my favorite self-indulgent headcanon is that jason looks a lot like bruce. from height similarities to the way that he presents himself in situations, he’s very bruce and there’s nothing he can do about that.

and because i really like to torture myself with angst, jason knows he looks like bruce. he knows, that every time he looks at himself, all there is staring back at him is the man who chose a villain over him. all he sees within himself is someone else, he can never quite feel like he is his own person. his very drive is bruce. his very drive is how bruce failed to save him. and what better to fuel that drive than the fact that you look exactly like the man you’ve sworn to be better than?

and in the case where he and bruce mend their relationship and jason spends more time at the manor; occasionally, some of the sleep deprived batfam members mistake him as bruce from behind. maybe, damian himself has accidentally called out to jason as “father” on occasion.
