AI-less Whumptober Day 8: Panic Attack

AI-less Whumptober Day 8: Panic Attack

Fandom: Miraculous Ladybug

Summary: After a bad day, Gabriel loses his temper and throws a vase at Adrien. Adrien realizes what happened the next day at school and struggles to stay calm.

Adrien couldn't focus. Even though he always liked history, not even that could keep him distracted. He started at the board but took no notes and didn't listen to the teacher.

The night before had been stressful and not just because of the akuma attack. It was what came after that made things so much worse.

The akuma had been simple. With the power to create monsters out of light, the victim had blinded the heroes for a while before they found away around it. The attack had started right before dinner and ended about 1am.

Even simple things can take a while to fix. Ladybug and Cat Noir said their goodbyes and both headed home.

When Adrien had arrived home he heard crashing from downstairs. Despite Plagg telling him not to check it out, he walked down the stairs. His footsteps were silent against the ground as he made his way to the ground floor.

There was another crash. The child made his way to the source of the noise and gently opened the door to his fathers study. Gabriel held a smaller vase he had recently gotten because he had 'knocked over' the old one.

    "Dad?" Adrian asked softly.

Gabriel sharply turned to look at him. Before Adrien could react there was a vase being hurdled in his direction. He tried to move but ended up being hit in the edge of his shoulder. The glass broke against the wall as the man shouted at him to get out.

Adrian grabbed his shoulder and the door handle with his other hand. He ran out of the room, trying not to slam the door. He heard Gabriel call for him but he didn't care.

When he got back to his room he looked at Plagg, "you were right."

The bell broke Adrian's thought process for a moment. He looked at his non-existent notes and sighed. Placing the notebook back in his bag he looked at the time. It was almost the end of the day. He had one more class.

As Adrian put his bag in his shoulder he winced. Wrong shoulder. He moved it to his other arm and got ready to leave the class. Nino stopped him, "you okay?"

"Oh yeah! I'm fine!" Adrien smiled.

    "Okay." Nino sounded unsure.

Adrien made his way to his next class. He sat down and pulled out his notebook. The room was almost silent. There was nothing to protect him from his mind, nothing to fill the void.

After the boy had entered the room, he pulled off his shirt to see the damage. He was much calmer than he felt he should have been.

"What happened?" Plagg asked, going to grab some bandages from Adrian's bathroom.

"It was my father. He was destroying stuff in his study." He took the bandages out of Plagg's little hands and went to the bathroom to grab a disinfectant.

"Did he throw something at you or something?" Plagg followed him.

"Yeah, the new vase he got." He grabbed the spray from the cabinet and opened the cap. He sprayed it on his skin and placed a few bandaids on. He threw away the trash and changed into his pajamas.

    "Are you okay?" Plagg asked.

"Yeah, just surprised." He laid down and fell asleep.

Adrian wasn't sure why he had been so calm the night before. It didn't make sense. Why did this have to bother him now? He looked at the paper that had been placed in front of him. Then back at the time.

Thirty minutes stood between now and when he would be going home. Adrian didn't want to go home. How would his father act? Would he apologize? Would he tell him to be quiet about it? Would he even say anything?

As the questions ran though his mind his breathing started to speed up. He couldn't think straight. Adrian looked down at his paper and noticed he couldn't see straight.

Plagg leaned against him, trying to calm him down.

Adrian felt like he couldn't breathe, the questions still circulating in his mind . Would this happen again? What would have happened if he hadn't gone downstairs, hadn't left the room, hadn't moved?

Tears fell from his eyes as his fellow students realized something was wrong. His breathing was out of control now. He brought one hand up to his chest. The teacher got on the phone and called the nurse.

Alya who had been sitting behind him jumped off of her chair and came to his side. "Adrian? Are you okay?"

The answer felt obvious, still he tried to shake his head yes.

"Breath" she tried to comfort him by placing a careful hand on his shoulder but instead he flinched, shrinking away from her touch.

"Did that hurt?" She asked, the concern in her voice growing more and more evident.

Adrien nodded. The teacher led them to the hallway where Alya reassured him that she could take care of him.

They stayed in the hallway for a while. Adrian pressed his back to the wall as he shook. He listened to Alya talk to him but couldn't understand her.

    "What's going on Adrian?"

"I don't, want to go" his breath caught in his throat and he coughed. He felt sick. "home."

    "What happened?"

"It's fine-" he leaned into her, grabbing her shoulders to stabilize himself. "Really, it's fine."

"No, it's not fine. Alya rubbed her hand over his back, trying to calm him down. She let him stay there and cry for a while.

As his breathing began to even out, he moved to look at her. She looked so, scared. "Are you okay?" He asked, voice still shaking and tears still falling.

"Yeah I'm okay. I'm just worried about you."

"I'm fine, a few things just piled up, that's all." He wiped the tears off his face. Alya handed him a tissue which he took. The two stood.

Alya held her arms out for a hug. Adrien quickly expected it and they stayed there until the bell rang. She went into the class and grabbed their bags. She handed him his and walked him to the outside of the school building.

"Are you going to be okay?" She asked.

Adrien paused before answering. "Yeah, I'll be fine. Thank you."

    "You sure?"

    "Yeah."

"Call me if you need anything?"

"Okay." Adrian walked towards the car. He sighed as he got in. Plagg hung close to him, trying to help keep him grounded. The boy stared out the window, unsure of what to do or what was next. At least he had Plagg.

AI-less Whumptober Day 5: Non-concental Touching (Alt Prompt 25)

Fandom: The Dragon Prince

Warning: Sexual assault, pedophile, character death.

Summary: While aboard the Sea Legs Finnegan decided that if Callum won't give him the spell to him he'll just take something else.

Callum was scared. He was chained up, below the deck of the Sea Legs. Hed been shocked a few too many times and Finnegan was starting to get tired of his defiance. "Pain just doesn't do it for you, does it?" He spat. "Fine, I'll just take something else for you."

The pirate signaled for Deadwood to stop shocking the mage. Then he pointed to the door, "leave us. Stay by the door."

Elmore nodded and left. As the door closed Finnegan kneeled down to Callum, "I would give you another chance but you're just too damn cute."

'Cute?' Callum's stomach sank. What did that mean. Why was the pirate looking at his with such, lust? That couldn't be right. The prince had to just be imagining it. There was no way Finnegan could have such an intent. "What?" He said sternly.

Finnegan raised his hand to the mage's face and gently caressed it. Callum tried to shy away from his hand but the pirate made sure he couldn't. "Is hot better?"

"What the hell is wrong with you,? Creep!" Callum shouted. Finnegan's other hand gently touched his hip. Again he tried to move out to find he couldn't. His question went unanswered.

Callum felt the grip on his hip tighten, "I'll tell you how to do the spell!"

"That time has passed." With his hand still on his face, the mage was pulled into a kiss. He tried to pull away. He tried to fight him. However Finnegan's grip would just tighten.

Callum raised his legs and attempted to kick his enemy off of him. He failed. Finnegan pulled away from their frosted kiss and smiled. "You taste sweet."

He moved his head to face the ground. The prince pulled more of the chains, trying to break free. He didn't want this, he didn't want any of this. "Let me go."

"No, I don't think I will." This time Finnegan moved his legs over Callum's, pinning him. His knees almost reached the poll. He towered over the boy. "Save the shaking for later dear, I'll treat you well."

Callum didn't know what to do. He could do nothing as Finnegan ran his dirty hands all over him. They lingered in certain areas longer. His hips, lower stomach, sides and his neck all felt dirty. The pirate brought his hands down to Callum's ass and grabbed it. Then he shifted to his dick.

Callum couldn't breathe. Tears welled in his eyes as he realized there was nothing he could do. There didn't seem to be anything that could save him. Zym and Bait couldn't help him, his friends were all above deck, and all of Finnegan's crew was too scared of him to do anything. He squirmed under the older man's grasp.

"Stay still" Finnegan spoke. It was unnerving that he didn't sound angry, he didn't really sound annoyed either. He sounded like a friend trying to get you to stay still when you have something on your shirt.

The tears Callum had been avoiding fell from his eyes. He was terrified about what was about to happen to him. As one of Finnegan's hands ran up his thigh, the other one started to undo Callum's belt. "Please" he whimpered, "stop."

Above deck Ezren started to cry. His link with Zym led to him knowing what was going on just out of sight. He started to struggle more. He pulled and pulled as he cried. He was unsure what he would do if he did escape.

    "Ezren?" Soren yelled.

"What's going on?" Rayla asked immediately after.

"It's Callum!" Ezren's voice broke. "Finnegan's hurting him!"

"Callum's strong, he'll be okay." Soren did his best to comfort his little brother, even if he was saying it for himself too. "There's nothing we can do."

"No, we have to!" Ezren took a breath but his voice still wavered as he spoke, "he's, he's touching him and-" his words became impossible to understand.

"Are you really going to let him do that!?" Soren shouted at the crew. No one said anything.

"Zym help him." Ezren whisper cried.

Below deck Finnegan was holding Callum in a harsh kiss before starting to remove his own clothing. Callum had been left in his underwear, his pants pulled down to his shoes and his shirt of to the side. He had several bight marks and hickeys now, one uncomfortably close on his thigh.

Zym did as he was told. He sent an uncontrolled wave of lighting in the two's direction. The bolt hit Finnegan but the current carried it to Callum as well. Both cried out in pain.

Finnegan stumbled back just enough for Callum to kick him in the jaw. When he went to stand, the prince took out his feet. Before the pirate could say anything Zym shocked him again.

Callum struggled and reached for the necessary ingredient needed for a spell. He grabbed the tail and crushed it in his hand, "Meht dnib leets gnirehtils."

The chains around his wrists became snakes and slithered around the floor of the ship. "Fulminis!" he yelled. Lightning shot towards Finnegan. Callum grabbed his pants and pulled them back up, fastening them quickly. He grabbed his shirt from where it lay and hasty got it on his body. His breathing never slowed.

Finnegan stood and walked over to his desk. He grabbed a knife and walked towards his prize. "What are you doing?"

Callum brought his hand up, ready to cast another spell but a knife ended up in it. "I don't think so."

    "Leave me alone."

Once more Finnegan grabbed Callum's face, "no" he forced him to kiss him. This time Callum played in just enough to be able to grab the knife that was stuck in his own hand and drove it through Finnegan's chest.

Callum felt no remorse for what he had just done. He spent a short second trying to make it look like nothing happened then he slammed the door open to the deck. He tossed the bloody knife down into the wood and requested that his friends be released.

Even Ezren didn't feel bad for the body below deck. He ran to Callum as soon as he was free and stood in front of him, ready to hug him if he wanted one. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah" Callum shook. There was blood on his clothes and hand. Soren came over and tore a piece of fabric off of his clothes. He grabbed Callum's hand to wrap it but he pulled away.

"Sorry." Callum slowly handed his hand over to Soren to wrap.

Villads walked over to the ship's wheel and got them back on track.

    "Did he-?" Soren asked.

Rayla went to get Zym, Bait, and the little glow toads.

"How did-?" Fear laced his words.

    "Zym." Ezren answered.

    "No, Zym saved me."

Zym and Bait met with Callum, Zym nigging his leg. Rayla and the other glow toads followed. "Do you want to talk a-" Rayla started.

"No, let's just find Aaravos and go home. Please."

"Okay." Ezren made his way across the ship. He knew his brother had a long road to recovery and he may not know how to help him on that road. But he also knew that no matter what, he would be there for him. Always.

Whumptober Day 6: Mind Control/Forced to Hurt Someone Else

Fandom: The Dragon Prince

Warning: Violents

Summary: Callum gets possessed by Aarovose on the worst day, his aunt's wedding.

Callum knew there was a reason he told Rayla to kill him if Aaravos took control of him again. He knew that if it were to happen, someone would get hurt. So it should be him.

He thought he would be safe at his aunt's wedding. It was a beautiful outdoor venue and the weather was perfect. Callum was so happy for Amaya and he was so excited to see her happy. The day was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life.

Ezren and Zym spread flowers down the aisle. Rayla sat next to Callum. "I'm sorry I'm late" she whispered.

"It's okay" he responded. He pulled a tiny hand held mirror out of his pocket so that she should finish her hair.

"You're the best." She tied two braids together and put them in a bun. She gave his a thumbs up when she was done.

Katolis's wedding march started to play. Soren had learned to play piano while Corvus played the Violin. They sounded good together.

Amaya appeared in the doorway and everyone stood. Gren walked with her. He was so excited when she asked him to walk her down the aisle. Her dress was white with blue accents. It was long but not overly flowy. She had a crimson orchard in her hair.

Ezren was sitting with Callum and Rayla now. Zym was by the king and so was Bait. Amaya got to the altar and smiled. She looked so excited.

As a Janai appeared a Xadian wedding march was played, orchestrated by a few of her friends. Her dress was in traditional sunfire elf tradition, consisting of mostly reds and oranges. It was floor length and had a black flower lace.

She arrived at the altar, smiling. Gren already looked like he was going to cry. The ceremony started. Rayla awkwardly handed the hand held mirror back to Callum as the vows finished.

He took the mirror, face up and looked down at it so he could put it in his pocket. He didn't trust himself not to drop it while trying to put it away.

A familiar face appeared in the mirror and Callum tried to shove it away. The Startouch elf just had to make his presence known.

"Does anyone object to this marriage?" The priest asked.

"I do." Callum could think straight anymore. He watched his body stand and watched the horror on his aunt Amaya's face as she watched him be the only person to object.

It wasn't Callum's voice that spoke, just his mouth. But how could she know that? Rayla stood quickly, as did Ezren. Soren jumped out of his seat. Corvus, confused, stood with him.

    "Aaravos" Rayla grimaced.

Amaya looked at her wife then at Gren. 'What's going on?' She signed.

"I don't think that's Callum." Gren looked back at the scene in front of them.

Callum's body moved from where it stood and into the aisle. He smiled as he raised a hand up to fight. "Fulminis." Aaravos detected the attack at the altar.

As lightning shot from his fingers, Amaya grabbed Janai and got them both out of the way. Gren moved off to the side and went to make sure that both brides were alright.

Callum couldn't stop himself from being used as a tool for the awful man. He tried as hard as he could. It felt so surreal. He was conscious of everything that he was doing but couldn't stop it. He could do nothing but watch as his body and his magic tore apart the people he loved.

All he could do was try to fight and hope Rayla remembered what they talked about. The mage knew he would rather die right here, right now, then be a danger to the people he loved.

"Callum!" Ezren yelled, "come on, fight it! You can beat him!"

Aaravos pulled the puppet strings. He brought Callum's body closer to his brother and grabbed him by the neck. He pulled him up and threw him to the ground. The little boy staggered standing up.

'No' Callum thought. 'This can't be  happening.'

Soren grabbed his sword from his side and drew it. He hated the thought that he may have to hurt Callum but he knew that if it came down to it, he'd rather it be that way.

Everyone was confused. "What's happening to him?" Gren translated for Amaya.

    "He's possessed!" Rayla answered.

"By?!" Janai asked as she went to grab her and Amaya's swords. Two had been made; a sunforge blade for Amaya and a blade carefully crafted by the king's most trusted swordsmiths. Gren started to help people get away from the venue. It was the best thing he could do since he carried no weapon.

"Aaravos! He's a Startouch elf!" Janai's blood ran cold. She already knew what it was like to lose people to him, she didn't want Amaya to as well.

"Callum!" Callum could hear Soren call out for him but he couldn't answer. He tried but all it seemed he could do was try. Was it ever going to be enough? Trying?

Soren handed Corvus his sword quickly. He tried to run up to Callum but Rayla stopped him. "Whatever you're going to do, don't."

He pulled away from her anyway and went up to Aaravos. Curious, the Startouch elf let it slide. Soren grabbed the shoulders of the boy and looked into his eyes. "You're one of the strongest people I've ever met, if anyone can stop him it's you, Callum. I believe in yo-" Aaravos had heard enough.

He grabbed Soren's neck harshly. "It's sweet, what you're trying to do" he chuckled. "It's too bad really, you won't survive long enough to see if it works."

From behind Amaya grabbed Callum and tried to pull him off of the knight. At the same time Rayla pulled Soren away. Scratches were left on the man's neck.

No one wanted to hurt Callum. It felt wrong, not going to fight the threat but the threat was, well in Callum's body. At the moment all they wanted was to get him free of Aaravos's control. They knew he was hurting.

The elf struggled against Amaya. He kicked at her and scratched her. His heal cought part of her dress and the end ripped some. Swinging his leg around the general's he tripped her. It took them both down but from there he got away from her.

Angry at her for stopping him from killing the useless golden boy, he stomped on her knee. "Let's see if that slows you down." Janai came over to her. She raised her sword towards Aaravos, wishing that hurting him didn't mean hurting Callum.

She struck quickly. Aaravos moved back, only taking a slash to the arm. He chuckled, "Fulminis." The lightning course through her body and she fell to the ground. Amaya checked on Janai and as he went to kill the two Corvus stepped in.

Aaravos walked to Corvus. The tracker held Soren's sword tight, frightened by the thought of what he may have to do.

"I'll take that." The elf went to kick Corvus but he moved. He attempted to fight him, to grab the sword so he could do some real damage; but the man was able to keep it away from him.

So when Rayla came up behind him, he decided that her weapon was good enough. She didn't expect him to grab it out of her hands.

Callum always had a pretty smile. Today, it was creepy, almost crazy. He took the knife and faced Corvus again. He stabbed him in the side.

Corvus cried out in pain. As the knife was pulled from his body he fell to the ground. Soren, who had been informing Gren of what was going on, rushed to his side. "It's alright, it's okay" he whispered.

The tears falling from Callum's eyes became more frequent. He had to stop him. Corvus was important to him, he couldn't just let Aaravos kill him. He had to do something.

Soren's words hurt. He knew the two were close but it only hit him now just how close they were. The knight had pulled him into his lap. He ran his hands over his head and tried to keep him calm. His other hand put pressure on the wound.

Rayla grabbed Callum. She pulled him away from the two and got ready to fight. Aaravos didn't mind having to wait. He attacked Rayla, paying no attention to the danger that his vessel might be in. He pushed her away and slammed him foot into her stomach. She cried out and slipped on a flower.

Bait tried to reach Callum. He approached him and shown a bright yellow. Aaravos kicked him off to the side.

Ezren ran up to Bait. He was joined by Zym. He made sure he was okay. As Aaravos walked towards Rayla, he stepeed in. He looked fearless as he stood in front of his brother's body.  "Callum! I know you're there!"

He held Rayla 's knife and stepped closer to Ezren. As his arm rose to take the boy's life, Callum collapsed. His brother caught him and placed him on the ground.

He had finally broken free of Aaravos's control. After what felt like an eternity he sat up and looked around. Corvus had been stabbed, Janai shocked, Amaya had a broken leg, Ezren looked like he was in pain, Bait was still laying on the ground, Soren's neck looked awful, and Rayla was just now getting up. What had he done?

The king opened his arms, inviting Callum to hug him. The mage leaned into his brother and started crying harder then before. He apologized over and over and Ezren kept trying to tell him it wasn't his fault

Gren returned with a doctor. He looked at the sight in front of him. "Oh boy" he whispered. At least no one was dead.

This would be a wedding to remember.

Whumptober Day 5: "You better pray I don't get up this time around"/pinned down

Fandom: Miraculous Ladybug

Summary: Cat Noir faces Monarch alone one violent night.

Warning: Violence.

Cat Noir couldn't stand Monarch. No matter what he wanted, putting everyone though so much pain and  torture was non-excuseable. Fighting the villain personally was a rare occurrence.

The fight was harder than normal. Ladybug was nowhere to be seen. The sky was pitch black, the moon hidden behind the clouds. Even she knew that this fight would be too much for her.

Monarch was desperate. He hadn't cared if he killed the heroes but today he went in knowing this was the day he would risk everything.

It felt like his prayers had been answered when only one hero emerged to take hugs down.

Adrien had had a bad feeling the entire day. As soon as he woke up, he knew something was going to happen. There was a pit in his stomach as he went through his classes and when he left school he chose his words carefully when he said goodbye.

They met at the Eiffel Tower. Monarch was ready for a fight and Cat Noir knew it. Before he knew it he had been slammed into the legs of the tower. He stood up and grabbed his poll from where it rested.

The villain ran at his, "where is your partner?"

"Wouldn't you like to know!" He swung his poll. It was met with a sword. Cat Noir pushed the sword back and stepped forward, attempting to hit Monarch. He hit his back, pushing him under the tower.

As time went on, both hero and villain grew tired. Cat Noir was slammed into the ground. He could feel his bones and muscles growing tired.

Monarch grabbed Adrien and forced him into a nearby lamp post. The post fell to the ground, Cat Noir didn't. The villain held him harshly and kneed him in the stomach. He cried out on pain.

Then he was back against the Eiffel Tower legs. The ground has become a place he had grown accustomed to. Monarch walked over as Cat Noir tried to stand. He stomped on his hand, breaking it in multiple places.

Adrian pulled it back and stood as quickly as he could. As soon as he stood he was thrown back onto the ground. His vision was blurry. All he could taste was salt. The damage done to his body made him regret waking up that morning. He wondered where Ladybug was, hoping she would show up and save him.

The hero spit blood out of his mouth. His lip was split in multiple places and his face had multiple cuts, both from the ground and from being hit repeatedly by Monarch.

"This can all end if you would just give me your miraculous." Monarch walked closer to Cat Noir.

"If you want my miraculous-" Adrian used his poll to stand. He stumbled and swayed as he stood. "You better pray I don't get up this time around." He stuttered his words.

Adrien knew that he would die for this if he had to. His life for the safety of others seemed like a fair price to pay.

Gabriel looked at the child in front of him. He stood, ready to die. And Monarch was ready to kill him. He had been in his way for too long.

"Cataclysm" Adrien spoke carefully. He pushed one foot in front of the other.

"Resistance." Cat Noir touched Monarch's chest. Cataclysm deactivated and he was still standing. He grabbed the boy's wrist and tossed him back. He grabbed the fallen lamp post and struck him in the ribs.

The poll stayed on top of him. Cat Noir was pinned. He struggled and as he opened his mouth to activate his power, Monarch forced the poll down. He screamed as his age of his ribs broke under the pressure. "I guess my prayer was answered."

A foot rested on Adrian's right hand. No matter what he couldn't get out from underneath Monarch. He cried in pain and frustration. Was this really it? Did he lose? The lap post continued to press against him, making his injuries worse. Even if he did leave with his miraculous, he'd have to give it up anyway. His injuries were too severe to not be treated.

Adrian tied to remove his hand for under the enemy's foot. Nothing. Everything hurt. Monarch kneeled down and replaced his foot with his hand. He looked at the child maliciously. "Goodbye Cat Noir." Then the world went black.

AI-less Whumptober Day 6: "It Should Have Been Me."

Fandom: The Dragon Prince

Warning: Character Death

Summary: Runaan goes on a job. A young girl gets caught in the crossfire.

Ethari did have a good feeling when Runaan left for him next job. He had put Rayla to bed and had made a cup of tea. He sat on a chair in the living room for most of the night. As the sky started to lighten, he started to pace.

It was almost morning when Runaan returned home. Ethari was on his fourth cup of tea, using the same tea leaves, when the door opened. He was going to greet him, but the elf had already made his way to the room.

The assassin slammed his bow down onto the ground. He quietly yelled in frustration and started to walk around the room. He jumped when he saw Eathari.

"Are you okay?" Ethari walked over to him.

Runaan opened his mouth to speak but couldn't. He instead collapsed onto his lover's arms. He cried into his shoulder.

All Ethari could do was hold him. He hoped Rayla would wake up late. All any of them needed was to add her into the equation.

    "It should have been me."

"What?" His voice shook as he spoke.

"It should have been me. I should be the one we have to bury!"

"Runaan, please don't talk like that. What happened?"

He didn't answer. Instead he muttered the words again.

"Runaan, talk to me." Ethari was trying not to cry. Sure, Runaan had come back to him hurt and unstable, but this was new.

The assassin pulled back, out of the craftsmen's comforting arms. He looked at his own and apologized. "I forgot about the-" his voice broke.

"Darling it's just clothes. Please, let me take a look at you. Are you hurt?"

    "It's- not, mine."

"It's going to be okay. Let's get you cleaned up." Ethari stood and offered a hand out. When Runaan didn't move the craftsmen informed him that he'll be right back.

He brought back a damp rag. "Here, give me your hands." He took Runaan's shaky hands and gently scrubbed them. The man was still trembling and tears were still falling from his eyes.

Ethari wanted to take away his pain. He looked into his eyes and softly asked, "what happened love?"

"There was this, this young girl. You get them Rayla."

Ethari's heart sunk. That's why Runaan was so distressed.

"She had" he paused "She came out of nowhere. I didn't, have time. The leader had aimed at me. He missed and" the words became sobs again as Runaan tried to explain. "I should have been me."

"It's going to be okay." Light had begun to fill the room. It wouldn't be long before Rayla would wake up. "Breathe. Let's go to our room okay?"

Runaan just grabbed him. He wrapped his arms around him tightly and didn't move. A door creeped open. Ethari listened to the footsteps as he tried to calm his husband. He didn't want Rayla to see Runaan like this, for both of their sakes.

The footsteps got quieter and the door closed gently.

Slowly, Runaan recovered. He laid on Ethari's chest, asleep. The man sat against the couch, trying to figure out how he was going to get circulation back in his leg.

Rayla decided it should be okay to come out of her room. She shut her door silently and walked the hallway without revealing she was there. She came into the living room and looked at the two of them.

Ethari had his head on the couch, even though it was uncomfortable. His arms were around his lover and Runaan's were around him. "Is everything okay?"

    "It will be."

    "What happened? Is he okay?"

Ethari paused. "He, just had a rough night."

"How rough because he was crying pretty hard earlier."

"Very. He'll be okay. He might be off for a while but it'll be okay."

"Okay. Are you okay? You look tired."

    "Yeah, I'm okay."

Rayla seemed satisfied with that answer. She walked into the kitchen and returned with breakfast and a hot tea with just the right amount of sugar for Ethari. He smiled as she entered the room. "Thank you Rayla."

She just smiled and handed the cup to him. "Can you bring me a damp cloth?" He asked.

"Yeah" she whispered. After moment she came back to the room and handed it to him. "Here."

"Thank you." He took bits of Runaan's hair into his hands and gently pressed the cloth against it to get buts of dried blood out of it.

Rayla sat down near him with her legs crossed, "he'll be okay."

"I know. Are you okay? This can be a lot to deal with."

    "Yeah I'm okay."

    "Okay."

The room filled with silence. Eventually Rayla fell asleep and Ethari was alone again. What could he do about this? Nothing he could say or do would ever convince Runaan that it wasn't his fault. So he just had to be there, be a shoulder to lean on, be a chest to sleep on, and be arms that he could feel safe and loved in.

Ethari took a deep breath then took a sip of his tea. He had a long way to go and the road would not make it easy. But no matter what, he would make sure Runaan made it through the rocks and breyers. Even if it meant holding his hand and walking through it with him.

Codywan Week Day 5: Sith Au

Summary: Obi-wan mysteriously disappears halfway through the Clone War. Cody is left wondering what happened to him and one day gets his answer.

Note: Mando'a used: Hut'uun (coward, the worst insult) and Cyare (beloved/loved). More at the bottom for after the story. Enjoy!

When Count Dooku told Obi-wan everything the Jedi had done to Sifo Dyas he started to think harder about his life. Slowly Dooku clawed his way in Obi-wan's mind and prospective.

They talked around the beginning of the war and now a year and a half had gone by. A lot happens in eighteen months. Including Obi-wan falling in love with his commander. He told him how he felt around six months before the Jedi disappeared.

Cody had a difficult time adjusting to his new general and even longer to realize Obi-wan was gone. The 212th watched his closely. They hadn't known that the two were so close.

Now, a year and eight months into the Clone War a new sith emerged. The Jedi panicked internally as they could barely contain the ones they had.

The sith was around 5'10 with auburn hair that had a single braid in it. He wore long, black robes with red accents. His face was concealed by a black mask. Some said he had bright red eyes while most said they were brown or burnt orange.

One thing was for sure. He was dangerous. Even if he didn't seem to be fond of killing things; which was strange for a sith; he could and would if necessary.

Somewhere in Cody's mind be wondered if it was possible for the sith to be Obi-wan. Even if it didn't make sense and Obi-wan would rather be dead than a sith, in the back of him mind he hoped it was him.

It made the clone sick to think about. Why would he want Obi-wan to be behind that mask? He knew that it was cruel to hope, but he did.

Learning he wasn't the only one was strange. Anakin and Cody had gotten close, both sharing the unimaginable loss of a loved one. Cody even told him about their relationship.

The 212th marched to the battlefield. As the fight raged on, they found themselves facing the new sith.

Obi-wan wasn't ready. He saw Cody's armor through all the chaos and suddenly he regretted everything. Designing to ignore it was his best idea.

Cody took one look at the man and sent a message over the comms, "Sith." That was all he needed to say. He looked back to the field and dreaded the fatality number this battle would have.

As the two got closer, Cody noticed something. The hair, the style, the almost knee high boots; they all looked familiar. His eyes had a look in them the man had long seen a few times. "Obi-wan?" He whispered. No that couldn't make sense. Obi-wan would never turn.

The sith turned to face Cody. The air was gone from the field as they realized something. No longer were they on the same side.

"Obi-wan!" Cody's voice ran through the field. This couldn't be happening. Obi-wan wouldn't do this to him. He wouldn't hurt anyone he didn't have to.

Obi-wan looked away. He never wanted to hurt Cody. He never truly wanted to hurt anyone. Dooku wanted control. He had wormed his way into the Jedi's mind and manipulated him into helping him.

Obi-wan Turned to face Cody again. They approached each other. "You fucking traitor!" The clone yelled, his voice cracking.

"I know." Obi-wan spoke softly.

As Cody approached the man he called off his droids. He allowed the clones to shoot them down, all he wanted to do was talk to his commander.

"Hut'uun! Take off that mask!" He swung to take it off but Obi-wan beat him to it.

"Of course, cyare" He let it rest in his hand.

"Don't you dare call me that!" Cody met Obi-wan's eyes. They weren't cold or hateful. They were just... sad.

Cody's hatred faded. Obi-wan was lost. The darkness had scuffed out the little flicker he had left. He wasn't sure what to do.

The clone couldn't just let Obi-wan drown. He loved him dearly but he couldn't let him leave. Resting a hand on the sith's shoulder, he sighed. "I'm not going to hurt you."

"What?"

"Why are you doing this?"

Obi-wan was silent for a moment. Cody knew what to do. Carefully he switched his gun from kill to stun. Kenobi knew but didn't stop him.

Quickly Cody pulled his gun and shot Obi-wan. With tears in his eyes he turned back to his men. "Finish the droids off. Someone take Kenobi."

One of the men grabbed the man and took him into custody. Cody wasn't sure how he was going to explain any of this. He wasn't sure that he was right or that he should have given Obi-wan a chance. The truth would just have to come out when he was on trial.

@codywanweek

Another note: I wasn't sure how to write it but Obi-wan did fall because of manipulation from Dooku. I think that can be gotten from the story but I wasn't really sure and wanted to explain it lol.
