The spirit of the Hiccstrid gods must’ve possessed my soul last night, because I never shade my drawings to this extent. I’m waaayyy too lazy for that, and yet, here we are. unreal.

I like to think that Hiccup would be more of an affectionate father because he somewhat wished that Stoick was. Hence the birth of this sketch. I also love the more domestic side of Hiccup and Astrid, and can’t resist drawing cute family moments lol.

Hiccup, basically, in the entirety of the 3rd movie

Part 1 of how I think Hiccup handles the big talks in the relationship (except I’m delusional).

Not to be a loser or whatever but saying Astrid is "the man in the relationship" in Hiccstrid is wildly misogynistic and misandrist all at the same time. Enforcing rigid gender roles to pretend you're NOT enforcing gender roles is fucking weird.

Hiccup is a man, he is The Man in the relationship. All of him is masculine because he is a man, he identifies as a man, he (we can assume) has male biology, and everyone around him accepts him as male.

Acting like Hiccup is somehow "weak" or "submissive" or "effeminate" just because he's thin and has a gentler personality then Astrid walks back what Feminists have been struggling to explain for years.

Astrid is a woman, she is The Woman in the relationship. All of her is feminine because she is a woman, she identifies as a woman, she (we can assume) has female biology, and everyone around her accepts her as female.

Acting like Astrid is "dominating" or "masculine" or "stronger" just because she's a better warrior and has a more aggressive personality then Hiccup is

I think this simple parallel shows how much these two have grown close to one another over the years. It perfectly encapsulates the respect they’ve both developed, and how much more confident and comfortable Hiccup is around Astrid, and how she is more accepting of who he is as a person. Side note: I know Hiccups supposed to have a beard in this time frame, but I didn’t feel like drawing one on him. (And ruin that jawline line-art??? Hell no)! So let’s just pretend he decided to shave, I’m very sure he’s capable of doing that. Also Astrid’s pregnant… um, don’t ask me why I did that it just felt right okie?

I just feel it in my bones that they would have another kid, and really… why wouldn’t they?! 😏

I don't know if you know this, but why people are hating on Jasmine?

Hi! Hmm… I dont know if this is a recent thing, I haven’t seen anything that would suggest people are hating on her. But if so, my guess would be that they like to follow popular opinion; like sometimes it’s a trend to hate on certain things. Or that they just don’t like her because they find her annoying plain and simple.

It could be they have a problem with her age (15 years old), her attitude/personality, her “inaccuracies” (even though Agrabah is a made up place). They have to have someone who is perfect. A perfect made up character to check of all the boxes apparently, but that’s why I like her, she’s different from the cookie cutter Princess.

Lol in fact, my mom HIGHLY DISLIKES her, (even though she’s MY favorite haha). I asked her why and she just said she’s too bossy, and is super mean to Aladdin lol so there you go ig. Personally I don’t think so, but then again, it all comes down to opinions, and that’s why I’ll continue to love her despite what the general public opinion thinks. (And my mom) lmao😂

Then again, someone will always have a problem with something. So you just continue to love what you love!!! Don’t let others ruin it haha 🤍🤍🤍
