Blue - Terry from The Dragon Prince [Trans boy]

Terry is actually one of my favourite trans masc characters ever, it’s so rare to see early transition characters who are presented as happy and non-tragic. Also he’s visibly trans!! I get so fed up with the only trans rep we get being extremely cis passing people when that’s not what 99% of us look like

Soultember Prompt 5: Color one from 2018 list
Fandom: The Dragon Prince
Summary: People are colorblind until you see your soulmate for the first time. Amaya never expected to be looking at her enemy as the world lit up around her.
The breach had never looked so beautiful. It had always been a place of death and fear but right now it was lit up by color. It stunned Amaya for a moment, the color that erupted from the lava.
The moment of admiration quickly faded to dread. Why here? Why now? Why, her? The general looked back to her opponent, a skilled Sunfire elf. She looked just as surprised.
Then the elf drew her sword. It was colorful, the blade being different shades of, green? No yellow. It looked lively in the same way that Sairi had told her.
Amaya drew her sword. She looked at it, curious to see how it changed. Nope still gray. Something seemed wrong about fighting the women you're destined to love.
Even if they were soulmates they were enemies first. They attached each other but both soldiers couldn't help but get distracted. The bright colors that surrounded them, the overwhelming feeling of the world looking so different.
The colors were the only destination. There was something alluring about the elf. Every part of Amaya felt that this was wrong. It felt traitorous to feel that way.
When their fight ended Janai wandered around, taking in the sights of the world.
Amaya wasn't going to tell anyone. But when she arrived at the base and saw Gren she couldn't help but smile. He looked good in color. His hair was definitely not what she had been expecting. It was like a lighter version of the lava.
'What are you so smiley about?' Gren signed.
'Just happy to see you' she replied.
Gren smiled. That was sweet.
Amaya's smile slowly faded. She didn't want to lie. Gren was her closest friend, she should tell him. He was unwavering in his optimism, he'd find the positive.
Then she looked at him. She had to come to terms with it first. She couldn't tell Gren, at least not yet.
For the next few days Amaya wondered about the elven stranger. She was a good fighter, strong, beautiful, and dangerous.
When night fell that day, the general rode up to the breach. She knew it wasn't a good idea but, she had to know. When she got off her horse, she went to where the two had met.
And she wasn't the only one there. The elf sat near the edge of the path. She looked gorgeous. It pained Amaya, finding beauty in Xadia. She hated it, she hated her self for it.
Then the elf stood. Amaya waved. The soldier looked at her, "what are you doing here?" She asked.
'Looking for you' she signed.
"What?"
Grabbing a piece of paper, a feather, and an ink well, Amaya questers to the ground. Unsure the elf walked over and sat down. Then the human did.
Amaya grabbed the feather gently and wrote, 'Im deaf.'
The elf looked at her and reached her hand out for the pen. She took it and dipped it in the ink. 'Okay'.
Amaya took it back. 'So, you're my soulmate?'
'And you're mine?'
They looked at each other.
"This alone is treason." The elf sighed.
'It is' Amaya wrote. 'What's your name?'
The elf grabbed the feather carefully, 'Janai.'
'Im Amaya.'
"Amaya" Janai said. It sounded right, saying her name. She hated it in the best way she could.
Maybe this would be okay. Everything had to be okay. Fate wouldn't be so cruel as to connect them only to have it be impossible to love each other right?
'Do you like color?' Amaya wrote.
The two's hands touched as they exchanged the feather. 'I do, do you?'
'I do. Got a favorite?'
"I'm not sure what it's called but-' then she pointed to a color on her armor.
'Yellow?'
"How do you know?"
'My sister used to tell what the colors looked like. She said it was bright and lively; the color of the sun.'
'Oh, you have a sister?'
Amaya nodded sadly. She grabbed the pen and dipped it into the ink. 'She's dead.'
"Oh, I'm so sorry."
Amaya didn't say anything.
Janai grabbed the pen softly, 'What's your favorite color?'
She pointed at the color of her armor, 'blue.'
"How did she describe blue?"
'The color of the sky and of the ocean but also sadness.'
Janai tried to look at the sky but clouds blocked her way. They stayed over the breach, making the area darker than the rest of the land around it.
'If you want we can take a walk? I can tell you what color some things are. If I'm right anyway.'
Janai looked unsure, "to do that we'd need to leave the breach."
'Then I'll follow you'
"Are you sure?"
Amaya nodded. She stood up and extended her hand out for Janai.
Janai led the way. It was the first time in nine years that Amaya had been in Xadia. It felt different being there just to talk instead of going to kill.
Deep down she knew this wouldn't be the last time she'd be in Xadia to see Janai and the more she thought about it, the more she was okay with it. Fate would have brought them together for a reason and maybe that reason was simply to love each other.
AI-less Whumptober Day 2: Exhausted
Fandom: The Dragon Prince
Summary: Ezren and Callum are exhausted.
'King Ezren do this, King Ezren do that.' Ezren was starting to get tired of it all. He loved helping the kingdom and it's people but he was only an child. A child going to bed long after his bed time.
The child walked into the thrown room. It had only been a few hours since he had last been there. Opilei welcomed him as he sleepily sat down on the throne.
Ezren was tired. There was so much to do and so little time. He still didn't understand everything he needed to do and it had been two years since he'd become king.
It had been two years since he had been able to really sleep. He never really felt like a kid anymore. Ezren felt more like a young adult. Between being a piece keeper, a king, and a therapist l; trying his best to fix his family's problems, he really needed a break.
"King Ezren, it's time for your meeting with Queen Janai" Opeli spoke.
The child nodded. Janai had made the decision to come to Katolis even though Ezren had offered to go to her kingdom instead. He figured Amaya had wanted to come visit so the two came instead.
Peace was setting. It was hard work, but good. After his meeting with Queen Janai he had paperwork to do then he needed to approve of a few things to do with the schools of the kingdom. After that was a few royal errands, then lunch with Callum.
Callum was the only one who really understood the struggles that Ezren was going through. He was tired too. They helped each other and held each other close.
After everything they really only had each other. The only blood family they had was each other and Amaya and Amaya's life was no longer in Katolis.
'She must be tired too' Ezren thought. Peace isn't easy to keep. Amaya and Janai were making history just by being together.
Queen Janai walked in. General Amaya and Commander Gren followed. Some guards stopped outside. The meeting lasted an hour. They talked about Katolis's aid in rebuilding and about defence.
At lunch Ezren practically collapsed into Callum's arms. He was exhausted and overwhelmed. "It's a lot, Callum."
"I know Ez. It's going to be okay."
And Callum held him. He held him until he fell asleep. He rocked him back and forth gently in the chair they rested in. They sat outside at one of Ezren's favorite restaurants, clouds coming in.
They were exhausted. A teenager and a tween held two of the top ranks of a kingdom. The kingdom that their father used to lead.
Callum stopped rocking. He just held him tight, knowing that this would only help for a while. Holding him here, letting his rest, would set him back on everything he needed to do. But would he do it right being so tired? The mage didn't know.
There was only so much that they could do now. Right now, with the coming rain, Callum wouldn't let go. He would wait for Ezren to wake up and pray that he felt better. Maybe, just maybe he could go back to being exhausted tomorrow.
Whumptober Day 6: Mind Control/Forced to Hurt Someone Else
Fandom: The Dragon Prince
Warning: Violents
Summary: Callum gets possessed by Aarovose on the worst day, his aunt's wedding.
Callum knew there was a reason he told Rayla to kill him if Aaravos took control of him again. He knew that if it were to happen, someone would get hurt. So it should be him.
He thought he would be safe at his aunt's wedding. It was a beautiful outdoor venue and the weather was perfect. Callum was so happy for Amaya and he was so excited to see her happy. The day was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life.
Ezren and Zym spread flowers down the aisle. Rayla sat next to Callum. "I'm sorry I'm late" she whispered.
"It's okay" he responded. He pulled a tiny hand held mirror out of his pocket so that she should finish her hair.
"You're the best." She tied two braids together and put them in a bun. She gave his a thumbs up when she was done.
Katolis's wedding march started to play. Soren had learned to play piano while Corvus played the Violin. They sounded good together.
Amaya appeared in the doorway and everyone stood. Gren walked with her. He was so excited when she asked him to walk her down the aisle. Her dress was white with blue accents. It was long but not overly flowy. She had a crimson orchard in her hair.
Ezren was sitting with Callum and Rayla now. Zym was by the king and so was Bait. Amaya got to the altar and smiled. She looked so excited.
As a Janai appeared a Xadian wedding march was played, orchestrated by a few of her friends. Her dress was in traditional sunfire elf tradition, consisting of mostly reds and oranges. It was floor length and had a black flower lace.
She arrived at the altar, smiling. Gren already looked like he was going to cry. The ceremony started. Rayla awkwardly handed the hand held mirror back to Callum as the vows finished.
He took the mirror, face up and looked down at it so he could put it in his pocket. He didn't trust himself not to drop it while trying to put it away.
A familiar face appeared in the mirror and Callum tried to shove it away. The Startouch elf just had to make his presence known.
"Does anyone object to this marriage?" The priest asked.
"I do." Callum could think straight anymore. He watched his body stand and watched the horror on his aunt Amaya's face as she watched him be the only person to object.
It wasn't Callum's voice that spoke, just his mouth. But how could she know that? Rayla stood quickly, as did Ezren. Soren jumped out of his seat. Corvus, confused, stood with him.
"Aaravos" Rayla grimaced.
Amaya looked at her wife then at Gren. 'What's going on?' She signed.
"I don't think that's Callum." Gren looked back at the scene in front of them.
Callum's body moved from where it stood and into the aisle. He smiled as he raised a hand up to fight. "Fulminis." Aaravos detected the attack at the altar.
As lightning shot from his fingers, Amaya grabbed Janai and got them both out of the way. Gren moved off to the side and went to make sure that both brides were alright.
Callum couldn't stop himself from being used as a tool for the awful man. He tried as hard as he could. It felt so surreal. He was conscious of everything that he was doing but couldn't stop it. He could do nothing but watch as his body and his magic tore apart the people he loved.
All he could do was try to fight and hope Rayla remembered what they talked about. The mage knew he would rather die right here, right now, then be a danger to the people he loved.
"Callum!" Ezren yelled, "come on, fight it! You can beat him!"
Aaravos pulled the puppet strings. He brought Callum's body closer to his brother and grabbed him by the neck. He pulled him up and threw him to the ground. The little boy staggered standing up.
'No' Callum thought. 'This can't be happening.'
Soren grabbed his sword from his side and drew it. He hated the thought that he may have to hurt Callum but he knew that if it came down to it, he'd rather it be that way.
Everyone was confused. "What's happening to him?" Gren translated for Amaya.
"He's possessed!" Rayla answered.
"By?!" Janai asked as she went to grab her and Amaya's swords. Two had been made; a sunforge blade for Amaya and a blade carefully crafted by the king's most trusted swordsmiths. Gren started to help people get away from the venue. It was the best thing he could do since he carried no weapon.
"Aaravos! He's a Startouch elf!" Janai's blood ran cold. She already knew what it was like to lose people to him, she didn't want Amaya to as well.
"Callum!" Callum could hear Soren call out for him but he couldn't answer. He tried but all it seemed he could do was try. Was it ever going to be enough? Trying?
Soren handed Corvus his sword quickly. He tried to run up to Callum but Rayla stopped him. "Whatever you're going to do, don't."
He pulled away from her anyway and went up to Aaravos. Curious, the Startouch elf let it slide. Soren grabbed the shoulders of the boy and looked into his eyes. "You're one of the strongest people I've ever met, if anyone can stop him it's you, Callum. I believe in yo-" Aaravos had heard enough.
He grabbed Soren's neck harshly. "It's sweet, what you're trying to do" he chuckled. "It's too bad really, you won't survive long enough to see if it works."
From behind Amaya grabbed Callum and tried to pull him off of the knight. At the same time Rayla pulled Soren away. Scratches were left on the man's neck.
No one wanted to hurt Callum. It felt wrong, not going to fight the threat but the threat was, well in Callum's body. At the moment all they wanted was to get him free of Aaravos's control. They knew he was hurting.
The elf struggled against Amaya. He kicked at her and scratched her. His heal cought part of her dress and the end ripped some. Swinging his leg around the general's he tripped her. It took them both down but from there he got away from her.
Angry at her for stopping him from killing the useless golden boy, he stomped on her knee. "Let's see if that slows you down." Janai came over to her. She raised her sword towards Aaravos, wishing that hurting him didn't mean hurting Callum.
She struck quickly. Aaravos moved back, only taking a slash to the arm. He chuckled, "Fulminis." The lightning course through her body and she fell to the ground. Amaya checked on Janai and as he went to kill the two Corvus stepped in.
Aaravos walked to Corvus. The tracker held Soren's sword tight, frightened by the thought of what he may have to do.
"I'll take that." The elf went to kick Corvus but he moved. He attempted to fight him, to grab the sword so he could do some real damage; but the man was able to keep it away from him.
So when Rayla came up behind him, he decided that her weapon was good enough. She didn't expect him to grab it out of her hands.
Callum always had a pretty smile. Today, it was creepy, almost crazy. He took the knife and faced Corvus again. He stabbed him in the side.
Corvus cried out in pain. As the knife was pulled from his body he fell to the ground. Soren, who had been informing Gren of what was going on, rushed to his side. "It's alright, it's okay" he whispered.
The tears falling from Callum's eyes became more frequent. He had to stop him. Corvus was important to him, he couldn't just let Aaravos kill him. He had to do something.
Soren's words hurt. He knew the two were close but it only hit him now just how close they were. The knight had pulled him into his lap. He ran his hands over his head and tried to keep him calm. His other hand put pressure on the wound.
Rayla grabbed Callum. She pulled him away from the two and got ready to fight. Aaravos didn't mind having to wait. He attacked Rayla, paying no attention to the danger that his vessel might be in. He pushed her away and slammed him foot into her stomach. She cried out and slipped on a flower.
Bait tried to reach Callum. He approached him and shown a bright yellow. Aaravos kicked him off to the side.
Ezren ran up to Bait. He was joined by Zym. He made sure he was okay. As Aaravos walked towards Rayla, he stepeed in. He looked fearless as he stood in front of his brother's body. "Callum! I know you're there!"
He held Rayla 's knife and stepped closer to Ezren. As his arm rose to take the boy's life, Callum collapsed. His brother caught him and placed him on the ground.
He had finally broken free of Aaravos's control. After what felt like an eternity he sat up and looked around. Corvus had been stabbed, Janai shocked, Amaya had a broken leg, Ezren looked like he was in pain, Bait was still laying on the ground, Soren's neck looked awful, and Rayla was just now getting up. What had he done?
The king opened his arms, inviting Callum to hug him. The mage leaned into his brother and started crying harder then before. He apologized over and over and Ezren kept trying to tell him it wasn't his fault
Gren returned with a doctor. He looked at the sight in front of him. "Oh boy" he whispered. At least no one was dead.
This would be a wedding to remember.
AI-less Whumptober Day 6: "It Should Have Been Me."
Fandom: The Dragon Prince
Warning: Character Death
Summary: Runaan goes on a job. A young girl gets caught in the crossfire.
Ethari did have a good feeling when Runaan left for him next job. He had put Rayla to bed and had made a cup of tea. He sat on a chair in the living room for most of the night. As the sky started to lighten, he started to pace.
It was almost morning when Runaan returned home. Ethari was on his fourth cup of tea, using the same tea leaves, when the door opened. He was going to greet him, but the elf had already made his way to the room.
The assassin slammed his bow down onto the ground. He quietly yelled in frustration and started to walk around the room. He jumped when he saw Eathari.
"Are you okay?" Ethari walked over to him.
Runaan opened his mouth to speak but couldn't. He instead collapsed onto his lover's arms. He cried into his shoulder.
All Ethari could do was hold him. He hoped Rayla would wake up late. All any of them needed was to add her into the equation.
"It should have been me."
"What?" His voice shook as he spoke.
"It should have been me. I should be the one we have to bury!"
"Runaan, please don't talk like that. What happened?"
He didn't answer. Instead he muttered the words again.
"Runaan, talk to me." Ethari was trying not to cry. Sure, Runaan had come back to him hurt and unstable, but this was new.
The assassin pulled back, out of the craftsmen's comforting arms. He looked at his own and apologized. "I forgot about the-" his voice broke.
"Darling it's just clothes. Please, let me take a look at you. Are you hurt?"
"It's- not, mine."
"It's going to be okay. Let's get you cleaned up." Ethari stood and offered a hand out. When Runaan didn't move the craftsmen informed him that he'll be right back.
He brought back a damp rag. "Here, give me your hands." He took Runaan's shaky hands and gently scrubbed them. The man was still trembling and tears were still falling from his eyes.
Ethari wanted to take away his pain. He looked into his eyes and softly asked, "what happened love?"
"There was this, this young girl. You get them Rayla."
Ethari's heart sunk. That's why Runaan was so distressed.
"She had" he paused "She came out of nowhere. I didn't, have time. The leader had aimed at me. He missed and" the words became sobs again as Runaan tried to explain. "I should have been me."
"It's going to be okay." Light had begun to fill the room. It wouldn't be long before Rayla would wake up. "Breathe. Let's go to our room okay?"
Runaan just grabbed him. He wrapped his arms around him tightly and didn't move. A door creeped open. Ethari listened to the footsteps as he tried to calm his husband. He didn't want Rayla to see Runaan like this, for both of their sakes.
The footsteps got quieter and the door closed gently.
Slowly, Runaan recovered. He laid on Ethari's chest, asleep. The man sat against the couch, trying to figure out how he was going to get circulation back in his leg.
Rayla decided it should be okay to come out of her room. She shut her door silently and walked the hallway without revealing she was there. She came into the living room and looked at the two of them.
Ethari had his head on the couch, even though it was uncomfortable. His arms were around his lover and Runaan's were around him. "Is everything okay?"
"It will be."
"What happened? Is he okay?"
Ethari paused. "He, just had a rough night."
"How rough because he was crying pretty hard earlier."
"Very. He'll be okay. He might be off for a while but it'll be okay."
"Okay. Are you okay? You look tired."
"Yeah, I'm okay."
Rayla seemed satisfied with that answer. She walked into the kitchen and returned with breakfast and a hot tea with just the right amount of sugar for Ethari. He smiled as she entered the room. "Thank you Rayla."
She just smiled and handed the cup to him. "Can you bring me a damp cloth?" He asked.
"Yeah" she whispered. After moment she came back to the room and handed it to him. "Here."
"Thank you." He took bits of Runaan's hair into his hands and gently pressed the cloth against it to get buts of dried blood out of it.
Rayla sat down near him with her legs crossed, "he'll be okay."
"I know. Are you okay? This can be a lot to deal with."
"Yeah I'm okay."
"Okay."
The room filled with silence. Eventually Rayla fell asleep and Ethari was alone again. What could he do about this? Nothing he could say or do would ever convince Runaan that it wasn't his fault. So he just had to be there, be a shoulder to lean on, be a chest to sleep on, and be arms that he could feel safe and loved in.
Ethari took a deep breath then took a sip of his tea. He had a long way to go and the road would not make it easy. But no matter what, he would make sure Runaan made it through the rocks and breyers. Even if it meant holding his hand and walking through it with him.
AI-less Whumptober Day 10: Mouth Stitched Shut (Alt Prompt 21)
Fandom: The Dragon Prince
Summary: Finnergrin gets tired of Callum trying to use magic to kill him, so he takes it into his own hands.
"Fulminis!" Callum shouted. He aimed the attack at Finnergrin. A strong hand grabbed his wrist and the lightning shot up towards the sky. Then the world went dark.
When Callum woke up he looked around. He was back under the deck of the Sea Legs. "Great" he mumbled.
Finnergrin removed his feet from his desk and started to walk over to him. "That was quite the show you put on." He pulled something out of his pocket. It was a small box with a gold trim. "As much as I would like to see that again, I think this will be for the better."
Callum fought against his chains as Finnergrin opened the box. Whatever was in it was clearly not a good thing. He was surprised when he pulled out a needle.
"What's that for?" Callum almost wanted to laugh but he knew he'd regret it if he did.
"This is a needle. In this box I have stitches. If you can't talk, you're no threat." Yep, not funny.
Callum tried to fight back. He pulled against his chains until his wrists burned. A crew member was instructed to come down to hold the mage in place.
Finnergrin kneeled on Callum's legs. He loomed over him. He took the needle and the crew member snapped his head into place. "please don't do this! I'll give you the spell!" Callum shook.
"The time for that has passed my boy. You reap what you sow." The boy tried to raise his legs. He tried to pull his body forward. When he ran out of options he tried to use magic.
Before he got the chance to open his mouth, Finnergrin had already grabbed his bottom lip and was about to make the first stitch.
The silver needle met with Callum's pail skin. It glided through his flesh. His eyes water both out of fear and pain.
He never stopped fighting. As the needle went through his skin, he kept trying to escape. Tears fell from his eyes but they never softened. Hate and anger and a hit of fear was the only story they told. He tried to open his mouth but Finnergrin moved his other hand to hold his jaw.
The stitches glided though his skin. They silenced him. Callum didn't like being silenced. It hurt sure but that would be temporary. This, this could be permanent. He had no intent of letting it be.
When Finnergrin finished the last stitch he chuckled. "I admire your determination. He grabbed a rag from his desk and dipped it in some water.
The mage noticed the taste of blood for the time. The only thing he could do was swallow it. Callum started to wonder what was next. He couldn't eat, he couldn't drink. At least not yet. He wouldn't let this be what took him down. He still needed to take down Aaravos, bring Rayla's parents back, and see Ezren grow up.
Finnergrin put the rage on Callum's face and held it there for a moment. He took it away and looked at the crewmate. "Take him to see his friends."
The crewmate unchained him from the poll and took him above deck. Callum stood angerly. His shoulders never dropped. His eyes were still filled with anger. Being angry felt easier than being scared.
"Callum!" Ezren screamed.
"What did you do to him?!" Rayla yelled, trying to go to him.
"Are you okay?" Soren asked, trying to remain calm.
Callum nodded. When he tried to say he was fine, he felt the stitches tug. "What's happen'?" Velads asked.
"Callum's mouth has been sawn shut" Soren told him.
"Well, that's a problem."
"No, it thought it was fine!" Rayla scowled.
Callum tried to stop them. Ezren saw and calmed them down. Mostly.
"It's going to be okay." Soren looked at the others. "He's going to be okay."
No one knew what to do. Finnergrin came back from below deck and smiled. "Like my hand work?"
"Why you little-" Rayla started before looking over at Ezren and chuckling nervously.
Callum tried to walk over to his family. He couldn't reach them. It was starting to get dark. If they didn't find a way out Aaravos would be released and everything they love would be thrown into chaos. But what could they do? They had to think fast. Time never seemed to be on their side.
Part 2: _____
Merry Whumpmas Day 5: Poison
Fandom: The Dragon Prince
Summary: Runaan leaves a poison on the table as he goes to grab something before leaving not knowing anyone was home. Ethari comes out of his workshop and decides he wants a drink.
Assassins are careful. But sometimes being careful isn't enough. Sometimes you need to make sure your husband isn't home when you leave your poison next to his glass. The color of the liquids were that different.
Ethari walked out of his workshop to realize he had forgotten his drink on the table. Runaan had almost forgotten his small knife he kept on him just in case.
As he walked out to the dinning room where he had left his supplies, he paused for a moment. "I didn't know you were home."
"Oh, I was in my workshop. Are you about to head out love?" Ethari asked as he set down his glass.
Runaan looked at the glass. He looked at the one next to it and froze. His eyes locked on the two glasses as he realized that his husband had grabbed the wrong glass.
"Ethari, sit down." He pulled out a chair at the table and pushed him into it.
"Is everything okay?" the man asked.
"No. You grabbed the wrong glass."
Runaan's heart sank as he watched Ethari realize what had happened.
"It's okay. Go get the antidote. I'll be fine here."
The elf ran back to his closet. He had moved everything there when Rayla moved in. He tore it apart trying to find it.
In the other room, Ethari started to feel the effects of the poison. He tried to stand to go help Runaan and to maybe help him calm down. He got a few feet before he collapsed. His breathing speed slightly as he sat against the table.
A crash came from their room. Runaan pulled away from the object that fell. He looked at his shaking hand to see blood coming out of a large cut. He shook it off and looked back to the closet.
Rayla hadn't moved in all that long ago and he hadn't had a chance to really organize everything yet. She took up a lot more time then Runaan had realized she would. He didn't mind most of the time but right now he almost resented taking her in.
But even then he knew it wasn't her fault. As he grabbed for a vile at the top of the shelf, he thought about how he knew better then to leave something as deadly as poison on the table. He knew better then to assume it would be okay.
The vile came into his grasp and he looked at the label on the bottom. He had found what he needed.
Ethari couldn't see straight. He had a terrible headache and everything felt off center. Even though he knew he was staying still, everything felt like it was moving. The worst part was feeling tired. He felt so tired.
When Runaan came into the room, Ethari hadn't noticed at first. He only saw him when he was a few feet in front of him.
"Love?" He asked.
"Drink this." Runaan put the small vile against Ethari's lips and tipped it some. The elf tried to take the glass but Runaan didn't let him.
Slowly he started to recover. While he still couldn't see straight or think very well, Ethari took his husband's injured hand into his own. He looked at his, swaying and tried to get him to take care of it.
At first Runaan didn't understand but slowly he got the point and grabbed a nearby towel and pressed it against his hand. "Is that better?"
Ethari smiled. Runaan grabbed him and laid him down on the couch. He grabbed the trash can and put it next to them and held Ethari's hair when he threw up. He pulled the other back into the couch when he almost fell off.
Another assassin walked into their home. He didn't even knock. He looked at Runaan confused. "Everything okay? You were supposed to meet up like thirty minutes ago."
"I'm going to be late. If the time comes and you must leave, I will catch up."
"Okay?" The elf sounded skeptical as he started to walk away.
"Can you, find Rayla for me? Take her the coins on the counter and tell her to grab some bread from the market."
"Don't want her home yet?" He asked.
"Not yet."
The assassin grabbed the coins and headed for the door. "I'll keep her distracted."
"Thank you." Runaan looked back at the man in front of him. He sighed. This had never happened before. Normally he was more careful than that. He never should have left such a strong poison on the table.
It was yours before Ethari came close to recovering. The assassin had done as he said he and had kept Rayla away from the home.
"I'm so sorry" Runaan began. "I never should have left poison on the table. I was just going to grab something."
"It's okay." Ethari spoke slowly and softly. "I probably should have looked."
"No this is my fault. How are you feeling?"
"Better then before."
"Good."
"You need to go right?"
"I can stay."
"No, you go ahead. I'll be okay."
It took awhile before Runaan finally agreed to leave. He left the trash can by his side and bright Ethari a glass of water.
"I'll be home soon. I love you." He kissed Ethari's forehead and made his way to the door.
"I love you too dear." Ethari laid back down on the couch. He grabbed the glass of water and took a sip of it. Then he set it back on the table and grabbed the book that was there. Taking the blanket into his hands, he pulled it over him and opened the book. At least he had a reason to read now.
Something else that should be noted about Ezran is that this kid has a very solid foreign policy. In that he has the respect of just about all the archdragons. Kid was even able to convince just about all dragons to help stop Aaravos from returning. This is pretty impressive since for nearly all of dragon's history they have hated and looked down at humans. And on top of all of that Ezran gives great speeches on breaking the cycle of generational war!

Ezran:
Ezran is the king of katolis who took over the title after the death of his father king harrow. Although Ezran is a young boy he is a kind and compassionate king who is willing to step down as king if it means saving the lives of his people. He had also brought about a new Era of peace between humans and the kingdom of xadia being close friends with the dragon prince zym.
Kaguragi:
Mr. Gaslight gatekeep girlboss. He lies with every other breath to keep his kingdom safe. His insert song slaps (granted all the rulers' songs slap) and it plays when he reveals how he's been pulling an elaborate con and also when he was making really good food with his sister.
RAHH DRAGON PRINCE SEASON 6 COMING OUT ON MY BIRTHDAY
Soren and Corvus are the golden retriever and black cat dynamic ascended to its purest form.

Yes, Rayllum is as beautiful as it is powerful but have ya’ll ever been emotionally cheating on this ship to envision the interesting and ultimately tragic dynamic that is the childhood friends to almost-lovers to enemies Claudium? No? Just me then? Alrighty.
Here’s a very roughly doodled outcome in which Claudia might be too far gone and Callum can only watch helplessly as the girl he once loved destroys herself. A worst case scenario like that is maybe cliche, yes. But I am intrigued anyways..

Watched season one of the Dragon Prince on Netflix :D Had to do fanart of the kick-ass sarcastic moonshadow elf Rayla XD Now I’m really hoping they get a season two
