(seems like he thought they’d be making jokes at his expense/voice feels a little shaky or teary towards the end after he mentions his family/definite sensitivity on these topics for dennis in addressing any of this, and at their unexpected disinterested reactions)

but skipped right to the end because no one asked any questions, but what he prepared to say to end The Gathering as a segue to his range rover relied on them eagerly asking a lot of questions in order to make any sense, oh dennis

And it’s very poignantly sad how Mac says “I don’t.” to Dennis asking if anyone wants to know about his family situation ...Mac had wanted to be a part of it.

can I riff… this time it looks like dennis is slowly starting to accept himself in results of the situations he put himself into and this is objectively not good?
