Hello, I know that your blog is about discourse, but I wanted to ask something about ao3: is there a way to put images there?
My blog is about many things, not strictly discourse. I'm more than happy to assist or discuss on other matters.
And as it happens, there are! There are a few ways you can insert an image into the main body;
This tutorial is one such way.
So is this one.
Then there's all the fuckery with the actual HMTL, but nobody has time for that and if you write on AO3 in the HTML mode, God is scared of you anyway.

An investigation found hundreds of known images of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in an open dataset used to train popular AI image generation models, such as Stable Diffusion. Models trained on this dataset, known as LAION-5B, are being used to create photorealistic AI-generated nude images, including CSAM. It is challenging to clean or stop the distribution of publicly distributed datasets as it has been widely disseminated. Future datasets could use freely available detection tools to prevent the collection of known CSAM. This isn't some "gotcha". This is something that actually HAPPENED.
Firstly;

Secondly, pick a fucking argument, dude. You've gone from asking me if I think AI rape images are fine to asking if I think AI CSA is fine because its using real CSEM to calling out that some AI datasets were contaminated.
So what's your argument? Are you arguing against my moral values or against AI? Those specific AI programs? People using art to fulfil unorthodox fantasy?
Copy-pasting statements after a furious little google search because I'm not bending over ass-backwards to agree with you is presenting what point, exactly?
AI bad?
Taboo kink bad?
Fictional content bad?
RPF bad?
Which is it? Help me out here. Is it some hybrid of all of those points?
Because I mean if your point is that AI is bad, I agree! Whole heartedly. For a multitude of reasons, not least one of your copied points; that it is actually basically impossible to make the AI forget something its learned. Hence; scrapping it all and starting over. Hence; stricter laws that only allow AI to be trained on specific open source datasets. Hence; requiring human approval for reference images and constant human monitoring rather than simply allowing the AI to run unsupervised, as most are.
I just don't agree that using various mediums to create fictional art that isn't created with a malicious directive is bad. Whether that's done by hand or using (god forbid) AI.
Can all ex-antis get a hell yeah? it's hard to get out of that space with all of the abuse and "good vs bad" mindset
Ex-antis can get every single hell yeah. And every single praise for getting themselves out of that kind of destructive environment. You're right in that it can be so incredibly hard to get yourself out of such spaces; cult-like communities with abusive culture like that.
Ex-antis are always welcome on this blog and in the proship side of things. I will never shame someone for having the courage to change and grow and learn.
And for any current antis wondering; no. Getting out of that toxic space does not require you to actively be invested in, create or consume any content you are not comfortable with. It never will require that. That is not what being proship or profiction is about.

I stopped being an anti because I was bored so I made a proship acc (not to expose people and harass them, just out of boredom /gen) and found out my #1 fav artist was a proshipper so I kept tha blog for a few more weeks just to interact with them more... đ
and the more I came into proship spaces the more I realized how harmful anti spaces were. I was constantly stressed, and worried about getting harassed for my oc being gay due to childhood sexual trauma and many other things.
(btw me n my fav artist are friends now.)
I love asks like this. I'm so glad you got yourself out of that harmful space and even found a friendship to boot.
Honestly; a lot of people don't actually realize how harmful the more extremist/active 'anti' community is. If you're living in constant fear of doing the 'wrong thing' or constant fear that you're next, that you'll be harassed or called out or harmed, it is not safe. It is not healthy.
There's no right or wrong way to 'become' proship. There's no obligations to interact with content you don't enjoy if you do, either.
As an ex-anti I feel a little bad because I only stopped being one when it was my ship they started targeting. I wonder if I ever would have changed if I never happened to ship a "bad ship" one time or if I'd still be spouting the same nonsense today. :-/
This is actually one of the most common ways people stop being an anti. When you're forced onto the other side of the argument, it often brutally enlightens you to faults in your own arguments and perspective.
You never truly understand what someone else is thinking until you're forced to think in the same way, or to recognise how and why they think the way they do.
Unfortunately, sometimes antis will experience that and only double down on their own argument, declaring themselves the exception or inventing increasingly varied reasons for why things don't apply to them.
thereâs an anti on YouTube that goes on to fix ânasty proshipper incest artâ
except the art is completely tame, it is about a father and his daughter doing normal family stuff, she sits on his lap, hugs him and claims that she loves him and he holds her and theyâre both happy, but apparently antis see these completely normal family interactions as incest and pedophilia
Yet what really surprised me the most was that I later found out the artist they are targeting is an open homophobe and ableist
antis focused so much on their art that they completely neglected to focus on more important things regarding this artist, instead they had enough time âfixingâ art and raging about apparent problems when there were none to begin with
