The Aphrodite and Hephaestus marriage tale is pretty interesting to analyze.

From Aphrodite’s perspective it’s about women being stripped of their bodily autonomy and freedom of choice through marriage. Also about how patriarchal societies punish sexually liberated women while simultaneously exploiting them for sexual gratification.

From Hephaestus side it’s about the rejection disabled people face. He was chosen as Aphrodite’s husband as a way of punishing her, meaning his company is considered a punishment. No matter how much he tried, his love and company would never be enough. When she cheats on him with Ares, he is reminded of how he is seen as an undesirable subhuman (subgod?). Plus the Olympian’s literary only welcomed him because he made useful weapons.

I ditched my “friends” for ignoring and excluding me for over a year and now I’m sharing a room in my last school trip with a group of girls I barely know.

Although stressing due to autism, it’s always interesting to meet other people, because their world vision can be way different from yours.

Basically these girls were talking about first kisses, personally I don’t care a lot about that (and never kissed anyone), but they were talking about it as if it was the most important thing in the world.

One of them started to get sad because she never kissed anyone and then asked if she can even find another wlw girl in our school.

I was there thinking like, you already found one I’m here, but I think I’m too far into the asexual spectrum for you to find me interesting.
