All About Scripting Your Intent

✧༺⛤༻∞⛤∞༺⛤༻✧Because Only Focusing Isn't Enough

As a witch with ADHD and other mental health issues, I can't simply focus my intent. I am simply unable to focus for prolonged periods of time, and I know there are other witches who need help in this realm as well.

Sometimes the inability to focus in our practice can cause unintentional manifestations. Visualization is cool, but I need something physical. This is where scripting comes in.

Why would I want to script my intent?

Scripting I feel should honestly be done to any new working that you are unfamiliar with. This forces you to go into immense detail in regards to:

what your workings do

what they can't do

what they effect

how they get energy

how things/events effect your workings

Going into extreme detail about these matters can leave less room for error. Leaving less room for error will allow you to make stronger workings, and I believe it focuses intent even further than visualization.

Do I have to write everything out by hand?

No. Write/Type it on whatever you want. It is YOUR craft.

How Do I Start?

I begin by thinking about what working I am going to do, and what purpose it will fulfill. Do I need protection or love? Do I need to banish something? Am I looking for positive energy? Do I need multiple, or layers, of my working?

What object/thing/symbol am I using? This is simply because the energy needs to be able to identify where it is going.

Thinking about time. How long will it take to kick in? Is there a way to make it go faster?

Next I think about how long I want my working to last. Will it last an hour, a week, a month, indefinitely, or forever? This is extremely important, especially if your working needs to be charged

Now I describe exactly what I want it to do and what it looks like. If I were to be able to see my working, what would it look like? Is it human, a box, another entity, or a sock on the floor? How will it serve its purpose? Etc.

I will continue to write more and more detail about my working until I feel it is complete. This usually takes about a page or two because I adore writing, but you do not need to be extensive. I go into immense detail when doing these.
