Hout Bay (Afrikaans: Houtbaai Or "Wood Bay") Is A Seaside Suburb Of Cape Town In The Western Cape Province

Hout Bay (Afrikaans: Houtbaai or "Wood Bay") is a seaside suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is situated in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula, twenty kilometres south of the Central Business District. The name "Hout Bay" can refer to the suburb, the bay on which it is situated or the entire valley. The area was originally made up of two farms, which were slowly subdivided to make way for urban expansion.

Kruger Shalati is a unique boutique hotel. Thirteen luxury train coaches for accommodation will be stationed permanently on the historical railway bridge adjacent to the Skukuza Rest Camp. It is expected to appeal to the more discerning travellers who seek an exclusive sunrise view while they’re sipping morning coffee or soaking in a luxurious bath overlooking the Sabie River to the east of Skukuza. The concession precinct also includes the revamped Kruger Station (previously the Selati Grillhouse), comprising a modern and artisanal food experience on the vast station platform where the original SA Railway Class 24 steam locomotive takes centre stage. This area is open to all visitors to Skukuza to enjoy a meal or a drink. The old train coach coupled to the locomotive is a private dining area that can seat 16 guests. The coach can be booked for special occasions or celebrations, while restaurant 3638, named so after the locomotive, is a 95-seater casual-fine dining experience that should be experienced at least once during a Kruger visit. The station space, which also includes a deli, coffee café, wood-fired pizza and a relaxing atmosphere around the open-air bar, is inviting and open to any and all Kruger Park guests.

Der Bahnhofsbereich, der auch ein Feinkostgeschäft, ein Café und eine Holzofenpizzeria in entspannter Atmosphäre, rund um die Open-Air-Bar umfasst, ist einladend und offen für alle Krüger Park-Gäste.

The Graskop Gorge Lift is the first of its kind in South Africa and offers the perfect point to stop off along the Panorama Route. A glass-bottomed elevator takes visitors 51 metres down the side of a cliff into the Afromontane forest of the gorge below. At the top of the cliff, a restaurant, craft market and small collection of shops offer refreshment and retail opportunities at the Lift Co Lifestyle Centre. Once in the gorge, 600 metres of elevated walkways provide a path from which to explore the forest and its vast array of flora and fauna.
