Season 10 is just the hermits trying SO HARD to Be Normal at Minecraft that now they are Riding Horses and Fishing and I am HERE FOR IT

Everyone on Hermitcraft is immortal in one way or another. Whether they were always immortal (Etho still is bad with time even after he's practiced so much. It didn't really matter to him for a long time.) or became immortal ("We can offer you power and knowledge no mortal could ever have!" said the Watchers. Grian wished he at least hesitated.). Whether blessed ("This is the greatest gift I can bestow upon you, great knight!" Wels accepted graciously) or cursed ("You wish to live? Then live you shall!" The vex cackled as Scar shook its hand.). Whether a side effect ("I suppose it comes with being undead!" Cleo shrugged) or the intent (Doc couldn't help but grin as his own code was displayed before his eyes). Whether they've always known (Joe was one reckless and apparently unkillable kid!) or found out later on (No there was no way Mumbo, a normal 16 year old, could have survived dying. If he did, he'd definitely be freaking out right about now!). No matter what way a Hermit was immortal, they were glad to have each other!
