what happened that friday was honestly inevitable, blamore thought, as the days passed and they both seemed to be spending increasingly more time together; but it just hoped that it wouldn't happen anytime soon. however, life always had a funny way of throwing curveballs at the creature at whatever opportunities it could, and this seemed to be one of those times. it all started with blamore waking up that morning next to elizabeth only to discover it was in pain. pins and needles traveled up from the bottom of his spine to the collarbones he had jutting out of its skin.

the shooting pain that followed this just made matters worse. for, it forced blamore to try to sit up through the pain to go to the bathroom. this was because he remembered that nico, his doctor, had left him something to treat his nerve pain in situations like this — though it had made the rather unwise decision in hindsight to keep it stored in there. blamore, at this point, was trying to keep things quiet so elizabeth could still sleep but it was not an easy task. thus... whenever blamore felt another sharp pain course through the left side of his body right after the other, a clearly distressed groan left his mouth before he could stop himself.

and that unfortunately seemed to rouse eliza from her rest. their eyes had met for a brief moment, after all, in which blamore had to grip the edge of a nearby fixture just to keep himself standing. it wanted to say something, anything to eliza to explain, but the prickling sensation just got worse as it started to pant; a full-body shudder running through its body before a pair of arms was suddenly sweeping blamore into someplace intimately close to eliza. her lap. at first, he attempted to leave her lap, but his muscles felt like they'd become weaker all of a sudden. so blamore decided to curl up in her arms and dig its head into the crook of her neck to at least try to get more comfortable.
