A Well-written Life Is Almost As Rare As A Well-spent One.

So, the casting for the Percy Jackson disney series has come out! I’ve only seen the Adam Project, so I don’t have any idea how the two actors playing Annabeth and Grover are on screen, but I’m sure that they’ll do their best (and trusting that Riordan has managed to find actors that capture the essence of his characters).

And, y’know, when the movies came out, I didn’t care as much about the differences between physical descriptions in the book and movies, but more that they’d screwed up the whole timeline.

A non-white child who can play Annabeth to a T? Is absolutely something I am more than willing to watch because representation is important, and being able to play a character and bring their personality to life in an authentic way? Way more important than what the actor looks like verses what the source material showed them to look like.

[Person A with an armful of Person B (a fully grown adult) who is clinging to Person A as if their life depends on it. Person C stands to the side snickering]

Person A: Why did you do this?

Person C: I thought it would be funny

Person A [glaring a death stare at Person C]: You know that [B] is afraid of spiders.

Person B clings harder and bursts into another round of tears.

Person A [shifting to accommodate B’s weight]: You’ve traumatized them!

Person C [shrugs]: I thought they were already traumatized.

Person A: ThAt’S nOt ThE pOiNt!

Offered someone with a food allergy a homemade doughnut hole. They asked if it was made *without* the allergen.

I said yes. Like, dude, why would I offer you something we both know you can’t eat?

The fact that people actually try to offer other people foods that could make them horribly sick/kill them, just, astounds me. Like, it’s not hard to not feed someone something they don’t like, are allergic to, abstain from for religious reasons, etc. why would they do that? If someone doesn't want to eat something no matter the reason, don’t try and feed it to them

Lucifer TV and Good Omens Headcanon:

Angels and Demons are 100% responsible for the human phenomena of the ”uncanny valley” effect. (Wherein nearly every human is made uncomfortable by things that appear almost human but are not, which implies that there is or was something that “appeared” human that was dangerous).
