Thinking of what (maybe) happened to SoS

important note: i do not know the full lore, i may have missed some things here and there so please do correct me if this is entirely false! anyways: i wonder what exactly happened when SoS ascended? like did she just """"die""""" (by that i mean puppet lying on the floor, no systems or machinery working, no nuerons and no more overseers either. just dead. not collapsed, but still dead), did her puppet disappear ?? (highly unlikely tho) or wait or what if like, when she ascended; if you were to send your overseers to her can you'd probably see it completely hollowed out, like no core, no neuron flies, no inspectors, half of the machinery is missing and her puppet is lifelessly lying on the ground, there is no longer that "alive" look in her eyes, rather its as if her puppet got hollowed out too, literally nothing behind those eyes almost everything is gone but the structure still stands, not working, nothing in it, just a shell of what once was. but it still stands no clue how this happened either because there is no sign of damage! there is no sign that someone did something to make this happen, its as if it was always like this, as if everything just disappeared! maybe ascension isn't so good. or maybe i have no clue of what lore XD

hmmmm mainly with the part of what happens next after UI gets the rot! like what will they do?? :0 will they try to hide away like pebbles did in cannon? will they try to do something about it (and make it worse)? will they ask for guidance ???

long ahh RC au post

Alrighty so attempting to write an outline for RC au now, hopefully it doesn’t sound too sleeby deeby cringefail *note: this is the general outline, it doesn’t include any small misc lore details, however misc small lore details will be provided if i am asked about it/ will be necessary for later contextualization of other lore. intro/general notes: -so this au basically started as a question of “what if UI got the rot instead of pebbles” -i am mainly focusing on UI and GW (and trying to come up with lore for these sillies), the rest of the iterators will mainly not change much and will stick to the cannon pre-SpearMaster campaign lore (basically keep the triple affirmative events and related characters mainly the same as cannon, this includes the local group too as to some extent they are involved with trying to research what happened to SoS and how she ascended) -as mentioned in previous note; this au takes place before SpearMaster’s campaign. -a lot of this au is me trying to make lore for UI (and GW too, but mainly UI), so i am not exactly sure if it is close to the tiny hint of cannon lore we see for UI, however if there will be more updates about UI’s cannon lore, then i will rewrite some parts of this au. -also misc note that i do not know where to put anywhere else. I guess in the beginning of the au’s storyline, UI is on good terms with the local group, however does really annoy their local group sometimes. -oh!!! The triple affirmative had JUST been broadcasted, only about 100-500 cycles ago! (also misc note that i do not know where to put)

storyline: -So this kind of begins with UI trying to find something to do, they’re VERY bored, especially now that everyone has basically abandoned all work to go theorize about SoS’s triple affirmative. Honestly they’re not too interested in the triple affirmative themselves, however they do like to find ‘so bad its funny’ theories, best place to go for these is anti-sliverist groups. -Basically off they went being a nosy little prick, saw two iterators exchanging a theory document, secretly intercepted the exchange to check what this document had. Honestly it wasn’t so bad its funny, but it also wasn’t good either. They just went back to work. -Well guess who realized that they had lost access to A THIRD OF THEIR SYSTEMS (of course it was UI smh shouldn’t have been nosy!), after more inspecting they realize it is malware, not the harmful type but probably annoying to deal with. -And annoying to deal with. They had tried multiple ways to get rid of the malware but none of them worked, they resorted to attempting to rewrite the genomes of their neurons to forcefully kick the malware out of their systems, this is a pretty risky way of getting rid of malware (especially since rewriting or editing genomes is taboo, so you’d have to find a way to bypass the restriction in the code to be able to do this. One wrong move and you’re probably not gonna be doing so good) -Did they get rid of the malware? Yes! Did they also create another new problem for themselves? Also yes! They created the rot :( -They panic for a bit, try to get the rot off but fail miserably. Around this time GW gets rather concerned for UI and tries to ask them if they’re doing alright, however get no answer back. Some others from the local group also try to see what happened to UI, pebbles being their closest neighbor tries to send his overseers to their can after also trying to contact them and failing. He didn’t think it was this bad at first, sometimes UI just pulled silly pranks on the group so he assumed this was another prank gone wrong, however he discovers that they have the rot after sending overseers to their can. He is met with the option of keeping quiet about it (probably what he would’ve wanted too if he was in their situation), or tell the local group to at least get them to stop being so worried (little does he know if he tells the local group the panic will only get worse). -Well uhm!!!! THIS IS REALLY NOT GOOD FOR UI!!!!! THEY HAVE NOTICED PEBBLES’ OVERSEER AT THEIR CAN, AND DESPITE DESTROYING IT, IT DOESN’T ERASE THE FACT THAT HE NOW KNOWS ABOUT THIS TOO. they frantically contact him, asking him not to share this with the rest of the local group so as to not get them even more worried. Pebbles agrees to keeping quiet AS LONG as it doesn’t get worse, however if it does get worse then he will have to do something to help them (as much as they both dislike this. UI doesn’t want the local group knowing (especially GW) about their condition, and pebbles doesn’t wish to put up with UI’s shenanigans since they can get real annoying sometimes) -So far this is where the story leaves off, i will be giving updates about this au once i come up with more lore! So so sorry if this is hard to read or written badly, it is almost midnight! Do please tell me if I made some mistakes here so I can go back and fix them!

currently the world is ending for me (aka i have no recent lore ideas for the au where UI gets the rot (RC au)) and i am exploding and bawling and throwing myself down on the floor and swimming in the void soup and disappearing forever (aka just trying to come up with ideas... and failing smh)

awwwwww no need to apologize!!!! it is ok!!!! i haven't thought about that yet! hmmm perhaps there might be taboos that are easier to overwrite than others??? :0 if you got any ideas please do send an ask!!! i would love to hear your ideas! oooo another small idea! it is illegal to code an iterator without these taboos, however perhaps you can clutter the code so much that when theres a regular code check up being done, nothing would seem too out of the ordinary apart from how cluttered the code is then there'd be laws made against that too and then someone definitely is gonna find another way to still keep their malware iterator, and then it basically devolves into chaos until the ancients don't bother to do anything about it since they're all going to ascend in 5 cycles anyways
