I started to play with calligraphy today

The situation in Poland is absolutely awful at the moment. Abortion is illigal and pretty much always was but recently the leading party stripped woman from that right even more. What they did is unconstitutional and inhumane. They decided to ban abortions in case of fatal defect of the fetus (for example no brain). They are forcing women to carry and give birth to children that will die shortly after being born in horrible torment. Polish people started the biggest protests in years the motto is "Jebać PiS" (fuck the leading party) and "Wypierdalać" (get the fuck out). Please read more about it.

So, people tend to forget how situation in Poland really looks like when it comes to being a pregnant person and childbirth. Thus let me remind you.

People with uteruses in Poland:

• since today, cannot abort fetus with lethal defects

• cannot get sterilised (while vasectomy is legal)

• have difficulties with getting contraception (and I'm not talking only about pills here)

• often cannot choose how they want their labour to look like. Proper medical care is not a common standard. If your partner isn't there with you, there is a great chance you will be humiliated, mistreated and won't get what you need

• cannot get morning after pill, while in other countries you can get it for free. The only way to get it is to ask strangers on the internet or to pay a lot of money (circa 100-200PLN in total)

• may have difficulties with visiting gynecologist. Not only because you have to wait even 6 month for a visit but also because many people are pressured by their family not to do so, they cannot get a day off of work to go to see the doctor or they live somewhere where there are no gynecologists at all

• should expect that the doctor may deny them abortion or prescribing contraception. In theory if the doctor refuses, they should give the address of another one who will do what's asked for, but in real many don't do that or there isn't anyone else to go to. For example the whole Podkarpackie voivodeship has no gynecologists who didn't signed up the "conscience clause".

Apparently I've had copays building up that I didn't know about for my therapy appointments and I owe them like $400 dollars before I can see my therapist or psychiatrist again. They'll do payment plans but I still can't see anyone until it's paid in full. Also can't get my ADHD meds but that one was a given already and I can deal without them.

I'm essentially split between the decision to pay for therapy and get kicked out of University or pay for my college and pause therapy for an indeterminate amount of time. Either which is like incredibly soul crushing and I'm not sure I could handle it.

If anyone wants to help it's highly appreciated, in the meantime I'm gonna be begging them to make an exception because I am like on the ledge and not okay right now. But yeah. Even if it's just like a couple dollars it adds up and maybe I'd at least be able to get my ADHD meds if nothing else.

This is an island cake I made for my grandma's birthday.

The cake is chocolate and the jelly is mint/ mojito flavored.

I made halloween cookies

My first painting of the OT5. Now that I look at this Sokka seems a bit pale, Suki’s eyes are off. Zuko looks just strange. Mai’s eyes look like she isn’t sober. Ty Lee’s face is so wrong. The sheading is all over the place. I could keep listing more.

It was the most ambitious fanart I ever attempted so all in all it could have been worse.

life hack from art school: instead of saying you cant draw something or that you dont like something about your art, just say the element “wasn’t working”

had to change a pose because it was too difficult to draw? it “didn’t work” compositionally!

feel like something is off about the background? it doesn’t suck, it’s just not working for the piece!

art is all about finding ways to convey an idea or emotion in a VERY subjective way, so thinking about it in terms of “working/not working for this piece” instead of “good/bad” is very helpful for me personally. it’s a small step you can take towards having a healthy outlook on your work!

Firstly, I would like to apologise for the awful photos. (I didn't think I would need better photos and now I can't retake them) This is the first fanart I ever made so be gentle.

I used acrilic paint to paint Zuko on a glass jar. I made it as a gift to my friend and I'm posting it only now because I wanted to make sure he gets it first.

And if anyone's interested about the insides of those jars in the Zuko one are Polish cucumbers "kiszone ogórki" and in the other one is tradition home made plum jam that took over 4h to make.

Hey there frends-

I know a lot of you out there are struggling to acquire binders, and while you’re waiting to get one you might need an alternative. Ace bandages can be pretty hazardous to your health, so I thought I’d share my binding method with you. It came about out of necessity (I’m not in a position where I can buy myself a commercial binder,) but it’s comfortable and works great. I use it everyday and pass so well, at this point I’m not even looking into commercial binders anymore. 

Hope this helps some of you.

Hello friends and enemies,

I have decided to do a masters degree for some fucking reason. Due to these godforsaken circumstances, I am going to be a student again.

Now, based on my experience being an undergrad with my Brain and Misc Issues, I knew that my hubris in pursuing YET MORE EDUCATION would result in having to write a lot of stressful emails, while dealing with a stressful situation.

So, to help myself cope in advance, I’ve decided to write drafts of these emails in advance, so that it’s less agonisingly painful to deal with this shit when it comes up.
