other monkeys or even to MK. “Look at them! Heaven better look out, cause one of their angels is missing!” Hypes you up a lot, but again, he’ll chill out if you want him to. Also, bc he’s crazy strong, he will also lift you up from time to time, mostly so he can bridal carry you. Whether it’s fun or an inconvenience is really a matter of opinion!

Macaque - he doesn’t care what you look like, he’s just happy to have you in his life! He’s flirty by default though so prepare to be flustered…he knows exactly how to make you blush, especially when it comes to complimenting your appearance. He won’t necessarily show you off, but by the gods you can see how proud he is to be with you and how you both look amazing together. His shadow clones love ganging up on you and flirting with you to the point where he’ll have to step in lmao.

He’s a little stiff. It might take him a while to warm up to PDA or even affection in general, but honestly once he’s used to it he doesn’t mind anything. His favorite thing is definitely hand kisses though.

MK - ooo ok so I think maybe upon meeting you he’d be worried he’d get sucked into the Calabash again, but when you reassure him those were just your brothers and you’re not here to bug him, then he’s chill. The thing is you’re still gonna prank him, because you can and it’s funny, but the only difference is that you refuse to let your brothers mess this up for you…okay fine they can help you prank MK once in a while. But as your friendship develops with him they back off to let you have your fun. You keep MK on his toes, and honestly, it’s really fun to him!

Redson - at first they’re like “oh ok a new demon friend?” And then you have to warn them like “yeah we’re a package deal…Don’t worry though they have those leash backpacks” and there are Yin and Jin. Leash kids. Anyways, Red would probably want you to join them in causing some chaos for MK and Co.. Likes your energy, and how clever you can be. But when it’s boiled down, Redson is the voice of reason out of you two. Yin and Jin are just happy to meet another cool demon!

SWK - Ah shoot. Here he goes again. Not gonna lie you two would probably meet because Yin and Jin did something to mess with MK and then Wukong showed up too to beat them up. You’d step in and be like “oh gosh, sorry for them, they’re idiots, I’ll deal with them” and from there Wukong is like “nah don’t worry I got a problem child too” and gestures(caringly) to MK. He hangs out with you from time to time specifically to see what kind of trouble you two can get into. Other than that he just likes your vibes :)

Macaque - you two probably met when he’s lurking around the shadows and you’re also lurking around but just so you can find your brothers. You two chat, and then go on your way. Later on he shows up again and you two just kinda bond from there! He tells you stories, shows you the artifacts he’s gotten, and you make him laugh and have witty remarks that keep him going. Finding someone clever and demonic like him is ideal!

Redson - condescending at first. But they slowly adjust and are actually pretty good at helping you! Has a spare fidget in one of their pockets in case you ever need one. They’re the “translator” for other people whenever you’re trying to talk as fast as you’re thinking and mix some stuff up—you don’t know how they do it, but they understand you perfectly. If you need something hands-on to do or are just bored in general, they’ll have you lend a hand in their projects, or at the very least let you sit with them and talk about your latest hyperfixations while they work. The only time they’re going to really question your logic (if there is any) is if they pop into the kitchen for a midnight snack and find you just fully zoned out, no thoughts head empty. Don’t worry they’ll snap you out of it lol

MK - OH SAME BRO. You two operate on a routine that you collaborated on because otherwise it would literally just be chaos. He has a whole bin of fidget toys that he lets you borrow from at any time! You two sit together and probably get mesmerized by those slime videos or even just those sensory videos. The apartment is probably covered in sticky note reminders. His favorite thing is letting you infodump to him about what you’re interested in, and then he gets to rant to you as well. He mixes up words just as much as you do, and yet you both always understand what the other is saying.

Mei - is the reasonable one out of the two of you. She helps you remember what you need to do and stuff, and honestly she benefits from making you a routine since she’ll probably end up making one for herself too. Definitely buys you fidget toys from time to time and ends up finding ones that she likes too! She keeps track of your interests so she can talk about them with you! Also probably has a backpack leash for you(she already has one for MK, so honestly it’s only natural you get one too). Very sweet, just wants you to be happy in any capacity!

Macaque - he has a very, very loose understanding of what ADHD is and how people cope with it. He balances out your hyperactivity the best he can, and honestly how could you refuse when he talks so smoothly to you about maybe chilling out for a minute? He’s with you for the good days and the difficult days, especially when you’re super unmotivated to do anything. Loves all the cool creative ideas you come up with; he has you help him brainstorm for his plays. He definitely doesn’t mind staying up late with you when you’re hyper focused, but he also knows there’s a line he needs to draw for the two of you so you don’t wake up the next day feeling exhausted. He himself burns out a lot I think so he’d be very good at recognizing when you’re burning out too(along with helping you manage things in a way that you can prevent it) 

Wukong - he gets it, to a degree! Having known MK for as long as he has, he knows the basics, however he is more than willing to sit down with you and get an understanding of what your experience is like! Runs with most of your ideas and impulses, unless of course you’re thinking too far ahead or even too quickly. Yes, taking a trip on his cloud to visit a zoo a few cities over sounds nice in theory, but hang on, let’s actually plan a proper trip. He has nothing to really do all day other than train with MK and take care of the monkey village, so he’s never gonna say no to you coming over and hanging out with him, doing your thing, etc. He probably has some trouble understanding you if you’re talking really fast, but he doesn’t get frustrated or upset. He just kindly asks you to repeat what you said but slower. He’s doing his best for you :]
