 Ok ok I swear this au is not JUST angst but i had to draw the ✨scar✨before  some happier drawings 

 When Hiccup attempted to escape and failed, he expected to be punished. And he was ready. He knew he could take it. He just didn’t expect that Grimmel would order Moonbite to do it. Seeing her wrath-driven face, her body trembling when she tried to break out of the venom’s influence, and how much it all reminded him of when Toothless was under the alpha’s control... That hurt more than anything the night fury killer himself could have done.  And the cuts in his face brought him a world of pain. Light furies have pain-inducing toxins in their claws, so he would feel his face burning, drown in terrible fevers.  But eventually, they escaped. And the scar was a painful memory, but also the mark of a survivor. He wouldn’t hide his face from anyone. And he would always reassure Moonbite she had no reason to feel guilty.

managed to sketch this little idea for my au between some work. phew.

 Hiccup, after some weeks of work and the help of one or two craftsmen, gifted his girlfriend with a pair of matching necklaces. He’d give her the nadder one, but she argued that, with the night fury, she could remember him and vice versa. He agreed that well, yeah, maybe that made more sense. Maybe.

 Now, whenever missing each other, they catch themselves looking at the pendants. (And I am totally bringing this back later for an angsty post :D)

Pls Dark Horse & DreamWorks Release the Httyd: Fire Tides. I‘ve Seen the Interview with Audrie Greywind & Richard Hamilton and Damn give this Man and his Httyd Stories Justice. I beg you DreamWorks, Thats a much better way to represent One of our most beloved Franchises than with T9R. We Need Shirtless Hiccup and a very Good Hiccstrid Story.

Hiccup and Toothless

„How to train your dragon“ belongs to my most favorite movie series of all time. These movies make me feel happy, they make me cry, they make me dream. I can’t tell how often I imagined riding a dragon like toothless.

That’s why I decided to draw a fanart of these two. And I can’t lie, it’s one of my best works. What do you think?

Again beautiful and emotional. Stoick is one of my favorite characters in the httyd universe too. I love most about him his complex relationship with his son. It was so well done in every single aspect of the trilogy and the shows. The two scenes he has with little Hiccup in httyd3 just make me more emotional because of how cruel his death was and He sacrificed himself for saving his son and his best friend. We see in this two flashbacks how he was when Hiccup was a little boy. He was more affectionate because he could protect him easier.

I can’t find words to the wonderful, pure feeling this Story gives me and your posts remind me of this feeling very much.

A chief protects his own

The scene always makes me cry and gives me goosebumps. I love stoick and his death rips me apart every time I see that scene. He was an amazing character. And cause I’ve watched the movies recently, I wanted to honor him with a fanart. Let me know what you think!

Had a week off, all geared for Inktober. But then spent most of it horizontal and on pain medication. But I can sit up now, so here’s a kind of Inktober submission.

did i still make an (admittedly shitty) doodle of a lightfury redesign anyway?

also yes.

i heard somewhere that the lightfury was intended to be an underwater dragon, and regardless of if its true or not i decided to fuckin run with it. specifically the idea of the lightfury being a deep sea dragon.

extra things about my lightfury redesign:

super sharp teeth, like those wicked teeth that a lot of underwater fish have

<- like this bad boy, but even more

most of the more sharp/long teeth are retractable, but it always has at least one row of shark-like teeth

✨glowy dragon✨

glows to attract prey, as a mating behavior, and as a way to ward off threats

can create glowy patterns with their scales, which is how they differentiate between hunting glowing, mating glowing, and danger glowing

lots of frills and fins, some retractable, some not

not naturally wary of humans due to the lack of natural predators and almost no contact with humans

not great at flying above water due to fairly weak body, but incredible at swimming and one of the most dangerous water dragons

my favourite thing about kaz is that he isn't a humourless miserable serious person. he's a drama queen, constantly sarcastic and genuienly laughs. he's cruel and terrifying, but he's also just a sassy teenager

Anyway have some silly nightlights. I named the mostly black one Blackout, the mostly white one Snowstorm, and the black and white one Eclipse.

Idk why but Blackout just strikes me as the kinda guy who quotes the Snapcube Sonic fandubs out of context to annoy his siblings.
