When Regis first regenerated enough thanks to Dettlaff's help he only talked about Geralt. After a while the dark haired vampire spent all of his free time searching for the white haired witcher for Regis.

Geralt had always hated fighting sentient beings, even more so vampires, and it was more so after he met Regis. A few years after Regis died he felt like he was being stalked by vampires, they seemed to appear whenever he was. Thankfully none of them had contracts on their heads yet.

Geralt was kidnapped by a vampire once, he had been drunk, and rather injured. He didn't even have the energy to raise his sword when one picked him up. He fell asleep before waking up in an unknown place.

Dettlaff felt no guilt for kidnapping Geralt, it would make his brother happy to see the witcher. Geralt was Regis's mate after all and Dettlaff would do anything to make his brother happy.

Vampires fall in love instantly, deeply. Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy was no exception to this. He knew he was in trouble the moment his eyes locked onto golden cat eyes of a witcher. He didn't even know this man's name! They were natural enemies.

Late at night traveling together Regis couldn't help but think of their first meeting. Golden cat eyes looking at him warily and Regis finding himself suddenly in love. As he learned more about the witcher, Geralt, he found that he was someone he could easily love.

Many don't believe in love at first sight. Vampires don't either, not really. They love instantly or not at all because their instincts know.
