He was silent. But he talked to me. And out of every sentence that guy ever spoke to me my favorite line might have to be: 'I don’t talk much, but it was easy for me to open up to you.'

“His beer-battered mouth

made its way around

the mounds and valleys

of my body. He traced

forgotten paths that were

hidden away from the world

with calloused hands

that acted as tour guides.

Drunkenly stumbling

and scouring this earth

to finally claim it

for himself.”

he told me, ‘I want to rid

the evil that lives within

your sweet soul.’

   I believed him. I believed

his cooing undertones. Assumed

he would slaughter my demons,

even sedate my speeding mind.

   But I realize, he didn’t

desire anything else

except to be the mighty hero

and conquer the nonexistent.”

Hey Lovelies!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a second to thank everyone who is still around! I know I don’t write/update much anymore because #adultlifeishard! Haha I’m still on almost daily though (FYI if anyone ever wants to talk). All of you mutuals who like or reblog a poem when I do post them mean so much, so thank you for your continuous love and support. It puts a huge smile on my face! It definitely lightens my mood! I might start taking requests/prompts to help me get into the rhythm of writing consistently, so stay tuned if you’re interested!
