Grian might sometimes shout against Scar’s swindles and Scar may occasionally wander off distracted at whatever passing thing interests him, but at the end of the day they’re a chaotic duo that suits their crazy schemes and plans of monopolizing the sand. Grian isn’t a captive; his obligation is put upon him by no one but himself. Scar isn’t a captor; he gives Grian multiple subtle ways out of their partnership, should he want to leave (despite Scar’s own feelings, but he is willing to set them aside). Grian stays of his own accord, for the loyalty they built together, and they die together in the desert because they would have it no other way. (If only it didn’t have to go this way.)

it’s so,,,, it’s like when people call them toxic, or woobify grian, or make scar dumb,,, like? you did Not understand the assignment if that’s what you got out of third life, or any of the life seasons, really.

they work well together, and sometimes there’s no communication needed for their well oiled machine to twist and turn the way it needs to. it just — happens. and people who mischaracterize them miss that. there’s so many little nuances to their characters and their relationship and it’s all so complex

yk, sometimes i wonder if i rly am AroAce... I am rly fond of particular people and would not oppose romantic or sexual intamacy if they asked (Which they wouldnt.) and i go "was it a maturity thing? now that i am older, where my parents right?"
