Wait...is there a way to make "book covers" in ao3?

No, the typical way is just using the first chapter as the "book cover" and uploading the image within the first chapter. There's no current way on AO3 to make a "book cover" and believe me, its a fucking godsend.

Wattpad is so disgustingly rife with stolen fanart because people just blindly believe they have an inherent right to anything uploaded on the internet and that the original creators can just "let them know if they want it removed" or "it was posted online so its fine for me to use."

Its abhorrent and selfish.

I hate it when some anti's preech about "listen to poc voices" yet get mad and call the same poc's racial slurs when they do something they deem as "irredeemable". Heck even Xenophobic too when ppl are callingout artists, almost 50% they'll say stuff like "Oh ofc its a _____ "

I don't strictly think that racism is solely an anti pitfall or mindset. I know plenty of people who identify as proship who have the same "listen to X!" battle march until X are no longer in harmony with their thoughts and opinions.

Racism, in my opinion, should never be classed as something that is simply 'fandom.' Racism is down to the individuals. And those individuals are everywhere. Antis just happen to correlate their racism with their other personal beliefs and values.

That said, you can always report racism you see on online platforms. While it may never truly silence those people, its certainly a pleasantly annoying inconvenience to them to experience chat bans or having their accounts removed. Even however temporarily; its one less racist voice in the sandbox.

I never said that therapists don't hurt people at all. In particular, religious therapists imposing their beliefs and religious values upon patients is a very prominent issue that the professional field is battling against on a constant basis.

(Experienced also in pretty much every professional field right now.)

((Re; the 'since when' response, the point of that was to reinforce that the people who do, when appropriately acted against, are not in the field for long. Because again, that is not the purpose of nor correct approach to therapy.))

My point was that, overall, therapists should not get into therapy for the purpose of nor use as a technique impressing their own individual beliefs upon a patient. While antis were the focal point of my post, the sentiment is universal. Regardless of why, and regardless of the fact that it does happen.

The main basis of their argument was dismissing mine by insisting that both "nobody actually does that" and then "but people actually do that!"

It was a totally moot argument fuelled by emotion and lack of literacy.

That's what I was responding to.

Antis who proudly proclaim they're going to become a therapist so they can shut down and manipulate and unethically target all the 'nasty proshippers' make me laugh because they're going to get two months into any sort of qualifying course and be slapped in the face by the reality that therapists are obligated to remain objective and impartial and will lose their license if they're found to be using their position to be unfairly bias or negatively target clients based on their own personal beliefs and values.

"Objectivity helps counsellors avoid personal biases and allows them to focus on the client's needs without imposing their own beliefs or values." - American Counselling Association

"Therapy should feel like an inclusive and safe place for clients. Clients need to feel safe and supported in their work. And while all therapists have inherent biases and personal preferences, it is never appropriate for them to engage in discrimination, racism, sexism, or other forms of prejudice with clients." - Medcircle

You do not get into therapy to correct people. You get into therapy to help them. Therapy is not about the therapist.

E.g; if an artist is repetitively reblogging a piece of their art to 'boost' its reach, would this or has this lead to you unfollowing them?

sometimes I forget that the server with all my online friends is very antishipper-centric and I let my guard down and then get hit with a person I consider my friend casually saying “just a reminder that proshipping is genuinely disgusting :3” and all my other friends saying “true!” And “I agree totes” and I have to sit there and twiddle my thumbs like “haha yeah totally guys…”

someday they’ll get it

I mean. The only thing I have to say to that is why are you still friends with those people and why are you still in that server.

Not even from a 'being proship is the only way' point but these people are not going to be kind to you at all. You're just putting yourself at risk being with them and being in that space.
