about a month ago, hermes appeared in my dreams and told me something along the lines of "Hmmm, yes, you're a child of mine"

i think about that every day and i wonder if i missed the chance to connect with him

(i dont think he meant it literally lol, i'm not delulu like that)

Oh! I see! Well, i doubt that he just forgot about you or something if he called you that!

I think deities are very understanding, and especially Hermes! You absolutely didn't miss the chance and you should try to reach out to him if you feel called to! Even if you don't wish to have a connection with him, i would personally advise you to use whatever divination method or communication method you prefer, and talk to him! As he probably has something valuable to say , even if you don't choose to have a relationship!

Hey hi hello I’d love to know more about the Zeus you worship compared to how he is portrayed in myths (if you are willing to share!)

I got a few asks regarding Zeus in my inbox, so take this as a reply to all of them :")

I worshipped Zeus for a while before becoming a slavic pagan. And i really feel like I am connected to his fatherly aspect the most.

In myths, you may not see Zeus' fatherly aspect a lot. But in fact, when you look into history and etymology blablabla.. you will see that Zeus is connected to the Proto Indo European god Dyeus Pater. Aka Sky Father. And at that time i was really nerdy about the P.I.E pantheon of gods 😭😂 so i kinda incorporated that aspect of Dyeus Pater into Zeus, and adapted it.

But enough about that! What i wanted to say is, i remember Zeus being very protective, fatherly etc!

So that's the aspect of Zeus i wish more people saw... The kind, overprotective, strong and fatherly aspect. If people just gave him a chance instead of being judgemental, they would most likely see it! <3

What our Temple is , and is NOT.

Hi guys! I already saw some people being critical to the digital temples of Tumblr. So i thought i should share some info on what you should consider when interacting with Temple of Perunika.

I AM:

An ordinary person, a worshipper, a person who takes my worship seriously, but has her own informal moments. A person who wants to educate as much as i can. A person who loves her gods, and wants to share my experiences with others.

I AM NOT:

A know-it-all professional. I have been researching slavic paganism since i was a young kid, and practiced it since i was 12 or 13. I'm knowledgeable, but I don't know everything. I am not equal to the gods. I am not a real life priest in a christian or muslim sense. I am not above you, or an authority figure. I am not a REAL LIFE TEMPLE OWNER. I do not have my institute, my physical temple, and my community. I am not a medium. Not the slavic pagan version of Pope.

How you should interact:

Respect me as a human, not as a smart, know-it-all wizard who is old and full of wisdom.

Ask me respectful questions: about how i see gods, about their history and mythology. About slavic culture, myth, folklore etc!

Please, i know other people who have digital temples expect people to see them as actual priests. But just because i have a Tumblr blog that has the word "Temple" in it. It doesn't mean that i am supposed to know everything.

I want to remind you all that this is Tumblr after all. I do take my blog seriously, but i acknowledge that this is just a blog.

An issue i have with pagan side of Tumblr...

In order to actually get likes and reblogs i need to start my blog with "daily/friendly reminder" "hot take" or just make a rant about pagan tiktok. You will only get comments and likes when you make a discourse post or a "gods love you" post for the 100th time this week.

Don't get me wrong, it's not all about likes. But sometimes i feel like i am talking to a wall 😭. It's exhausting to see that Tumblr is becoming like TikTok: you only catch people's short span of attention by validating people's feelings about things that are normal. Like taking a break from worship and practice.

I JUST WANT TO HAVE ACTUAL DEEP, MEANINGFUL CONVERSATION ABOUT PAGANISM ON TUMBLR.

Maybe i am just new and don't understand stuff , i only joined last year... And people will come to me in the comments saying "bruh what did you expect this is a fandom space!" But all i want is to stop this repetitive wave of posts about discourse and toxic positivity.
