So I ended up playing magic the gathering with my girlfriend and it went like this (will use gf for girlfriend)

Gf: Ok wait so what do these symbols in the top right mean

Me: ok so that’s mana, it’s the cost for cards you want to play. In order to make mana you play lands, lands generate one mana of a specific color, unless they don’t in which you follow the rules of the card

Gf: oh ok! I’m gonna play this card then and then attack you with it!!!

Me: you can’t, your card has summoning sickness

Gf: wassat

So imagine that but for an hour, I love her but I think I need to play more mtg with her lol

He says that with the most New Yorker accent btw

Nico: *yells at Leo in Italian*

Leo: *yells back in Spanish*

Piper: *interrupts them in French*

Will: *says something with his southern accent*

Percy: what the fuck is happening here?

HC: Duke is the sweet gentle kid(tm) until there is drama. He gets ALL over ANY tea when it comes up, and will immediately share the tea with anyone who will listen

Dick loves it

Jason could care less

Tim is too sleep deprived

Steph is his partner in crime

Cass helps get the tea

Barbara is a mix of she loves it, but also doesn’t have time for it

Damien pretends not to care but secretly he enjoys hearing about it

Selina is his second partner in crime

Bruce listens (begrudgingly) (he listens because he loves his kids)

Alfred is constantly laughing at Bruce because of this (he’s the one who gives duke the tea in the first place)

Duke: *sighs*

Stephanie: You bored?

Duke: Yeah.

Stephanie: Wanna start drama for no reason?

Duke: Thought you'd never ask.

Ok so I’m not anti-caleo, but I also agree with the sentiment this post is saying. As someone with a history of low self esteem, depressive episodes, and feeling like the resident weirdo, having a relationship will NOT fix those problems. In fact if you jump headfirst into a relationship while you still have those problems, it will make the problems AND your relationship worse.

You gotta take care of yourself before you can take care of anyone else.
