I relate to this so much. for years, even after I knew that I was trans, I thought that I didn't really experience gender dysphoria. it was only after I started transitioning that I realized how much it had affected me

Yall need to realize that kids today still do this on occasion, and that the big thing that’s stopping them isn’t the electronics but the parents. I used to be able to go outside, run around for hours, walk to my local pond and watch alligators, but watching my younger cousins at around the same age I was and they are always told not to leave the yard, always tell the parents where they are going, and never do anything dangerous, whether it’s because it’s actually dangerous or just potentially expensive. The problem isn’t necessarily electronics but instead the worry of parents and their overprotectiveness.

I’ve never had that quote said to me while working but I have longer for the day the day someone said that to me so I can enlighten them on how wrong they truly are. But it’s good to know that there are people that actually realize that retail/food workers are people too.

Boy I wish I had customers like you and the couple in the original post, I remember one time when I was working close one group of 4 came in at seven, which is 2 hours before we closed during the weekday, they stayed until 10:40 talking to each other and made it so we couldn’t lock the front door. This allowed other customers to walk in and try to order. This was at a fast food restaurant and my boss wouldn’t let me deny the new customers ice cream. Which is the only thing that took less than 5 minutes to make so i wasn’t allowed to close it until the front doors were locked. So I spent an hour and forty minutes cleaning areas I have already cleaned and wanting scream at the assholes who don’t pay attention to the sign on the front door that says when we close.

I guess I’ll post my memes now 🤷🏽‍♀️
