STOP GETTING WRECKER SHOT AND HIT IN THE HEAD DAVE-

REPLACEMENTS | CORNERED
I was rewatching the lightsaber duel between Sabine Wren and Gar Saxon...and I think Sabine may be Force sensitive...
If you watch the scene, you can hear the Force Suite a couple of times during the duel in addition to Sabineâs theme.

It plays when sheâs dodging Saxonâs particularly fast and hard swings and then blocks his hit with Ezraâs lightsaber, and then when she decides to let Saxon live after she wins. It actually plays as she says âThat may be the Mandalorian way, but itâs not my wayâ as she proceeds to do the most Jedi thing ever by letting her enemy live.

Not to mention during the Trial of the Darksaber when she beat Kanan in a mock duel. Did he let her win? Maybe. Was he distracted because he was paying more attention to her words rather than her actions? Possibly. Was it harder for him to keep up because he was distracted on top of being blind? Not likely, but possible. I think she genuinely won because Kanan seemed kinda shocked and overwhelmed.

When he was talking with Hera before the duel about why they were using wooden sticks instead of the real deal, and Hera thought it was because Sabine couldnât use the Force, Kanan said âthe Force resides in all living things, but you have to be open to it. Sabine is blocked.â Maybe, when she was being so open about her past and letting her feelings guide her, she because attuned to the Force, and was able to beat Kanan. Maybe thatâs why he was shocked and overwhelmed.

I also think itâs interesting how often Ezra lets Sabine use his lightsaber. He clearly trusts her and her ability to use it. When he decided to give in to Thrawnâs demands in the Rebels finale, he gave his lightsaber to Chopper, who then gave it to Sabine when they were escaping the Imperial Dome. Sabine had Ezraâs lightsaber in her possession throughout the time he was missing. Maybe Chopper gave it to her because he recorded Ezraâs message to her and the rest of the Ghost Crew and he knew what Ezra meant by âIâm counting on you.â Maybe Ezra trusts her to find him with the Force. He wanted Ahsoka to find him, but did he know that they would be teaming up to find him together? Probably not...

In the Rebels finale epilogue, when Sabine is riding her speeder from the communications tower to her meeting spot with Ahsoka, two Loth Wolves follow her for a short time before letting her go on. Kanan had previously said that they were very attuned to the Force as beings, which is why I think the wolves following her is significant.

Additionally, when Sabine is walking towards Ahsoka, the Force Suite plays again. Whether thatâs because Ahsoka is there or not is debatable. However, I think it symbolizes and foreshadows how Sabine and Ahsoka are going to find Ezra using the Force. It plays as Sabine is talking about her personal mission to find Ezra.

It is also interesting how Sabine is House Vizsla, meaning she is descended from Tarre Vizsla, the only known Mandalorian Jedi. Sure, many Mandalorians are House Vizsla, but I think Sabine is different. There is genuine evidence that points to her being force sensitive. Perhaps thatâs why the Darksaber found its way to her. If she was the only other force sensitive Mandalorian in Tarre Vizslaâs line, then it should rightfully belong to her and she should be his true successor. That might be why Bo-Katan lost the Darksaber after Rebels and then failed to earn it in the Mandalorian season 2 finale. If it is meant for Sabine, then it might try to make its way back to her via Din Djarin (and maybe it chose him because he has no desire to become the Mandâalor or rule Mandalore).
I really do think sheâs force sensitive and I hope itâs shown in the Ahsoka series. Thank you for reading if youâve come this far. Iâd love additional thoughts/feedback! :)
hera syndulla survived a bad crash landing, multiple shootouts, capture and prolonged torture, an exploding fuel depot, the loss of her lover, and the entire battle for Lothal while pregnant. i need to sit down and think about this
Star Wars protagonists in the sewer systemsâš

I agree with many people that Anakinâs story was kind of poorly developed, especially in the movies. However, I think what we have seen shows how his motivations were strong enough to join the dark side and become Darth Vader.
Anakin had no father, literally, and only had his mother until he was ~10y/o.
He and his mother were slaves for Watto.
When Qui-gon discovered how high his midichlorian count was, his force sensitivity was made into a big deal.
Qui-gon believed very early on that Anakin was the Chosen One and that he would fulfill the prophecy of balancing the force.
Anakin had to say goodbye to his mother and leave the only home he ever knew to live with and be trained by strangers.
When Anakin was first brought before the High Jedi Council, they refused to allow him to be trained. His confidence was built up and broken down within such a short amount of time.
As one of the only men that believed in him and cared for him up until that point, Qui-gonâs death must have been heartbreaking to Anakin.
The only reason Yoda agreed to let Anakin into the Order was because Obi-wan basically threatened to leave the Order and take Anakin with him and train him without the councilâs supervision (and because he trusted Qui-gonâs judgement).
Anakin was raised by Obi-wan for the next 10 years, but probably in a very by-the-book way because Obi-wan was dedicated the the Jedi Code.
During this time, he was probably judged by everyone else in the Order. Everyone expected him to be the Chosen One. What do you think happened when Anakin failed at something? Made a mistake? He was probably held to such high expectations the rest of his childhood.
When he was 19, he saw force visions of his mother dying. He went back to Tatooine to find her just in time for her to die in his arms. He killed the entire village of Tusken Raiders out of rage, probably because he never had a place to vent his anger before. Jedi are taught not to let emotions control their actions, but for the first ~10 years of his life, he was raised differently. He probably had strong emotions but had to hide them to avoid further disappointment from his peers.
It is implied that Anakin was knighted because the Jedi Order didnât have enough Jedi knights to serve as generals in the Clone War. They admitted that he hadnât passed all of the trials but knighted him anyways. One of the most important achievements in any Jediâs life was falsified in Anakinâs case for the councilâs gain.
When the council entrusts him to train Ahsoka, and after he warms up to the idea of that responsibility, he grows very attached to Ahsoka. So when Cad Bane almost threw her out an airlock, she was almost killed by the Blue Shadow Virus, she was possessed (and killedÂż) by the Brother, she was kidnapped by Trandoshans, she was framed for murder, she was expelled from the Order, and when she left the Order and Anakin behind...Anakin felt responsible, heartbroken, and maybe even betrayed. He missed her and resented the council for her deciding to leave.
Not to mention when the council decided to have Obi-wan fake his death and go undercover to prevent Eval from kidnapping Palpatine. Anakin genuinely thought his master, the man who raised him, âthe closest thing [he had] to a father,â was dead. They had a funeral that Obi-wanâs closest friends and peers attended under the impression that it was real. After the missionâs success, Anakin finds out that the council lied to him in such a horrible and kind of unnecessary way.
Anakin also saw force visions of PadmĂ© dying. Not only was padmĂ© his wife and the love of his life, but she was also the mother of his unborn children. He wasnât just trying to save her, he was also trying to save the twins from dying. He had three lives at risk that he was desperate to save.
When Anakin is inducted into the Jedi Council, he isnât given the rank of master. This is the first time in the Jedi Orderâs history that a member of the council was not ranked as a master. If Anakin wasnât ready to be a master, he shouldnât have been accepted onto the council. Later, Windu tells Anakin that if his intel is correct then he will have âgained [his] trustâ meaning that Windu never truly trusted him before that.
So when Palpatine promises to help Anakin save PadmĂ©, supports Anakinâs decisions throughout the war, and seems to want to help him, Anakin grows close to him. Anakin depended on him.
In the end, he was deceived. Padmé was dead (he probably assumed his children were dead by extension), the Jedi were dead, he believed his former padawan was dead (probably at the hands of Rex, who he also probably thought was dead), his master had left him to die, his life was basically ruined, and all he had was a man that engineered his suit to constantly cause him pain to ensure that he would never overthrow him.
Anakinâs story is a tragedy, and itâs shown beautifully if you pay enough attention.
