I feel like a lot of pagans and witches lack self-discipline. (Rant thingy)

Disclaimer: this is NOT in any way a personal attack on anyone. This is all just my opinion.

So i feel like there is a small lack of discipline in the pagan community especially. But also to non-secular witches and magicians who do deity work. However you wanna call yourself 😅

Let's get this straight...

GODS LOVE YOU

GODS SUPPORT YOU, NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE: whether you are from the culture they are from, or not, whether you have lighter or darker skin, whether you worship other pantheons or not, whether you are cishet or LGBT+, disabled or neurodivergent

GODS WILL LOVE YOUR EVERY OFFERING, NO MATTER HOW SMALL IT SEEMS TO YOU...

And most importantly, they will adapt to you, and they understand you are a human being and have bad and good days. Days that you are too tired, too sad, and too depressed to worship. They have that in mind.

But gods CAN AND WILL call you out if you are generally disrespectful, call them bad names , too lazy to do anything for them all the time even if you have energy and motivation.

They WILL indeed be... Sad to see you are using their patience, their kindness, to lie to them, and to not give them at least the minimum devotion you can give.

They won't punish you, to say, generally, they won't be angry, generally. But please, don't use their patience and support for you too much.

It's easiest to say "gods will love me regardless". But do YOU love gods regardless? Are you willing to give all you can give even when that is a simple prayer before going to bed?

Hello!! If it's alright I want to ask for some help with my own deity identification spread, I originally wanted to find just who my soul parent is but I ended up getting a card that I didn't know the meaning to. TT

But anyway the cards I got for mine are:

1. Two of pentacles

2. The emperor

3. Death

4. Nine of swords

5. Two of swords

6. The empress

7. King of swords

9. Five of pentacles

My initial guess was a norse deity but now I have a feeling it's actually egyptian but if you'd think it's none of those please be my guest. (I'm really really confused)

It seems like this deity has two domains/aspects that are very different. They have a very duality-like nature. When working with them, they will give you the best possible results, but sometimes it's not in the way you think. Considering the Emperor and Death card, it seems like this deity is masculine, a god. They rule over either death or some type of transformation / change. This deity seems to have a traditionally negative domain, that is often seen as taboo for us humans: death, nightmares, afterlife, dark energy and such! But they also have some "lighter" aspects that are often overlooked.

They also seem to have a feminine aspect of energy. Perhaps that feminine aspect is their consort???

Other than that, they are very fatherly, probably a very important, major god, and a chthonic god.

For the last card, i believe that this could mean that he is believed to bring bad things: poverty, drought, illness, etc! By the people who worshipped him!

Now, I don't know anything about norse polytheism. But i can help you with Egyptian and some other pantheons: Osiris, Thanatos, Hades, Anubis, Pluto, Veles, Chernobog, etc!

Post a picture of you alongside your deity! You can post a moodboard, statue, art of the deity, whatever floats your boat, my dude!

Tag the post with #devotee and deity so participating people can find the trend easily!

Don’t you people start judging each other. This is meant to be a fun little online activity to honor our deities! People don’t have to look like their deities to worship them, of course… I just find that a lot of times people give off the same energy as their deity and I think that’s so cool.
